boeefla v3? latest (and final) boeffla kernel is 2.10 stable for cm10.2
but nevermind, it's the correct app. there should be an option in config app to switch LED control to Rom instead of Kernel . then you can go to your settings - buttons - backlight and then switch the backlight off. maybe switch one time on and off your screen or reboot the phone
but it has been a long time since I used boeffla kernel and cm10.2
so if you still have problems please ask in boeffla thread

Hey guys. I been using slim 6 for a while now with kernel mcm siyah 4 malipatched with no problems at all. Fast n amazing battery life.
I had changed to build 7 n allthought it works you cant recieve phonecalls. A few friends had expierenced this too . it s a problem kernel related as it only happens with this kernel. I think is related to the ril bug.
I was wondering if anyone is using this combo or has some tips for me. Thanks

Fusionjack missunderstood the situacion. The ril comes with the pack its not an option. It makes siyah works so u.u .as for your option thanks but i was on your option n i didnt like it.dont get me wrong it works pretty good. But believe when i told you build 6 with this kernel. Dammm that was fast stable n amazing battery life. So now my standars are a lil bit too high. Now im trying gustavos cm kernel. Its smooth n fast but i think battery is not so good. Then i ll try kangbang. N then... I dont really know. I d love some help to understand why this siyah was working on build 6 but not on 7 n if it can be fixed but i dont know nothing about development u.u

Hi
This project started a month ago and now I'm releasing it!
The target is upgrading the kernel till 3.4.76.
This kernel is mainly made to let the others cherry pick commits into theirs to upgrade kernel faster! I "compressed" many commits in less.
If you are going to use it / cherry pick commits into yours please add this in credits:
Code:
KINGbabasula for 3.1.x/3.2.x/3.3.x/3.4.x kernel
This is the github link https://github.com/KINGbabasula/u8500_kernel branch master
Anyone that wants to test the kernel in STOCK ROMS can find latest release here http://goo.im/devs/KINGbabasula/GalaxySAdvance , download the zImage and flash it with Universal Kernel Flasher by frapeti (maybe you'll need to rename it to kernel.bin

Me too. Same thing, now i'm restoring stock with odin. It appeared the samsung s advance written than bootloop.
Eeeem we can also use it with stock based roms right? Not only stock roms?
For flashing procedure; place the file on root of internal storage. Then choose file from this path
Code:
/mnt/sdcard/kernel.bin
Otherwise it will say succesful but it won't flash. At least it's for me.
I was choose this path in the past.It didn't flash
Code:
/storage/sdcard
Also symlink of internal storage wasn't working for me.
The galaxy s4 I9505 has many custom roms but the I9515 and the I9515L have none. Flashing the I9505 one will cause many problems, if you want to cross these limits and flash various roms on your device just download the corresponding files and flash them.
UPDATED v1.3.0: 4.4.2 Touchwiz based rom patch (fully functional) : HERE
4.4.4 Touchwiz based rom patch (wifi-bluetooth not working) : HERE
5.0.1 Touchwiz based rom patch (stock kernel) : HERE
5.0.1 GPe roms patch (stock kernel) : HERE
IF YOU ARE GETTING NOISES DURING CALLS DOWNLOAD :
For 4.4.2 Touchwiz based roms THIS
For 5.0.1 Touchwiz based roms THIS
Note:
You can root by using cf-autoroot found HERE
Twrp recovery:
FLASHABLE IMAGE
ODINFLASHABLE FILE
To ensure not facing any issue flash one of these modems :
4.4.2 Touchwiz based roms modem : THIS
5.0.1 Touchwiz based roms modem : THIS
Known issues:
noises during calls (download the above fix)
wifi stop detecting networks (wiping data/cache/dalvik cache fix it)
Bluetooth or wifi not working (flash the right modem above)
Edit: I am now back to work on porting new Custom Roms to the i9515, and fixing other bugs in stock lollipop. Things are going to be hard, especially after i took a break, but it will be worth it, just wait.
I have setup paypal donations if anyone would like to contribute, it is not necessary, but it would be helpful. I will keep doing my work with or without donations.

It's not about patching kernel but simply rebuilting it with different than stock (i9505) settings. Anyway - which kernel do you want?

I think if you decrease the speaker gain like what guimenez said the noise will disappear because I also hear noises when the volume is at high levels
Hi everyone.
Im using Cm12.1 and before I was in stock 5.1.1 with "color control" Kcal mod, and that was awesome. but now in CM I cant get it work. I seems like the kernel doesnt support it.
Even i try with Kernel Auditor and it doesnt have the "KCAL module section". Btw in sotck rom K.Auditor have that option.
For that reason I think its a kernel compatibility issue.
I like this mod, somebody have a way to get it work in CM?
Greetings.

Hey, I try again, installing latests CM 12.1 build for my Z2 and M5 Kernel V10 Permissive.
I flash it from recovery and stuck in Sony logo, led turn on in Red and a few secs later the phone restarts.
What I am doing wrong?
Khronos Kernel for SM-G850F!
Main features.
Latest Linux Kernel: 3.10.100
CPU Clock: A15 (1.8~0.2 Ghz)
A7(1.3~0.2Ghz)
Compile with UBER TC 6.0
Based on SM-G850F OI3 Kernel soruce.
Q:Why you don't add features like OPEN GL Es 3.1?
A:Well.. I'm just owning SM-G850S, which is Korean varient of SM-G850F, so i can't test. And I also want you to enjoy Linux upstream.
Q:Can I use this in Cyanogen or AOSP Based ROM?
A:Nope. This is for sammy rom which android version is above 5.0. In other hand, it works with Lollipop Touchwiz based rom.
How to use?
1. Download
2.Install in TWRP
3. Enjoy
What should I do if there's error with WiFi like it cannot remember password or turn on slowly?

Downclock is actually making CPUs jump to higher freqs more frequently.
Cafactive can't compensate for that. Exynos cpufreq is different and reports load differently. Especially due to IPA CPU calibration coefficients.
In my experience, while I had Galaxy Alpha and built kernel for it, downclock was actually making phone a bit stuttery at times. At same time cpufreq reports high load for goven freq and governor jumps it up. Plus at any time Galaxy Alpha has (mostly) 4 cores working depending on load (either a7 or a15 depending on workload). And jumping freq to all 4 cores in a cluster can be very battery draining.
Upstream can break some Samsung proprietary drivers. In newer chipsets it won't break those drivers.
Try cherry-picking HMP changes from my kernel made by @halaszk88
Power suspend driver, Motorola quickwakeup driver and kernel NEON mode will make wonders to battery life. Plus setting toolchain to compile for a7 (not a15). Those things will prolong normal usage by at least 30%. I had 4.5h SOT at average 50% brightness (on 1860mAh battery). Quite nice
Hope I helped
And I may use those new mali GPU drivers when I find time to build kernel for G900H
