What is your carrier for your sim card?
Is it a working sim taken from another phone that was able to make and receive calls??
I think it's an APN problem..

yes its a working sim card taken from another phone, i said phone's call data is unknown, which is making its baseband unknown

imei check

How is possible to check if the imei is blocked ?
I buy the phone on ebay is a herm200 and when i put the sim pin code (vodafone sim) the device still search for the network until a "!" appear.
I call vodafone they refuse to tell me if my imei was blocked (privacy problems .
I call TIM and they do the samething.
I read some post in the forum, and i understand that with a sim vodafone i suppose to have the problem only wen i try to call and then i have to get some beep (if the imei is blocked).
But in my case i do not get any signal or connection.
So my question is .. there is some way to check if the imei is blocked.
I need to know
if is a hardware problem (antenna or ...)
if is a software problem
if is a imei problem

Unable to Register On network

Hi this is starting to really bug me now Im unable to register on a network I get signal bars but only get emergency calls only tried dfferent sim cards and reverted back to latest official stock to no avail any suggestions please
As per multiple identical posts .
First is your IMEI correct
Are your mobile network settings correct
sim card correct and tested
correct modem and csc.

Check your IMEI number. Sometimes, when we flash custom ROM, the phone looses its IMEI number. If it's true, you must use an EFS backup to restore it.
Second solution : your mobile phone was blacklisted (if it was considered as stollen).
Network
Hi thanks for the reply I have been searching I've checked my imei in status and it matches details under battery compartment i'm still paying for the phone (pay weekly) so no reason it would be blacklisted ok just tried another different sim card on Vodafone official s3 stock rom and it registered hmmm im on talktalk which uses voda I know this sim works but i'll get them to send me a new one thanks for your time guys

[Q] SOLVED Phone stuck on emergency calls only?! (Blocked IMEI)

Yesterday on my way to my cabin my phone stopped connecting to network. I can't call, send messages and can't use mobile data. I tried to which sim card with a friend, but that didn't work. Is my phone damaged or is it just an error on the network?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using WIFI
EDIT: After flashing Xperianze ROM my phone had got the IMEI of a stolen S II in Kenya. Since the phone which had this IMEI was stolen it was blacklisted. So if you find out that your IMEI is changed simply use Kies to flash stock. Then your orginal IMEI is going to be restored!

Help with Samsung Win i8558 IMEI clash!!!

Hello Win'ners
Please I have this Samsung Win i8558 I got from a friend and would like to use my both lines in it (Not actually as a smartphone as I already have a Note 4) Runs on 4.2.2 but here is the problem I have with the device!
If I insert one SIM card in either slots... It reads and gets signal for the Network SIM. (either Sim1 or Sim2)
But if I slot both SIMs in both slots... It would give a "No sim card" error even when it would shows the SIM Network names under "SIM Card Manager" in settings but would not detect signal.
So I put in one SIM in sim1 and checked the IMEI via *#06# and it came up. I put in one SIM in Sim2 and checked the IMEI and found out both slots uses the same IMEI number.
If I mount both SIMs at same time and check the IMEI , it would give "Null/Null"
Any help on how to solve this problem as I have 2 network SIMs I want to use on it.
Thanks.
SOLVED
I solved the issue by flashing a later build via Odin!
Now I need root!
