hell, I'm a new user, I will not link here - I can send the email?
Lists me when you try to flash the device this error:

Have you tried enabling "no final verification"?
Sometimes this works, or try to connect the device either before you start the whole process, or when the window to connect it in flashmode appears

Hmmm...first of all, you are on the wrong Xperia devices thread...you should post your problem in the right thread HERE.....
second of all what you are try to flash is the kernel not the rom....you need to tick kernel.sin and loader.sin only and un-tick final verification...

Hmmm my biggest question to you, what model is your phone? is it Xperia X10 Mini Pro or Xperia Mini Pro?
i really doubt that your phone is Xperia Mini Pro since Xperia Mini Pro never come with android v2.1 (froyo)

Your bootloader may still be locked
I had the same problem and got exactly the same error.
I thought I had unlocked the bootloader, but hadn't. Once I got it unlocked, the problem was solved.
For a easy guide to unlocking the bootloader, see here.
There, they alos tell you how to see if you're phone has an unlocked bootloader or not.
I rooted the phone using Flashtool first. That is done by clicking the big padlock icon.
I hope this helps.

[Q][Mini Pro] FlashMode is unstable.

first, I tried to install new rom NeroDroid_ROM_v5_3 by using xrecovery rather than clockwork. the rom was installed succesfuly but after rebooting, it stucks in sonyEricsson logo.
anyway, I decided to restore the original firmware using latest Flashtool, but the problem was that the green light shutoff which means it disconnects from the flash mode, nd turns on and stucks in SE logo again.
this the video that I've recorded during the process: www(dot)youtube(dot)com/watch?v=anON2ST9_Lg&feature=youtu.be
this my record shows in Flashtool :

i'm having the same problem =/
re
Where r u specialists?, we need your help plz!!!
All what I could say is that either USB or phone seems to be faulty. USB port for me sometimes just disconnects without any reason and then reconnects.
For now... you'll have to try to connect it to other USB port (but as you have laptop, hopefully you have 2nd port, otherwise you'll have to connect USB to PC).
Other way is to send USB port to SE for repair probably. I can't suggest anything else.
From the log of flashtool i see that you tried to flash x10 rom and kernel, maybe you can find kernel/rom file for your device? And what actually mini pro you are using (x10 mini pro or mini pro)?
OMG, FOR GOD'S SAKE, you flashed X10's firmware, pray for this not to be a brick!
Now, follow my guide immediately! (In your video I saw you have X10 Mini Pro, this guide is only for X10 Mini Pro, so you are OK.)

Install windows 7 test edition on dualboot. I know, that's hard cause installing windows overrides grub, but that's better to root your phone.
And better root it with this method.
Afterwards you will have to install grub again, but that's the price...
Or you buy windows 7 (test version has a time limit) and then download easybcd and create a startup entrie for grub of linux...
Well it was a painfull job and a lot of wasted time, but its done.
The credits goes to DooMLoRD's and the guy(s) from Flashtool.
1. I did a mistake and tryed to flash a wrong .ftf file. Dont know why but i was sure that i had to take a rootable kernel from a ST18i Stock Image, but we need to use the kernel from MT11i_4.1.A.0.562_Nordic_1253-1755.ftf package. My fault
2. Because i have currently not the time to find out how i can replace a kernel by command line over the android device bridge (adb) i tryed work with windows xp in a virtualbox. Everything seams to be fine but DooMLoRD's rooting kit didnt work in a virtualbox on my linux workstion. Imho it was something between that stopped DooMLoRD's root kit to work (Hardware or USB issue).
3. With a normal native Windows 7 Installation it worked to root my xperia mini pro.
No clue what was wrong. We need a way to do this from linux too

You can of course try flashing another .ftf for your device using a notebook so the power won't get down and you should flash it successfully. But be sure to select the ftf first and click okay and when the popup appears to connect the phone, connect the phone in flashmode
If that doesn't help try the repair option in one of the other two programs, and if you download/use them on a notebook then there shouldn't be any problem with your power

thanks for your guidance

I found drivers from out side as well but nothing happened.

