It's a build-in feature/app for people who are blind. Whenever you touch a button, touch a text, etc... play a sound assigned to that button/read it out to you

Android doesn't have that by default, use Poweramp music player from the play store. In the settings there is an option for lock screen player.

Spotify also has a lock screen player.

Where do you enable the lock screen? It was the first thing I looked for but can't
find where to enable it.

In spotify or on the phone?
Phone: menu, settings, security, lock screen options.
There's no option in Spotify, it just does it. It's unfortunately added to the swipe/password unlock screen rather than the Samsung one.

Hello Everyone,
I'm using "Vault" which is a program where I can hide sms, calls and photos on my GS3 I9300, and I'm wondering how I can hide it from my "application manager" because I was able to do it when I was using Iblacklist on Iphone
Thank you guys
Don't know about the app manager but u can hide the app from app drawer by pressing menu button in the app drawer and select hide applications.......

I searched for this too. Using Titanium Backup you can "Freeze" the app labeled "Power" under Backup/Restore. This will get rid of the notification button, but will also remove the "Battery" list in your android settings. I just downloaded a different battery app or widget to replace it.

Download the MoDaCo Toolkitfrom here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2245765
Then select enable button options. If you long press a notification you then receive a prompt to either force close or disable notifications. Thats what I did works great!
This is one of the things that I really don't like about iOS - the fact that the screen turns on and displays the message whenever it's received. No other Android phone I've used does this.
Is there any way to turn this off? I don't think it's in the settings; I've looked everywhere. Maybe a mod?
In the messaging app
Settings>notification settings>uncheck "screen on"

Thats really weird. I am on a custom rom though so maybe it was an edited sms app. what you could do is completely turn off notifications, download sms popup from the play store, and set sms popup to handle notifications. this has the added benefit of giving you a popup similar to cyanogenmod's messaging app. you would have to turn off screen on from notification in sms popups settings to get it working how you want.
Nice! That works perfect. Thanks

No Problem, glad I could help
The "screen on" option is only available from a custom ROM. I've since set up my whole device and I'm on the Hyper ROM which has the setting. I'm not sure why this isn't an option on plain stock, but at least I have it now.
