Battery wont show charge over %91

Any idea what can cause this? Can it be a battery losing capacity? Something wrong with ROM?
I'm using a Darkside rom and i have wiped battery stats.
Ill post this in the ROM thread as well.

Try turning the phone off, pull battery plug to the charger and wait 30 seconds, reincert the battery and turn on again.

I had 86% problem.
This is what I did and it helped:
1. Install BatteryCalibration (free on the Market)
2. Charge the battery up to it's maximum
3. Use Battery Calibration app
4. Discharge til it dies
5. Charge it and enjoy your 100% full battery.
I'm not sure if steps 1-3 are actually necessary. I've also learnt that even that it showed 86% it was full to maximum capacity. BatteryCalibration app showed that 86% was 4200mV which is maximum for this battery, exactly the same I have now with 100%.
Charge your phone overnight to make sure the battery has met its capacity
Pull battery out while charger is still plugged in to your phone.
Wait for missing battery logo.
Put battery back in. the phone will show that is charging around 5% maybe more. Let it stay there for about and hour then put battery back in and boot up.
Should be at 100%

I had this same problem and none of the methods worked.
I just let me phone die. 0% and once it died, i plugged my phone in. It turned on. I turned it off again but the phone automatically turns back on to charge. Let it sit there til 100%
its disturbing how the atrix has this issue with the battery stats.
does any other android phone have this? Atrix is my first
kill it fully, then leave it on charge overnight (with power off).
if it doesnt work, do it again
cheers.

It's not the atrix, it's the rom. (unless you guys are using the stock rom, in which case I could be wrong) I had this problem with another android phone (moto droid original) because I was a noob and flashed a rom with the battery not at 100% and with the usb cable plugged into the phone and my computer. Don't do that BTW. When you flash a rom always have 99 or 100% charge and dont leave it plugged in while flashing.
On another note, when I went to Mexico for a mission trip for some reason my battery wouldn't charge past 90% or so while I was there. It was strange. No problems when I got back to the states. Strange eh?
Hello All!
I have found fix for the battery problem for EU users (I have EU phone probably will work for ATT as Faux kernel is unified and rom is based on ATT...).
After flashing Darkside rom, you have to boot once your ATRIX.
Then go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1156040
Download one of this kernels: [<{ OLYGB_U4_5.9.1 (ATT, INTL Unified) }>]
[ Overclock Kernel, Max @ 1.3 GHz ]
The CWM File ==> Unified GB Kernel Version 023 @ 1.3 GHz <==
md5sum ==> <==
[ Enhanced Stock Kernel, Max @ 1.0 GHz ]
The CWM File ==> Unified GB Kernel Version 023 @ 1.0 GHz <==
md5sum ==> <==
I do not suggest Kernel 1,45 Ghz as with my tests the battery life was significantly shorter and I had some reboots of my phone.
Flash it with recovery.
It is done. Now you will have to plug your phone to the charger and be happy about 100% battery
After installing new kernel power consumption has been reduced dramatically. In my opinion problem with charging up to 100% was caused by enourmous power consumption. My atrix was hot even on idle and now it is not.

s3 battery Discharges so fast,.. help

hello everyone!, i have a serious battery problems:
1. battery charging takes min 8 hrs!!
2. battery Discharges very very fast
i changed battery and charger and it still the same...
BUT notice that when the phone is off - charging takes 1-2 hrs
i dont know what its the problem, can someone help? thanks.
Have the same flash boeffla kernel and increase the charging of your charger and your battery will load very fast
Device: Samsung Galaxy S3
ROM: CyanogenMod 11 (Temasek Unofficial V36 )
Kernel: Boeffla-Kernel-CM11-2.1-Beta9-
1-2 hours is normal for a charge, actually its very decent. Run full charges only. Charge ONLY when battery is less than 20% and charge continuously till 100%. Check you battery usage. If you have bluetooth, wifi, 3g and whatnot on all the time your battery life will be bad and will take longer to charge.
Search the web there are many more specific solutions.
Specify if you are on stock rom and kernel.
Edit: I would NOT increase charging current. It will decrease your battery life in long run.

