The case comes with all korean version smartphone within the package, as most korean smartphone comes with 2 battery as standard, you can also get it with a purchase of a spare battery, but will depend on which country the battery is sold from.
call samsung cust. support, tell them you lost yours... maybe they'll send you one for free or a small fee. if you can't find it from any online outlet, just call a place that you know has them, and ask. if it's something simple (say a battery case), i usually say i lost it, and the rep is sometimes nice and sends me a replacement at no cost.
yes you get with sammy battery and charger kit
I personally would not lie to get something for free. Thats just downright wrong.
The case comes with Samsung batteries. If you buy a Genuine Samsung battery it comes with the case.
You can try on Ebay which is full of those plastic covers. And they are cheap too.

looking to buy a larger capacity battery for 8525.
been looking at this one:
http://sfplanet.com/product/PDAB011?meta=FRG
any other suggestions?
is it a good idea? are there batteries with even LARGER capacities... i want to avoid some of the drainage issues that plague the 8525.
thanks...
I have that same battery. I can't tell that it lasts a whole lot longer. It seems to be a little thicker than the OEM battery and the cover doesn't fit completely flat. It's nice to have the spare battery anyway.
any suggestions on some cradles?
I can't help you on the cradles. I don't have one of those. I'm still using the basic sync cables.
Hi Cap battery
I bought this one. It lasts greater than twice as long as stock. It is THICKer so it increases the profile of your phone, if that's an issue.

I am running on a 2800mAh battery which is really made of high quality! Even the battery door fits exactly and does not move at all! I bought before extended batteries from the same seller for my MDA which were also excellent! Here a link (the auction will be over in 26 minutes but he has more! )

Not sure to what you're referring to but you even can buy the original OEM standard battery for less than $5.00 on eBay!
I got my 2800mAh battery for 9.99 - I was the only one bidder and it it works great! Even battery status works properly in the device!
You sure can throw money away by walking in to a Cingular store and pay $40.00 + tax or you go the smarter way and order online! Your choice!

I posted my review of the 3000mAh battery in this thread including a link to the ebay auction that I bought it from. He has an ebay store as well.

How can you prove its really oem and not another labeled battery, ebay is trash these days plus dont forget to add your $20-30 dollar shipping charge on there
Well, how can you be sure that your Cingular store has OEM products and did not get scammed by another chinese suplier?
Next question is: does OEM still exist? In this days manufacturer do not produce their own stuff anymore, they go around shopping and getting the stuff from the cheapiest supplier! OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) really needs a new definition!
All the stuff is made in chaina anyway, and believe me: lots of the 'OEM' even in stores is not even close 'being OEM'. As example Cingular leather cases have never heard of HTC ...
If you think you got scammed on eBay with non-oem products you can file a claim! However, 1500mAh and above batteries are not OEM because of HTC never 'released' them for the Tytn, so, we are discussing in this thread non-OEM products and not OEM
Hi
i'm also in the market for a new battery
wondering if anyone here has managed to change the battery and also have any sort of battery meter show a 'half percentage'. by that i mean like, 61%, 62%, 63% and so on, and not as 60% 70% as is the case with my phone!
my phone only shows the battery level in 10% increments and its driving me up the wall!
i was also looking at a 'same size' 1500mah battery from a mildly reputable seller, can anyone reccoment one?
with thanks,
duke.

Sorry, the 10-percentage rate is all you will get with the HERMES!
so is there absolutely no way to get 1% increments on the hermes?! is this dependent on the battery or is it a phone thing?
The next best thing is a min timer for the battery, it goes by your current usage and estimates the time remaining on your battery down to the last min. I will try to find the link to the program, but IIRC it was part of GPRS monitor.
Found the link http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/gprsmonitor/?en
The Kaiser battery version show the exact %...wonder if anyone can hack that one to work on hermes?
I was wondering if anyone else has tried the cheap chinese batteries off of ebay. They won't explode will they?
Do you remember all the problems we had with Chinese drywall?
I'm looking to order one too, so I'll report back!
Been using mine for about 10 days now. Although advertised as "1500mah", they are actually a tad thinner than the stock 1400 battery. My guess is that they might actually be 1100? At any rate, they don't seem noticeably lower in capacity than the OEM battery.
The charger mine came with has been great. Doesn't seem to charge too quickly; very convenient. However, I tried the USB out part of the charger, and I think there is a grounding issue: my Tbolt touchscreen is non-responsive when plugged into the charger USB port.
I am getting more adept at using my fingernails to peel the back of the Tbolt to change batteries; but I hope I'm not ordering a new back from China any time soon.
I had good luck with the set i had for my Eris. I am waiting for the ones I ordered for the bolt.
As far as battery changing goes, i was just going to modify a cover with a small hinge, if i can fit one in i might sell em here. But yeah i guess i'll order them, so i'll have one stock battery, one htc extended battery and 3 of these chinese batteries then, that should be enough to last a weekend of heavy usage
I used them with my DINC and they worked great.
Put them in a fire if you want them to explode or over charge them. LOL
Overcharge? Will using a wall charger overcharge them?

