Hi guys. I'm having an issue with my network service.
When I rooted my phone, I had service perfectly fine. I flashed carbon rom onto my GT-19205, the network wasn't working except for WIFI. I've looked around here for a solved but to no avail. I was wondering if anyone to help me? I have the new carbon rom that was added 5 days ago. If that helps.
Try switching to cdma/lte.

How exactly do I do that on the carbon rom?

Settings, mobile network settings, preferred then tick 3g. If you're on sprint keep lte off unless you've figured a way to call out on it. If that fails, look for an app called "phone info" and switch it by opening the app, phone information then by default its set to wcdma change it to CDMA auto. Worked for me. Good luck.

Hey guys! great work on Cm10!
I was just wondering though,im on wind, and i flashed the new rom, and everything was fine at first. However after about an hour, it wouldnt work, i wouldn't be able to load any pages or use internet on any apps at all.
Is anyone else experiencing this?

I did, i checked the APN. I went into the dialer and dialed *#*#4636#*#* and changed to WCDMA only, i have yet to see if that makes a difference.
I'm on wind and have no issues at all.

Yeah, it seems to be working fine now. Guess it was just temporary. Thanks for the help though .

I, for the life of me, can't get LTE to work!
I have the newest nightly (20130519), wiped, flashed, changed phone settings (*#*#4636#*#*), changed APN settings, but when I select anything that isn't WCDMA preferred, it always reselects WCDMA preferred within a half second. (I click LTE/CDMA and it reverts to WCDMA automatically.
Anyone else having this issue?

Are you positive lte worked before flashing cm? I had this problem bone stock and the issue was LTE wasn't enabled on my account/sim
I"m currently in Korea. And since it's global version which is unlocked, i put in the Korean sim card. But it's not working.
It does not catch the signal. I know if i want to use the data, i have to put the APN. But it doesn't even let me use the calls or message.
Head into Settings > More settings > Mobile Networks and make sure that Network Mode is set to Global or GSM/UMTS. If its on LTE/CDMA it won't pick up any signal.

Also did you add the APNs needed for Korea? My understanding was to even get calls you had to add the APNs.

I was running in custom Roms, but I updated my phone and by odin, i put it back in to stock rom.

I got my Verizon S4 off of Swappa from a guy who was nice enough to set it up for PagePlus for me. I recently updated to 4.3 and my 3g stopped working. How can I fix this issue? I’d like to learn how to fix this myself so I can do it again when I upgrade to 4.4. Thanks!

Not sure how that works with Page plus, but do you have the correct network mode selected in settings? CDMA/LTE/EVDO

Ive spent days trying to solve this so I figured I would post something here and hope for a little assistance. After flashing a rom I noticed I had no mobile network connection when I tried to make phone calls or send texts but my lte connects and works and I cannot figure out how to restore my connection. I flashed back to my stock backup and rebuilt my nv data twice and I flashed my stock mdk tar and still have the same issue data works but calls and texts tell me "no signal found for mobile networks". If someone could give me some help it would definitely be pretty cool.

This happened to me once. It happened by flashing an AOSP rom that set CDMA subscription to NV by default. The only fix would be to flash a AOSP rom and then check network settings. Make sure RUIM/ SIM is selected in CDMA subsription and not NV. These network settings cant be changed on TW builds. Plus make sure CDMA/LTE/EVDO is selected. Hopefully this is what happened and solves your problem.
Edit: also make sure roaming is set to automatic.

Thank you so much that fixed everything, I've been using a RAZR for the past week while I tried to fix this and that was painful to say the least lol
