I'm on 10.1.105.333 ... It was preinstalled
Then I guess you should go to market and update flash to 10.3

I've updated and the problem is still there ... The notification bar covers the top
Yeah, I have this too. Bloody irritating when trying to watch iPlayer etc.

+1 wasn't bother until I realised that the status bar is actually on top on the video so you lose about 6% of the image.
I have the same problem... are you using litening rom by any chance? I didn't have this issue using stock and was wondering if it's litening specific. I asked in the litening thread but no answer.
I'm running stock KE7 KE4 KD1 (CPW) ... Which stock were you running before?

Rootcheck says not rooted but rooted features added still remain

I rooted yesterday using this method (which had me rooted in less than 5 minutes, no problems at all)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1819660
Then i decided to purchase ROM toolbox pro to change up the font and other icons. The fonts worked fine but once i tried changing the battery icon it wouldn't change to the new one after boot. Instead it would show the new circular icon (which is the one i wanted) then fade into the battery icon i didnt want. So after trying to change the icon i decided i didnt want to keep it rooted so i used Ginger Unroot. Once it rebooted i noticed that the animation i had changed when it boots was still playing even though i had supposedly unrooted.
I used rootchecker to check if i was still rooted perhaps and its showing that my phone is no longer rooted but the font i had switched to is still there and so is that battery icon, as well as the animation and other icons i had changed.
So now i dont know if my phone is rooted or not and im not able to reroot using the same method as above anymore because during the process it says "device not found".
My question is i guess, what can i do to just go back to stock but still save my apps and data or can i reroot some other way so that the icons can go back to stock and i can start over fresh.
Thanks in advance for any help!
Unrooting wont undo the changes you made when rooted. Unrooting will simply remove root access. What version is your phone?

>changed battery icon from stock to a bar and number icon using 1% increments
>changed gps, wifi, download, usb, signal, vibrate, voicemail icons and status bar color
>also changed the boot animation that occurs after "motorola dual core" appears after booting.
i didnt add any ROM so i was still in stock i assume
Did you back up anything prior to changing it?

Not that I can remember. I really just want to be able to change the status bar notifications because they seem unsettled. I get 'ghost' icons alot and have to drag down the bar so they can appear normal again.

Official Jellybean question - Not all features work on S3

Hi
Updated via the Jellybean update and now running 4.1.1 (Build JRO03C.I9300XXDLH7)
However, watching the video here..http://cnettv.cnet.com/android-4-1-jelly-bean-sweet-android-update/9742-1_53-50127109.html
shows a camera gallery that doesnt work on our S3s and the offline Voice doesnt seem to work either.
On the video as shes talking its updating the text as she says it, try that on my S3 and nothing.
I know the feature of swipe up to Google now wont work as there is no soft home button.
The Pull down notification bar looks nicer though
Sorry, what is the question?

I'm wondering if our s3 is a crippled version because of Samsung. If you watch the video, ours doesn't seem to do half of what it should do

[Q] How to reset the status bar

Hi
yesterday I updated my SGS3 GTI9300 to the latest official 4.3 update.
The update progress worked fine with odin, but now I face a little problem.
In the status bar, the "eye" icon of the smart view feature is visible all the time. I know its cosmetic, it bothers me.
I guess it can be easily fixed if I clear the data & cache of the status bar apk...But I don't know which application it is.
Can somebody tell me how to fix it?

I dun think u can delete it without having root. Even with root still hard. U have to edit the rom.

Most of the phones now have the smart stay icon permanently. (Even those running 4.1.2 like galaxy core, express, etc) It was just our S3 that wasnt like this during its 4.1.2. days.
Thats just an indication the smart stay is active and u can disable it from the notif bar.
However if you still cannot tolerate it then u can do some ROM editing of your own. IMO its not worth the hassle :/

No the icon is even there, if I deactivate it! This must be a bug, my friends doesnt have this. Only for a few seconds when smart stay checks if your eyes are there
If you install Wanam Xposed framework you can choose to hide the eye icon...

Thanks! I just forgot to use it, cause it was not available for 4.1.2!
Now the eye's gone