i already did a write up on these batteries. make sure you search before posting
do not buy ebay extendeds.
i've been using an ebay extended for a few months. sucks. placebo.
i recently started using the seidio extended. it is slightly thicker. night and day difference between ebay and seidio. it's amazing.
the ebay extended is as good or worse than the stock 1400mah
when i get to ~50% it jumps to 40% FAST
no they don't explode, they just suck. invest in a seidio. i think i am a heavy user. ~4.4GB of data usage per month. all background updates on and all that good stuff.
i used $4 3500mAh batteries on my D1 with the no problem. i cannot pay $50 for an extended battery when i know i costs them $2 to make it. battery markup is ridiculous. but anyways a 3500mAh battery on my D1 got me through 2-3 days depending on usage im sure a 3500mAh one for the tbolt will make it through the day

Tried a 1700 mAh one and while it did not explode, I doubt it has 1700. It doens't last any longer than the original 1400 mAh.
Oh, don't forget that everything is made in China now. The phone itself is made in Taiwan. I did not check but the original battery may be made in China too
Those cheap chinese batteries worked ok for me on my Inc.. So based on that I got them for my TB too.. and was never happy with them. They never charge fully.. the minute you pop them into the phone.. the charge is down to 75%.. plus one of them just caused frequent power downs.
I would recommend buying any of the OEM batteries or their equivalent from ebay.
So I bought one of the cheap Ebay 1800mAH batteries. I received it today & I pulled the sticker off the top of it & just like every other knockoff battery I've bought on Ebay it is not 1800mah. Underneath the sticker it says 1000mah.
Do not buy these batteries unless you want a low capacity battery.

I ordered these off ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/3x-1800MAH-HIGH...s=63&clkid=1231665763605057141#ht_1860wt_1140
[Edit: this user has sold like 350 of these things and gotten no bad reviews on it yet that I can tell.....so either no one's checking battery life before rating or else he's legit?]
So OP, the sticker thing--Mine look a lot like yours but if I try to peel off the sticker, I think I'm getting into the battery itself--metal and stuff seems be be underneath it. But the wrapper on mine looks identical to yours--should I try peeling? I don't want to damage the batteries...
Also, as to performance, what's the best way to test? I guess I can just reboot the phone and wait a set amount of time then measure the battery level (assuming no phone calls, etc)--but even then there are issues of network, etc. Maybe I should just turn off wi-fi, go into airplane mode, then watch 30 minutes of Tron and see where the battery is afterward?
I've got a battery app that shows the % life left and few other things (like how much juice has gone to the screen and specific apps, etc) but I don't think it does what I need it to. I'm willing to pay a few bucks in the market for a great battery monitor.
I have 2 from ebay that look exactly the same and they work perfectly fine, every bit as good as the one that came with it.
I just bought 3 of those with the wall charger the other day. Guess we'll see how they are when they get here.

I got a few of these too and I pealed the sticker and mine say the same thing 1000mah (on the metal looking part). They seem to last pretty long though, maybe 75% of the original. this definitely sucks. Thanks OP for the heads up. I ordered the 2000mah batterys that just popped up on ebay yesterday (from Hong Kong) I will post back when I receive them.
I have contacted both the sellers I ordered from and reported this to ebay, waiting for replys.
Here is what you do!
Here is what you do. If you have a few hours to kill and it is what I did to test my 4G batteries I bought. I would charge the batteries and turn on a navigation app and select a location and let it constantly check and update until the battery dies. With the OG EVO it took like 4 and half hours. and with the siedio 1750 i got an extra 20 mins.
Also the extended batteries would not reach a full charge until SBC kernels showed up, heck the stock batteries didnt get a full charge either so maybe that could be why?
anyways, a lot of people scam others with BS claims on battery ratings on ebay I ordered a 2000 mah battery for my evo and i pulled the sticker and it said 950.
Buyer beware!
Becareful put cheap junk in your superphone.
Why try and run your Porche on cheap of brand 87 octane when it calls for SHELL 93? Yeah it may run but not as well!

