[Q] Which custom ROM for 1GHz model?

Hello there,
I've just had an Archos 80 delivered, its the model with a 1GHz processor and 512 RAM. It was second hand and came with 4.0.26 official firmware. I've managed to install the SDE and put [email protected] on it which is based on 4.0.25 and it seems pretty jerky compared to the official ROM which was nice and smooth.
I'd like to have it rooted and optimized for performance, is there a better ROM which would work better for my low spec version of this tablet? I read another thread that said 4.0.6 is the best, but as I've had 4.0.26 on here, does that mean I can't go back to older versions?
Thanks very much for advice

You can go back or forward to any ICS version if you use a rooted stock version (it will behave as a custom version for all intents and purposes).
Other have also said that 4.0.7 is the best version. I use rooted 4.0.26, and recently had about 800 hours of uptime before I reset to test something.
Best Rom
I have almost the same tablet as you except 1.2 GHz so if you want [email protected] the best is ICS_BLUE.V03. Otherwise the rooted 4.0.26 is good if you don't have a lot of media files, Media Center slows my tablet to a crawl scanning my almost 500 music files. The new Jelly Bean 4.1.2 is going to be best when finished, I have almost no problems at all with it.
Hmm ok so I installed [email protected] and it seems a little better. Is it possible to overclock this processor? Do I just need to copy a different kernel?

The GPS is not very functional on 4.0.26. At least not on my Turbo 16GB that is only a few weeks old. I actually went back to 3.2.80.
I have no issues with the Gps in 4.0.26
This screener is made on my tablet.

As you can see, i got a nice and fast fix.
It does seem to work most of the time. Sometimes I have to reboot to get it to detect satellites though.
It seems that every 80g9 acts different even its exactly the same tablet with the same specs.
I guess that i am just one of the lucky ones

Asus Zenpad 7.0 (Z370CG) can install ROM AOSP?

Hi everyone, I just bought my Zenpad 7.0 (2Gb RAM version) but I have feel very disappointed about the performance of it. Very slow (slower than my older device Lenovo Tab 2 A7-10 with MediaTek chipset, 1Gb RAM and GPU Mali-450MP) when playing game
So I think the problem at the stock ROM of ASUS, it have lots of useless apps for me, it takes more RAM, CPU, ... Do you know any custom roms or aosp rom can install with this deivce, please give me the link. I'm looking for AOSP ROM but don't know it can install on my devece or not?
Thank you all, bros.
Same feeling here.
There has been a slight improvement with the recent system update that was available, but overall the tablet's performance is pretty crappy. And ofcourse all the useless bloatware....
I wish I didn't drop my TF300, but what can you do against an accident, right? I've been looking for a custom rom as well, but I got a feeling the mass just knows it's ****.

Could anyone make a custom rom for samsung j500f?

Guys , could anyone make a custom rom with a stock rom of j2 or anyother that can perorm more faster and with better battry life and stable rom while giving the android N features? it will be a great pleasure to all samsung j5 users.
there's a rom made from j2.but its not stable. and with another one with a5 but it lacks performance. there are others many cutom roms but i prefer the way of stock roms of samsung. could anyone develop or remake a one???????????????????????????????????????????????????????
search for resurrection remix rom
Yah i tried that. but i dont like that much. speed and features wise its good. but im looking for a one with a more likely interface with samsung stock roms.
have you ever used j2ux rom? its great with speed and bttry. but not stable. there are bugs. after V3 it stopped developing. im looking a one like that,
i have also used skies rom. thats bit slow.
and also a5ux rom also good. when doing 2 , 3 tasks its getting laggy. and also in gaming game freezes at times.

I run rooted stock firmware with my own choice of mods, like Anxious V30 and Gravity Box.
Which variant do you have?

H-932. I mostly want swipe gestures and a system wide night mode. I'm currently on debloated flashable stock Oreo ROM and it performs well. Also I like being able to change the Resolution.
Try Xenon HD with custom kernel like Ceres 145 SE Linux Permissive
