I have a GT-P3113 with CM 10.1.2
I installed Mountfolder to my device in an attempt to play Games from the extSD since the device only has about 2GB free space. I successfully created the pair folder and the files were successfully mounted to the SD. I downloaded all the updates beforehand and even played it, so I know it's up to date. When trying to play the game when mounted, it wants me to download the game data to my tablet again. How can I prevent this?

.....and you love to play games on the go then storage is a must for game data.
I upgraded to ICS with condi's fantastic tool but under condi's 3.3 tool I have been unable to use the mass storage option with any success(maybe its me). On installing the tens of gameloft games the internal memory has been quickly eaten up.
The only way that allows me to istall game data is a suggestion from obicom to run a script to direct game data to the external card.
I downloaded "scripter" from google play and inserted;
mount -o bind /mnt/sdcard2/data /mnt/sdcard/Android/data.
(make a folder in sdcard2 called "data")
Only thing I have found is you must run the script every time the tablet has rebooted( which isn't really a problem)
This has worked successfully from HC3.2 to this version of android.
I hope this helps anyone else that installs Gameloft games and to ensure the internal memory stays clear for other things.
One the other hand, if the option in codi's 3.3 tool and has successfully managed to transfer game data over to external card please advise me further.
Cheers,
David.
I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 which has not been rooted. but I use a lot of modded apps especially games. so I wanted to get a psp emulator on it by installing ppsspp and transferred one of my .cso files from my psp to ext sd card, it couldn't play the file after selecting it. Then I asked my friend who has a similar app and he said I should free up my internal memory which was about 30% free ~700mb left. I tried moving some apps to the ext sd using the pre installed app manager. I tried moving some but after a long time some could not move. then suddenly phone rebooted. All the app I moved to the ext sd or installed there by default now had this appearance of an app waiting to the sd to be ready if one immediately boot a phone. Prior to this event I installed a modded µtorrent pro and downloaded thru it. Now all the sd apps that were "not installed" now appeared in the ext sd with a "µ" prefix before them followed by some letters contained in the app's name. ie µIONRUS~1.apk . I don't know if it's a virus or malware that caused but I have Lookout and Avast installed.
Hi guys,
I have android kitkat 4.4.4, which is OS that has disabled function of moving large app data (obb files) to external SD card. My device is Huawei Ascend G620S-L01 (same as Honor 4 Play). I have root. I am browsing this and other forums for 2 days. I tried several solutions, but each has a issue. I tried each type of solution with more apps so that I can be sure, there is no problem in the app:
- Clean master says that my device does not allow to move apps to SD.
- System app uninstaller told me there is no need to transfer data, because sd card is shared (wtf?). I tried some more apps that should transfer app data.
- SD unlockers - I thought there would be a need to unlock my sd card, it was written on some forum, so I tried. It went successful, but still nothing was able to transfer app data to sd card.
Then I read about mounting, so I tried several programs. All of them had same issue - the game was looking for its data and trying to download them, eventhough they had been mounted. More people with different devices, had same problem, but most of them were just running game unmounted, or without reboot. I tried reboot and also checked mount before running a game.
I hope I was just doing something wrong and it will be possible to store apps on my SD. One guy had a solution for this, he wrote two scripts to overwrite something that I did not understand, but they made it possible to store obb data on SD card and also made apps look for them on SD (I have no problems to transfer data manually, but no app will look for them on external SD). Please, is there any solution for me?
EDIT: My phone has also emulated SD card, but I need to transfer it to external SD.
root?

Hi, I can't help you but was hoping you could help me. What rooting method did you use. I have already unlocked my bootloader. Thanks
Hello guys
I have an Acer Iconia Tab 8 A1-840 and I have a few games. The problem is that I don't have enough space in the internal memory for all my games. I want to link the obb files to my sd but every app I've tried gives me an error.
- Directory Bind does not move the files.
- Link2SD gives me "Link2SD package invalid".
- And Foldermount gives me "Unknown Error".
So I don't know what can I do to link my games to the SD. I think that the problem is caused because of my x86 CPU, a Quad-Core Intel Atom, or could it be my sd card? My system version is stock KitKat 4.4.4.
Sent from my A1-840 using XDA Free mobile app.
The issue is that the way android works the sd card is not made to run apps off of. Mainly as Google removed the native android code for sd cards. So app developers don't make apps that work that way

Are you able to move app from phone memory to SD Card ?
I can't move apps to my SD card natively, my tablet uses the internal storage for every app related files. I had another tablet before (the HP Slate 7) that didn't let me move apps to sd natively but I could move the obb an data files using Directory Bind, but it had an ARM A9 CPU and JellyBean 4.1.1, also it's internal memory path was /storage/sdcard while in my actual tablet it is /storage/emulated/0.

Okay, so root your device can help with your problem.
You can link your obb's to your usb drive, for that you need a cheap usb-otg cable and a usb drive (4gb) or you can just get a usbotg (portable)
1. Connect that to your device and copy the Android folder which has the obb to the root of the usb drive
2. Then download XInternalSD from here http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.pyler.xinternalsd
3. Activate it in Xposed and reboot.
4. After that open XinternalSD and select the path to your usb drive, in my case it is /mnt/usbotg. You can find this in Es File Explorer easily.
5. Enable the games in XInternalSD that you wanna run, don't enable all apps, just enable the games that you wanna run, in my case - GTA San Andreas, FIFA 15, Asphalt 8 and NFS MOST WANTED.
6. Reboot and start the game.
I call this MHD (Mobile Hard Disk)
Press thanks if I helped.

I already have an otg cable an and a pendrive I could use, but I would really prefer to use my SD Card. I found an app called Obb to SD which needs xposed but I don't have it installed. I don't want to install xposed framework yet since I haven't found a way to unbrick my tablet in case that it gives me a brick and I think it might cause a brick because of my x86 CPU. Thanks for your help anyway .

I no longer have the "Link2SD package invalid" problem . At first I thought it was because of my CPU, but it was because the patch wasn't working well (I wanted to try Link2SD plus before buying it). Thanks to all of you guys for helping me ! Now I can finally play my games.
you can use gl to sd but you need root
I've got a Galaxy Grand Prime Plus and it is really trash. After first boot (nothing installed) it had 1GB free, after setting up google account it started to update its own apps (there were 20 updates, Samsung apps, Google apps, etc) while updating its own apps it ran out of space and asked me to free space so that Google Play can continue to update and I was like "wtf, how can I free space when I didn't even start using the storage."
So long story short, I rooted the device, Installed SuperSu, modified `/system/etc/init.sec.boot.sh` context and content so that it runs as root user with `init` context, formatted my sd card as ext4. Now I can mount my sd card ~5-6 sec after init starts. I'm trying to do one of these:
1. It would be great if I could rsync contents of `/data` to sd card and somehow replace it with the mounted sdcard in early boot stages.
2. If above is not possible, it would also be great if I could rsync contents of `/data/data` and `/data/app` to my sdcard and replace them during boot.
Can I achieve one of above goals?