Tell what firmware you are using and install better battery stats and leave it 4-5 hours on standby..see what is draining your battery post screen shots in BBS threads.. And someone would definitely help you...

hi guys,
i have s3 4.3 stock rom and kernel,
i saw in battery usage that the screen is 90% .....does it normally?!??!?
it seems like the screen is draining my battery, what can i do??
Lower screen brightness If you are gaming then there is hardly any solution for that. As the post before says, install better battery stats so we can help you further. Also sometimes other things draining battery may come under one name such as 'screen'. Its not new.

Upgrade to the latest build and install a custom kernel such as Radon, Agni, Elementalx.
The issue is most probably caused by incorrect cutoff voltages, these kernels have fixed that issue.

download amps app and check current rating feed to your phone, fast charge > 2500 mA, if lower, try change your charger.

After the update mine also shows 3hr's to charge and slowly charging. I brought the phone 10 days back and updated to this 9.6.25 a week and facing this problem.
Have no problem at all with Poco f1 Miui 9.6.25. Charging time is around 1hr 45 to 2 hrs if not mistaken.

Try to charge below 50% from current battery level.my stock charger rating 5V 2.5A..can get around 2.2A reading from app.
Its starts slower then it gets faster , from 10% to 100 % in under 2h , so its working properly.

Don't worry its just a software issue I just flashed the miui 10 beta Rom and now everything is fine it shows the QC logo also
Me too facing the issue. In the screenshot, charging at 18% and showing 920 mAh
Me too facing the same issue and i am on Miui 9.6.25 as well.
I just had a chance to check it, as I recently upgraded to 9.6.25. Well, no changes for me - there is QC icon next to the battery and Ampere shows current reaching 2900 mA.

You guys don't use the search function on the thread and just keep on making new threads about the same issue.
It has been well documented now that the charging slows due to thermal throttling. The hotter the phone the slower the charging. If anyone wants to test this, charge your phone for 5 mins before an air conditioner and measure the charging speed using the app called 'Amps'.
You should see the charging speed at around 2700-2800mah provided your phone temperature is quite low.
Otherwise, take a chilled watter bottle from your fridge and pour it generously on a towel. Now place your phone on that towel and charge you phone. As soon as the temperature starts falling to around 32-34 degree celsius, the charging speed will increase.
This is built in safety feature. The charging slows when the battery temperature is around 36-37 degree celsius as per my observations.
Cool you battery to around 30 degrees using any method you can and then check the charging speed.
Not your charger, not your cable...its mostly the charging algorithm with built in thermal thresholds which is at play here.
DO TELL ME YOUR TEST RESULTS.
I just found this thread - I have similar problem but it's rather not connected with temperature.
After one of software updates I discovered that quick charge is not working. Maybe it wasn't connected with update but this is how I see this.
I was waiting for software updates and hoping that they will fix my problem but nothing was changing.
Recently I decided that maybe factory reset will help, but unfortunately no.
After this reset I was checking many chargers and it appeared that with laptop charger (with USB C output) quick charge works! I was checking parameters in application 'ampere' and there is information that this charger is AC, and rest is USB. So it looks like QC works but....
Please help, how can I make quick charge works again via standard quick charge charger.

Iam in 11.0.5.0 global rom can any body confirm if its a rom issue or my specific issue
I want to clarify that my Poco on fully stock 11.05 charges as fast as any previous version of MIUI.
I take care of my battery. Charge till 80 and never let or go below 20.
If you can maintain the variables, and it still charges slow then you have issues with battery IC or the battery itself.
The highest I got without ceiling fan and without ac is 1590 mA. Maybe I got higher other times but I installed the app just for this post.
Don't rely on software reporting.
Do you have a multimeter?
Ambient temperature plays a HUGE role when it comes to battery, even if it's 1 degree more or less.

Question Battery percentage not correct

Hi, i have the F4 GT 256GB with 12GB of ram.
I am experiencing a starnge thing, my battery shows 100% at random not fully charged volts (4.1, 4.0,3.9) when its suppose to be at 4.45. When it gets down to 20% it drops to 0 in seconds because the voltage goes down to 3.3volts and its really low for a lithium battery.
When i charge all the way to 4.45v when device is off (i see how much current the charger draws) it fixes it until the next incomplete charge. If the next charge is up to 4.3v now 4.3v is the new "100%".
Im on the last version of miui 13, i dont want to update to miui14.
I test the voltage in accbattery, great app btw.
Anyone know how to solve it?
