You just need to flash this: http://www.4shared.com/file/lS99vrFmba/recoverytar.html with Odin! And then copy it to your external SD. Then boot into the newly installed recovery, wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache, under advanced wipe dalvik cache and install the ZIP! Done.
Emmm ok, the thing is that that I have issues with my phone it's stuck on boot screen as described in another thread:

Hi
I have a Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo GT-S5310...
The sad thing is that, a while ago it stopped working and now it's stuck on the boot screen (Samsung GALAXY POCKET Neo GT-S5310)
I have tried to perform a factory reset through the built-in recovery mode (volume up + home + power), but unfortunately, I couldn't access the recovery mode and the phone goes directly to the boot screen.
And since the only thing I could do was accessing the Download Mode, so I tried to recover it by installing an official firmware with Odin3_v3.07... but it didn't solve the problem...
So what would you guys suggest?

I think that I need to flash the bootloader first, but I wasn't able to locate any firmware that have a bootloader for S5310 in it...
Wow that's great, gonna try it tonight! Btw which apps are force closing for example?
Thank you. How cute to see CM11 on s5310 little screen. First boot take about 3-4 minutes to complete. Apply disable multisim setprop command after first boot complete and reboot to make it single sim.
FC on package installer if I want to install 2 apk at once. just need to run the second apk again. No big deal.
Hi everybody!!!
I have a question: will camcorder fix?cause i need it to make video on my pocket neo..
Using it for a couple of hours now and apart from the known bugs, everything feels very smooth, developer seems to have made an amazing job with the rom! Thanks a lot
After 24 hours of usage and configuration (mid to heavy) got a very good battery life: more than 3 hours of screen on, without charging, some gaming, facebook and Wi-Fi always on
---------- Post added at 04:36 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:28 AM ----------
Btw, YouTube is the only app force closing till now
I needed the Video Camera, can we not edit the lib or etc folder files to change the camera application ?
when you fix the bug of the camera and audio very important for me
then the rom and beautiful battery fluid also ok
great work continues so great dev:good::good::good:
Question: is the offline charging not working or it works fine, just the battery animation does not work?
Edit: Calculator FC. Perhaps might due to ART?

Hi
Can someone tell, confirm and / or test which Bluetooth this version has. Would be nice if it is Bluetooth 4.0 le (low energy also called bluetooth smart) because of wanting to use a bluetooth heart rate monitors on it. Bought this phone especially because it is small and light to use it for my workouts.
Thanks

Decided not to be chicken and installed CM11 on my 5310. Worked fine. Found and ran an app called "CheckForBLE.apk" and got the message "Sorry, Bluetooth LE is not supported on this device" Bummer !!! As a comfort i have KitKat on my device.
Hi everyone,
few days ago i've started reading about porting ROMs to different devices because i have free time and i'm interested in such stuff. I've successfully ported a CM12 based ROM (resurrection remix, lollipop 5.1.1.) to my MT6582 UMI C1. But the problem that i'm facing is that the GPS isn't functional. It works fine if i use WIFI assisted GPS (battery saving or high accuracy option) but when i use the device's GPS (device only option) it just won't get a fix. I've used GPS test app to check what's happening, and all 'i see' is 9-13 satellites but none is actually being locked onto. Also CM12 doesn't have com.mediatek.lbs.em (location based services) or YGPS.apk. I've tried 4-5 custom ROMs and none of them had those apps. Kitkat did have those and i was able to check the SNR of the GPS reception per satellite.
In previous ROM (kitkat 4.4.2) GPS worked very good, especially when i've installed modified gps.conf into /system/etc
I was able to get a lock within seconds.
SO...
I've ported zImage (a.k.a. kernel?) from stock boot.img to port boot.img, compiled it and done few other file replacements in port ROM to make my ROM working.
I am not a programmer or a coder. All I do is read/copy/paste/ and enjoy what I've done. I don't sell the stuff I do. It's all just for me. But I can (and know how to) use notepad++ to replace lines in ROM's files so if you know a solution please share it with me :fingers-crossed:
So far all stock ROMs for my phone (UMI C1) are missing all files in /system/lib/modules and i've read that i should replace mtk_stp_gps.ko from PORT with one that is located in STOCK. So there has to be another fix, my phone worked fine without it.
Thanks in advance and i hope we'll find a solution.
Got the same problem porting MIUI 7 / 8 to mtk 6582. Have you found a solution?
Hello there..!!
I just got a XT1521, as a secondary device. Its currently on stock Android 6.0 with baseband M8916_2020629.41.03.21.51R SURNIA_EMEA_DSDS_CUST
I want to make it just like the Pixel. I do know where to get the required files, and don't need any help regarding that.
All I wanna know is :-
1. What's the procedure to unlock bootloader on this device? Unlocked successfully
2. Which recovery should I use? I used Squid2's TWRP v3.0.2-r1
3. Which ROM can be used as a daily driver? (need 7.0+ to get Google Assistant working). My preferences are good battery life (if not extreme) but the performance should be smooth without any lags, unlike the stock M. Also, wifi, OTG support and other features should be working properly.
Flash Seraph08's CM14.1, its totally smooth with wifi, otg and everything working. Also, I've managed to install Google Assistant successfully
4. What's this adoptable storage thing that people are having problem with..?
Didn't faced this problem myself. Maybe because Im not using ext sd card.
5. Should I flash a custom kernel too? If yes, which one and why?
Didn't found any need to do so, stock CM kernel works just fine for me.
Thanks to you for reading through all of this and please be kind enough to answer. :silly:

5.nope you don't need any kernel, cz the stock one performs excellent.

First of all, thanks bro for the reply.
Have you tried the CypherOS 3.1.3?? That seems good too but is having wifi problem, though in the latest version only.
Everything works fine in the CM14.1 you suggested, right? Even the wifi / tethering, VoLTE and OTG..?
VOLTE is still not available in any ROMs as far as i know, and for everything else works also i had tried cypheros 3.1.3 but i had some issue with that lyk the music would play on loudspeaker even if my headphones were connected(it also showed in the status bar , the headset icon after i connected my headphones) so yes i found cm14.1 better than cypheros in terms of performance

Thanks mate..!! I appreciate your reply. BTW, stock Marshmallow does support VoLTE, but since its my secondary device, I can live without that.
Yeah stock mm firmware supports VOLTE but then my phone would lag a lot on stock, so it's really difficult to stay on stock and that on jio half the calls wouldn't be placed due to interconnectivity issues, so i used stock for hardly 2-3 days.
Hello people, after all this time i got something good to say. I made a build prop with a fully working hotspot when you dont have the cust/att files enabled or cust/att/prop enabled. @credits to madvane 20 for testing the build prop.
Build prop mod features:
100% working hotspot:laugh:
Multiuser ui
4 signal bar indicator instead of 5
Instructions to make hotspot work:
Turn off cust/att/us/prop folder. Example: cust/att/us/_prop
Turn off system/hw_oem/TexasA1/prop. Example: system/hw_oem/TexasA1/_prop
Advice: you will not see 4g lte on the signal indicator, dont worry for that, it is 4g lte. Apart from that. DONT MODIFY What it is already changed on the build prop or else hotspot may stop working(soft reboots when connecting a device or hotspot may still work but at 2G speeds, ya know what i mean XD and phone will work at 3G instead of 4G lte.
Download:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9nO4rb4qWR2bGtWU19wbjhCQVE/view?usp=drivesdk
Known issues:
All issues are fixed. When using this build prop if you somehow get dual sim issue try a factory reset. But the issue is completely fixed.
Tested on swift and fast slim rom V2 from @madvane20.
It should work on all Custom emui based roms. Give it a try. Any issues please let me know.
Note: only B160 both stock and custom emui roms work. If there is a lot of people that are in older versions then i will make the b150 and older build props for you. Check that the build.prop permissions are correct or the phone will not boot. Devs can use my build.prop to do the same on their roms but give credits since it took me over 5 hours to make this work and 2 extra hours to address the issues.
Hi,
I tried some custom roms on my MEIZU M6 note (snapdragon 625) and I reallly liked the "ViperOS" rom but its LTE 4G network runs very slowly (1 Mbps).
I already tried all the Sim cards settings but nothing works, i think it's because this rom was built from a chinese rom.
is it possible to extract the modem files (Radio interface layer RIL) from another custom rom that gets full-speed 4G (Crdroid rom by ups2k) :
MOD EDIT: Links removed as violative of XDA's Rule 11.
is it possible to extract the "RIL" (baseband configuration) from a custom rom that have full speed LTE network and put it onto another chinese custom rom to speed up the data connexion?
Both roms are Android 7.1.2
Someone who knows ?