Yes it is safe to pull the sticker off. Mine has the metal too as you can see from my pics. I didn't pull from the same part you started to pull from. I started on the back side. The black part. You should see where the sticker ends and you can pull them back from there.
This has been a scam on these types of batteries for a while now. It may seem like you are getting the same battery life, but if you are using battery intensive applications and radios you will see that it is not. With my OG Evo I had 4 cheap Ebay batteries that all claimed to be 3500mah, but none of them even compared to my Sprint branded 2600mah battery. It outlasted those cheapies by almost double. I am sure that maybe there are some legit batteries out there and maybe even on Ebay, but as far as I can tell every single one of these batteries is less capacity then claimed.
I am no expert on testing batteries. All I did was pull the black sticker back to reveal that the battery is 1000mah instead of 1800 mah as claimed.
I bought the battery from here: Ebay
no offense guys, but when you buy a battery that cost 5 dollars, when the oem batteries are 50; do you really expect the same kind of performance?
Now, I agree that the OEM's mark up these things at least 100%, but, you still can't expect top performance when you buy a no name battery as cheaply as they are on Ebay..

right! you get what you paid for, I buy these with the expectation that i'll use them as a backup battery, not as a primary battery that last longer.
in my opinion, even the name brand like Sedio or Mugen "slim extended" battery which cost an arm and a leg are still no better than OEM. even the bulky one don't have as much mah as they claim, although definitely more mah than oem standard
fantasy.bid
I ordered one from fantasy.bid for my samsung transform. And they sell the 1800 evo 3d batteries as well. But after realizing how hard the back was to get off, I am going to get one of these 4,000 batteries for 75 bucks!
http://www.seidioonline.com/product-p/bacy40hev3d-bk.htm
That thing is huge. I would rather carry a second battery and not deal with the heft. Yeah, you have to swap it out but I'd rather do that than carry that thing around. I didn't see the weight but that's a consideration also. To each his own, if that works for you i'm glad you found a solution.

I've been on battery 4hrs and am at 66% after using cardio trainer and listening to music for an hour... FWIW
I bought 9 ebay batteries for my original Evo and they all worked just as well as the OEM.
They last about 2 hours of heavy use maximum but for 12$ u get at least 5 hours of battery time ,so its worth it even tho the battery doesn't charge in the phone and it makes your status bar battery icon go gray with a line thru it
I have a friend that works at AT&T and he just sent me a pic of this product they just got in. It is a spare battery charging system with the spare battery included and it is listed at $49. OEM original is a huge ripoff!
I bought this, 2 battery with battery charger for only 14.99$ !
I used this battery for 3 days now (I charge it nightly when I go sleep),
and I can't tell the different between this cheap battery and OEM original!
this cheap battery lasts just as long as original OEM!
the battery also weight the same as original, it's possible the battery made by the same company, just a different label.
battery charger works on AC and on car with microusb charging!
I highly recommend it!

The product has been in stores at launch date of the g-note, don't know why your friend's store just now receiving it. As for the item, it does what its design to do. Just make sure to connect it to a charger with more than 500mA or else it will be an all day process. I wouldn't and didn't pay $50 for this product.

If you want the OEM one order it from amazon instead. I bought mine for $30. Better off saving the $20 + tax vs buying it in store, you can pretty much buy 2 for the price of one.

Update us later to see how the batteries hold a charge after some use. Seems like a really good deal
Not that I'm questioning u and ur after market battery, just heard a lot of bad things about non OEM batteries. They may be cheaper but they don't last as long as the OEM ones even if they are larger mah batteries

not all non-aftermarket are junk.
I used to have aftermarket battery for Sony x1,
that battery rated the same mAh as OEM
but battery is much lighter and doesn't hold that much charge.
this aftermarket battery for note is heavy, weights the same as OEM.
I have been using this aftermarket battery for 4 days now, it lasts the whole day
I have no need to swap to the other battery. (I charge phone nightly when I go sleep)
I wish someone would make a charging solution that would work with most cases...
So my OEM Samsung battery is about junk. Wondering what people suggest to get as a replacement and why?
Im looking for something that fits the stock battery cover. I had one of those 4400mah batteries but the cover that came with it didn't last long and there was no case that fit it well.
So what does everyone recommend?
I have 2 anker batterys, and while they both work and have about the same longevity of the stock battery, I encountered 1 issue. One night I left my phone on the charger with the anker in it and woke up to find my phone almost too hot to touch and the overheat symbol on screen. I ripped the battery out, and it was swollen to about 1.5 times the thickness of normal. The phone and battery still work fine, but id rather buy a different brand next time. That's my 2ยข if it helps any.
