I was curious as to what happened with the MIUIv5 Unofficial thread linked here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1756659&highlight=miui
Everything seemed to be fine, then it was closed and no new one has opened.
Yea so sad,i dont know what the reason for that
U can directly download it in official miui website..btw latest build 3.12.27 very fast and stable

I was asking as the fix for the XT912 CDMA was posted, in particulary the Verizon mod. Can't find that anywhere except a page written in mandarin.

Was wondering if anyone had a mirror for the Galnet MIUI ICS ROM since the original link for the ROM has been down for a few days already. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone can link me to one! I really want to try the ROM out. Thanks in advance.

You would be better off googling. The mods will close this thread and delete any links to galnet roms due to various rule violations

Dude... Go to the GalnetMIUI website...

Their download server has been down for days.
dont even bother, 1.11.9 imo is even more stable than 2.11.26. the minor bugs are stil there and you risk bootlooping and then wiping etc.
So I take it the answer is "No" ~ who (aside from OP lol) said anything a/b galnet ... i am simply interested in a mirror for MIUI 2.11.26 ICS..
fear of bootlooping ... come on fellers ...LOL

Seriously though, other than a few theme differences, all the major bugs from 1.11.9 are still there, and the "no service" bug is actually back, whereas 1.11.9 didn't have it.
I suggest staying away as well.
I've reported the bug on the Galnet forums in the 2.11.26 release thread and in a separate bug report thread with no response whatsoever.
2.x results in bootloop. Coming from KK5. Coming from Miui 1.x. Wiping data/cache/dalvik.. everything wiped.. nothing works!

To get it to properly boot up, flash the latest weekly, then don't wipe, and install 2.11.26.
Do we have any Cm9 nightly build.... I came looking here and there cuz I saw in a thread named WIUI that their MIUI4 version is based on Cm9 nightly ....
One more thing that I flashed Cm9 experimental build latest.. I just want to know whether the scrolling issue is known bug or what...?

Yes there are, search in general and original Android development sections for relevant threads.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
If you have a question about CM9, ask in the CM9 Q&A thread. But actually before that, please search(read) the thread so you don't ask a question that already has been asked and answered.

Any questions, problems, or comments? Leave them here for others to reply! Let's keep the developmental thread clean of stuff that is not related to the development of the ROM (untested features, untested kernels, third party apps, etc; pretty much anything other than what comes stock with the rom). That's why that thread is in the development section. Now with that in mind, post away!
Keep up-to-date with the rom here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1821523
can we make thuis thread cover all 3 miui v4 2.8.3 roms in this device section?
Nope .. its better to ve separate threads.. coz all three are different.. it ll be a kinda mess:thumbdown:
So it's not exactly official? Or is it? I couldn't tell from reading the posts in the dev thread
it's an unofficial build
There will be any problem if i flash the rom with amonra 3.06 instead cwm???

I'm a little confused. It's unofficial but the real deal right? Not just a themed CM9?

It's based on Cm9 nightlies by argen!
To Prevent Any Confusion
MIUI Wont Support LDPI/MDPI Phone
But We From Miui.US might give this little phone official support(might be) but mostly you will get the weekly build for this device if it stable.
That all.
All Miuiv4 ROM are based on CM9/AOKP/AOSP/

Zackconsole, first of all thanks for your great ROM. It's almost stable for me, no problems except of known ones.
Just one thing i've noticed: could you check why vtb24 app(sorry, can't post the link because of posts count) isn't compatible with your ROM? It's compatible with all the ROMs i've tried(Lupo's, hep's, all MIUI ROMs) except of yours. Maybe something wrong with build.prop?
Thanks in advance.
Installed the new version. Did a full wipe, clear dalvik, cache.
Bugs i've encountered:
1. Crash when trying to enable Wi-Fi through settings.
2. Missing strings in settings(the first one leads to VPN and Tethering settings, the second one gives a crash.)
3. As mentioned in the development thread the com.android.media process crashes sometimes.
Thanks for fixing signal strength though:good:
Edit: can't get a log at the moment due to the missing Wi-Fi.

To get theme working: go to /data/system/ --> create new folder name: theme
I've got a question and sorry if i post in the wrong thread ..from the 3 ports of MIUI on our phone which one do you think it's better and ..let's say "bugfree" ( i know there are bugs on every rom ) ..thanks in advance guys

To be able to use and apply themes you have to create a folder @ /data/system/(Create New Folder)theme
Make sure it's lower case however. I think it matters.

This one should be in the future! But until then I would go with Kao Ken X3 or however you spell it.
It's fast, very stable and a pretty good ROM. Use it until the bugs in this one are gone
*Sorry for the double post :s
As you can see here, there is an nice JB MIUI Rom for CDMA with Buttered Toast Kernel inside!
Is someone able to port this to GSM?
Nearly all little Bugs are fixed, so it sounds good that this can be a nearly bugfree daily driver!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1942898
I will start trying it myself but i have no experience in Rom development or porting! So maybe someone says that its easy for him to do! Or maybe there already is a new port of 2.10.19 that i don´t know yet!
A) its not easy to simply port over a rom
B) miui has already officially started working on a jb build which can be found in the thread in general
C) THIS SHOULD BE IN Q&A
Sent from my HTC EVO 3D X515m using Tapatalk 2
The official builds are also just ported as far as i know or build by some devs, thats the reason why i ask for that, i don´t know how many work it is to port a rom! But there has been some ports of older version, but they have some bugs which make them hard to use as daily driver!
I know that this maybe should be in Q&A but its an GSM Specific thing, thats why i asked for it here or maybe showed some GSM users how far Dev is in CDMA!
GSM dev is also Far and very very good and i really thank all the devs for thier nice work! without them i would be really unhappy with my phone!

I'll have a look...
EDIT: There's no point:
1. As already said, official builds are out.
2. MIUI is a pain to port and by the time I get it to boot the official build will already be a daily driver.
I already have a port from Sensation miui JB but it has some bugs, i will try to port this and hope to get it working.

It has the same bugs as the CDMA one.

Install ROM
Install Gapps: http://bit.ly/UZgZTh
Reboot

I flashed your ROM and my first impressions are that it's very good. I've noticed a bug though. When you change the workspace to Tablet mode the phone is stuck at the boot animation, and I've had to do a full wipe to boot it up again. Apart from that, everything is good for now, and I'll continue testing it.
EDIT: It's in tablet mode after the wipe. I guess the configuration files are in the system partition..
EDIT2: The same happens when I change to other modes as well.

You can also get MIUI direct from MIUI for our EVO 3D GSM. I did a full wipe then installed this from recovery:
http://files.miuiandroid.com/2.10.19/miuiandroid_shooteru-2.10.19.zip
This is the latest from MIUI themselves, for our phones.
Then install the gapps from above post.
This is the link to the MIUI thread containing the rom for lots of phones:

Thank if I helped

That´s nice to read, but this is a ICS build, which we already know, here it is about the JB build, so newer android, and not sense based!
EDIT: To all of you here, you also have a problem with sound? It only starts working if i change volume via volume rockers! Thats my biggest problem with the JB build, can that be fixed with something??
I got to look which Hboot etc i use! Will write again soon with that infos!

Hello,
Does anyone have a download of the MIUI v4 or v5 rom that was cooked by Notorious? I checked all the links, the files have been removed. I am unsure whether he does not want people using this rom anymore and the threads are now locked.
From reading posts, bother versions turned out pretty stable in the end?