Bricked Sony live with walkman is alive again
thank you for xda community
thanks mihahn
hi. for those who are in search of updating Sony live with walkman.
its my experience.
first of all my big thanks for the xda community.
here we go.
I was in 2.3.6 gb, then I planned to update my Sony lww.
their is two ways to update your phone one is company's which dont need rooting (as well no boot loader unlocking )
it won't void your warrenty.
all you need is patience, data connection, + ,ABD drivers ( to recognise any android phone to computer).
and most importantly Sony phone update utility softwares.
(download latest softwares from Sony's website - google it )
1) install downloaded Sony update utility software on your computer.
2) here you must tweat your phone before connecting your phone to computer.
a) go to phone's setting > app setting > tick " un known source".
b) at the bottom of settings their is a { } developers option > tick debugging mode.
3) switch off your phone.
4 ) Run Sony software update utility
5) it will ask you to connect your phone
(press volume down button ) while doing so a green light blinks its indicates you are in flash mode means you can flash firmware officially or manually.
6) after connecting phone drivers recognise your phone and software promote you to select the phone model. select yours.
7) and rest of the work will be done by Sony update utility software. all you need is " PATIENCE "
software will download latest firmware and it will automatically install into your phone.
after completion you will guide to disconnect your phone. do as it is.
first boot will take few minutes to settle down in your phone.
now your phone is updated to a new one.
[ if you have rooted your phone dont worry flash it its not a problem ]
[ if you have unlocked boot loader. LOCK IT and then connect your phone ]
[IF YOU HAVE A SOFT BRICKED PHONE LIKE ME,
SONY SOFTWARE UPDATE UTILITY IS AWESOME TO REPAIR IT JUST TRY IT ].
YOU WILL GET A NEW SOUL TO YOUR BROKEN PHONE.
THANK YOU.
easy way to root SONY LIVE WITH WALKMAN 4.0.4 ICS
hi folks after treating my phone to ICS I lost root access. so I had to root it again. since rooting on live with walkman (4.0.4 ) is tough so I searched all guides on xda. I came across many guides but all are very tricky and tough.
some guides require to downgrade firmware.
some require changing kernel.
all these are risky so I searched for easy one.
and finally I got this simple best one click rooting method.
require only 5 minutes.
here is the link.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2219781
and dont forget to thanks the maker of that post.
before rooting check your kernel version and match with the above provide post.
this rooting method works with all 2011 Xperia devices. with respective provided firmwares and kernel version.
thank you.
happy rooting . . . cheers.

For clockworkmod use the xparts app from the playstore, it'll install cwm if your phone is rooted
For link to SD search a tutorial please, as I don't know much about it, but I remember there are some good tutorials on how to use it
And yes there are some roms for locked bootloader, check development section for some of them :good:

now friends manuall way for un bricking. + locked boot loader sony live with walkman
hi guys in my previous post I told you about official way of un bricking using sony update utility now its non official way ( manually)
before I start I would like to inform you that, most of the problems arises for any upgradation is in initial stages.
like absence of ABD drivers for sony lww .
some times though you have installed the drivers your phone won't recognise by the computer.
so install sony companion it will install drivers along with your abd drivers.
keep your downloaded drivers file on desktop when computer prompt you to install drivers their will be two options
( |) it will automatically search and install drivers. if it shows no drivers press back button and their will be another option
(||) SELECT FROM SPECIFIC LOCATION.
SELECT it and browse the file LOCATION on the desktop now try to install.
after connection the phone to comp wait few min it will recognise for sure.
Now the tools you require to manually flash firmware are
¤ your dead phone
¤ latest flash tool ( search for flashtool for sony Ericsson)
[flashtool also have drivers give it a try to. LOCATION ( C/FLASHTOOL/DRIVERS) ]
¤ and your firmware (tft) file.
¤ firmware file must be same as your phone's firmware when it got bricked. I mean version must be same.
¤ prepare your phone by ticking unknown source, mtp mode, and usb debug mode.
¤ now place your *tft file in C/FLASHTOOL/FIRMWARE. (make sure it must be empty else it will confuse new users) -
¤ now open installed flash tool connect your phone by holding volume down button.
¤ when your phone get detected by flashtool click flash
¤ it will ask you to flash in flash mode or in fastboot mode, click flash mode.
¤ hold your breath till firmware get installed.
¤ it will re boot
here you go. your phone is alive.
thank you
a bit experience
my phone was bricked when I tried to upgrade it. FROM
gingerbread .62 to ics 4.0.4-
so it happened by my mistake, I removed cable connected to phone in the middle of flashing *tft file.
so make sure cables must be tightly connected at both the ends.
don't repeat what I did.
¤ ¤ ¤ ¤ ¤ ¤ ¤ ¤ ¤ ¤
# when I failed in many attempts using flashtool, I used sony software update utility.
# sony update utility is all in one solution to update your phone with latest firmware. and its the best tool to repair your phone at any point of break down.
# when I tried to update my phone using sony update utility
my phone get detected it informed me about latest available firmware to install ( in my bricked phone means in my dead phone ) it was wow. . .
like a ray of hope.
§ I eagerly clicked to update.
§ sony update utility started to download firmware.
§ wow . . .
§ after few min prepared it self to install in my phone.
§ wow . . . wow . .
§ with in seconds installation failed . . .
§ guess why . . .?
¤ ¤ because my phone was in .62 gingerbread.
¤ ¤ ¤ in FLASHTOOL I flashed latest ICS FIRMWARE
¤¤ Which was installed partially in my phone.
¤¤¤ and sony update utility tried to instal the same firmware which I was flashed so got aborted.
§ solution.
I used flashtool again
installed old .62 firmware ( which also got installed partially)
then again connected to sony update utility now it installed ICS successfully.
hope it will help you peoples. . .
click thanks if it helped you
thanks for those who helped me:-
now I am posting this using my live with walkman.
cheers . . .
Can someone please help me!

Did you read what it says at the beginning of the Flashtool download page?
It clearly says: C4 and C5 users please do not flash using Flashtool. It will brick the device. M5 users please do use FSC when flashing or it will brick your device.
You can only use Flashtool version 0.9.18.x on the C5 Ultra, to avoid a hardbrick
At the same time you mention that the LED changes from red to green, then your mobile has not yet died.
Now, just uninstall the Version of Flashtool you have completely, search for and install the 0.9.18.x, and follow the normal flashing process.
EDIT: Remember to close Xperia Companion completely, to avoid interference with the flashing process
