HI, EVERYONE
I tried cwmr from other vimicro vc88x variants like flypad6, hipad m8, hcl u1 and cwm online builder but it does not work with
my tab. It fails in mounting file system.
i am requisting cwm recovery for my tab.
I have included all information in zip file including
my stock recovery.

plz compile for my device when you have time or plz tell me how can i modify recovery.
thankx in advance.
really appriciate your valuable time.
i tried every possible modification in ramdisk but the result is same..
I think modifying sbin/recovery file in ramdisk will fix this problem. but when i open this file with notepad++ it shows garbage information.
Actually i made custome rom for this device and planning to post over net. if cwmr works for this device than everybody can easily flash this one.
again thank u for showing interest in my post.

Dear engineer_dhaval,
I have recently bought one of these at an ultralow price of Rs3299 (~US$ 56). It is a usable tablet but can be improved by removing
the many memory hungry applications it loads by default and doesn't allow killing them. As a result memory almost full most of the
time and it frequently crashes/freezes if many apps are used at the same time.
Total RAM 281MB Free RAM 60 MB Tablet Build no is 20120717
1) I see that you have posted a custom ROM for this tab but as a new user I am not allowed to post in that section of the forum.
Please inform if you have changed RAM allocation or freed up RAM in that ROM. I just want to get rid of skype, orkut, talk, gmail etc
which I don't use regularly.
2) Where do you get source codes to build a custom ROM and what is the procedure to build a custom ROM.
3) I have managed to root it with unlockroot. This tool does the job but a newer version of SuperSU has to be installed before everything
works correctly. SuperSU has to uninstalled by settings>apps>SuperSU>uninstall.
4) Penta has a new ROM version 20120918 for this tablet. Have they changed it for the better or worse. Is it worth downloading.
5) Have you managed to install some recovery to it so that tools like ROM Manager (Clockworkmod) can be used.
Thanks
VK Singh
ok.. for this tab u must flash my custom rom (recomanded)...
I used many tweak to improve ram utilization..
yes facebook, orkut, skyup, youtube works fine with my rom.
and if u want to revert back to stock rom u can easily do..
stock rom link also provided in my thread.
as now cwm recovery is not possible for this tab..
u must use titenium backup (included in custom rom) for backup & restore..

Hello engineer_dhaval,
1) Is there any way to take complete backup image of this tablet i.e. exact image of the internal 4gb memory chip which
will include all the system partitions & files. Someone has posted in the forum that new_201212xxAngryBirdsSpace driver
available on the Penta tech website uses a different method of firmware update by using MPTool.exe software. This tool
might be able to copy/restore the contents of internal 4GB memory. Please post the tool here if you have it as it is part of a
huge package (~475MB) and this driver is anyway incompatible with my older version tab.
2) I have tried ROM Toolbox, Titanium, Helium, ROM manager, TRUbackup, Online Nandroid etc and all fail to make a complete
"Nandroid" backup image as there is no compatible Recovery available. Some method of accessing the hardware while it is in
"debug mode" might do the trick.
3) Many users over the web have complained that this tab runs hot and has a very short battery life. Greenify app works surprising
good for saving power on this tablet. It allows hibernating most of the background apps.
4) In the version of ROM that you have posted, what is the amount of free RAM and Total RAM available on the tablet.
Best regards,
VK Singh
Hello I´m Antonio from Portugal .
I have this phone , lenovo A820s ( think this is a clone of a A820 ) , I´m very , very newbie ...
I´m trying to root this phone... but always fail !
the "project " is to backup the original software and after install a new Rom more "clean" , without the tons of apps that I don´t use ... and free some space because it has 1G of ram ... but is always at 92% full ( this confuses me also ) .....
The current problem is I can´t root the phone in the first place , but from the cpu-z report there is one thing that confuses me ...

Hello folks. I have an intriguing brazilian tablet POSITIVO YPY_ABD10 and was wondering if it is possible to put some custom rom or custom recorevery or any other rom compatible on it and then try to change the rom because it comes in it is terrible.
I try to followed these tutorials here on forum:
//slatedroid.com/topic/40623-aml-flash-tool-aka-imageburntool/
//slatedroid.com/topic/41478-how-to-unbrick-your-amlogic-aml8726-mx-series-tablet-v20/
//slatedroid.com/topic/95977-howto-create-a-rescue-sd-card-for-pretty-much-every-amlogic-8726-mx-device/
and I try too some roms but so far no effective success... I think only worsened the situation somewhat for before he was "soft bricked" and now is "hard bricked" before I could get into recovery mode that came with him by pressing the "power + vol+" and now the sign of life he gives is when I press "power + vol-" and computer recognizes as "M3 CHIP", then I try burn some rom with the flash tool but still no success yet ...

in platform-tools, shift + right click on empty space, select "Open PowerShell window here" (or cmd or terminal - depends on what type of window u have), if in powershell, write cmd before doing anything else.
Now follow these steps:
Connect the tablet to pc via cable
go to tablet settings
scroll down and click on System
go to Tablet info
scroll down and click "Build number" until the message "you are now a developer" appears
go back to System
click on Developer options
scroll down a bit until you see USB Debug
enable it
(If you want to unlock bootloader also enable OEM Unlocking)
now on your computer where the command prompt (or powershell or terminal) window is open, type
Code:
adb devices
, this will output a list of devices
(meanwhile on your tablet should appear a message that says something like "accept debug from this device?" click on "always accept from this device" them click on "yes" or "allow")
now your device should be recognised by your pc
Type in the console
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
, this will reboot the tablet into fastboot mode
wait for the tablet to enter into fastboot mode, you can confirm this if the screen is all black and if in the bottom left there's written
Code:
FASTBOOT mode...
.
All done!
if you want to unlock the bootloader, just type in
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
. !WARNING! THIS WILL ERASE EVERYTHING ON THE TABLET, BE SURE TO MAKE A COMPLETE BACKUP OF YOUR IMPORTANT DATA!
If you want to exit fastboot mode, just type in
Code:
fastboot reboot
, or simply press and hold the power button for like 7 or more seconds to do a forced restart
DISCLAIMER: I am not responsible for any damage, warranty loss, etc., if you brick your phone then it's not my problem

Confuse over a tablet firmware Model : Penta Bsnl WS1001Q.
My problem is i don't know which firmware is needed for a tablet. I don't know if the tablet is a real penta WS1001q or not. Because when I
disassembled the phone and i found that the motherboard has a different references ""KSD1011MB_V1.0"".
Cpu-Z display show different picture, Full_gs702a
So my question is can i use the Firmware of "Penta bsnl WS1001q" which avaible on the First result of google or use the KSD1011MB_V1.0 reference which was engraved on the motherboard? . Or use the full_gs702a version which CPUz gave me.
For the KSD1011MB_V1.0 , i can't get the exact firmware for it. Google do not have it. like it does not exist.
Here some information i know:
