Remove wifi notification and GPS reticle? - HTC Droid DNA

Probably floating around out there, but is there a usable zip to flash or mod to remove the wifi notification from the notification pull down, and that annoying GPS reticle? All the files I'm finding have broken links or are no longer there. Or an xposed module that I possibly haven't found yet.

This mod should work for you. Just flash in TWRP or CWM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2010278
If for some reason it doesn't work, read through the forum (it's only 7 pages or so), there are other options briefly discussed. This will only solve the wifi notification, but you may be able to do a little of what's discussed in that forum to handle to gps reticle as well. I'm not sure about the latter.

What I did was ask google now for the weather and then press the up and down volume keys repeatedly, TTS began to work immediately.

yeah tried that and still couldn't get it to work, I also found out that none of my music players could play music from the SD Card, tried switching from CWM to TWRP as some suggested formatted and cleared everything and reflashed and both problems were still there, so i've gone back to my old rom for now till those are sorted.

Mms background

So I'm running the stock rooted deodexed and slightly modded rom from MCD and when I go into mms app and go to change the background all that comes up is the option to use an HTC one. It worked fine on stock. Am I missing something?

It's a glitch somewhere, sometimes it's there sometimes it's not. just do your normal thing and it will suddenly show up.
There have been several threads on this. My first dna it was there, returned for warranty issues and was given another new one and it was not there. Had ukb rom and it was there. changed to venom rom and gone again. frustrating.

To get the Gallery option to appear, add a folder named .data in /sdcard. Not sure why, but this fixed my this issue on my DNA. I found the fix somewhere on android central.
Hope this helps.

installed Viper rom - can't find clock/alarm app

I just installed the Viper rom on friday however, now i can't find the app/settings so that i can set my alarms on my phone. i was thinking maybe i deleted it on accident via titanium backup, however when looking back at the ROM zip i cannot find the APK in the package (unless i've overlooked it).
is there a way i can download the original DNA clock or even a stock 4.1 clock that would work on the phone? it would be great to be able to set and edit my alarms again so i get up for work on time
Its on there. Did you accidentlu select to uninstall it in aroma?

When you installed the Rom, it was the menu of options you went through in recovery.

Ahh didn't know that's what it was called. and i'm not sure if that is what i did or not i might have accidentally deleted using titanium backup.
however, i've resolved the issue by reinstalling the Viper and making sure that the clock was not marked to be removed by aroma and now it's all working well again. thanks for the help though. i'm glad someone replied. i'm finding the IRC is quiet useful

[MOD] disable/enable capacitive buttons

very simple mod very simple op
*** THIS IS FOR THE CAP BUTTONS - Menu - Home - Back - Search - not for nav bar ***
since the new cm rebase kernel was pushed some things have changed.
my old enable/disable no longer works on the new rebase so here is the new zips
should work on all cm/aosp based 4.2.2 and 4.3 roms
disable: http://www.blownco.com/index.php/doc_download/13402-disable-capacitive-buttons-new-jd81
enable: http://www.blownco.com/index.php/doc_download/13403-enable-capacitive-buttons-new-jd81
for 4.1.2 roms use
disable: http://www.blownco.com/index.php/doc_download/639-disable-capacitive-buttons-jd81-zip
enable: http://www.blownco.com/index.php/doc_download/640-enable-capacitive-buttons-jd81-zip
just flash in recovery and reboot *put both zip's on your phone* flash disable and reboot, if you dont like it then flash enable and go on with your day
if this zip doesnt work for you *ie buttons still work after reboot* well then you dont have the proper rom,
either go on with your day or
-open a file manager
-go to /system/usr/keylayout
-delete the file sec_touchkey.kl
-reboot and go on with your day
Nice! Thanks Jamie, will definitely come in handy for me Pie/Nav bar addition!

it should, there was no change from 4.2.2 to 4.3 in the touch drivers like there was with 4.1.2 to 4.2.2

Hello, first off, well done with this, its working perfectly for my note on PAC JB rom, but was wondering if there is anyway to disable the lights for the buttons, they don't work, but still light up, just wondering, have been searching for a bit and will continue to, but thought I would ask here too, thanks again for all the work you do, have a good one!

edit: i updated op to link to older files
Thought I'd share this for anyone who wants to disable the capacitive button lights. Credit goes to the original post I found at..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2210765
To turn off capacitive button lights:
1. Download a file manager with root access. I used Root Browser.
2. Go to system/lib/hw
3. Find the file named 'lights.msm8660.so'
4. Rename it to anything such as "lights.msm8660.so.old"
5. Reboot.

Wifi toggle?
