I play a lot on this phone so I would love over 3 hours of play time if possible.
Thanks.

If you have the root try use a battery caliber from play store...
if not full discharge the battery 1% ok too
turn off the phone and full charge for 3 hours
this will increase the battery life

This was after battery calibration, I have done the fully drain and charge a few times before trying to fix this issue but still happening. Don't know if the power spike drops are because a wrongly calibrated battery or a bad battery, this happens on any rom btw, currently running Slimbean 2.2

That seems pretty bad...I would suggest that you may need a new battery. However, my phone is older than yours and is still doing well so idk.
This is my battery life after fresh install of slimkat 2.3 with jbx kernel 2.1.5 have you tried to use a charging app such as DU battery saver? link here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dianxinos.dxbs

Problem doesn't seem to be the battery life, is the spike drops that bother me, if those didn't existed battery would last 1/3 more.
Already tried DU before, spikes still happen and battery saving are minimal since this apps help when the phone is no in use.

I have tried this trick and it works on my SG Ace:
1. Open your phone and charge it for 7-8 hours.
2. Shut off your phone, wait for at least 2 minutes and charge it again for 1 hour.
3. Turn on your phone and wait for at least 2 minutes and charge it for 1hour.
You will notice an improvement on the life and capacity of your battery.
Hope this will help.

Before i using The Ace Kernel Beta 3, but the carger of battery no work's like i want, and i reflash BlackHawk Kernel by Ketut. (Thks Ketut).
In pic, at 01:28 i reflash BlackHawk Kernel, before i'm using The Ace Kernel Beta 3.
does it really improve the battery?
"Perform shallow discharges. Instead of discharging to 0% all the time, lithium-ion batteries do best when you discharge them for a little bit, then charge them for a little bit. The table at the right, from Battery University, shows that discharges to 50% are better for your battery's long-term life than, say, small discharges to 90% or large discharges to 0% (since the 50% discharges provide the best number of cycles-to-usage ratio)."

So, I'm using the newest stable release of CM9 with Siyah kernel and my battery life is terrible. Not even using the phone for an hour, eight hours of standby, and it's already down to 30%. Any solutions?

Most battery drain issues are user related, check your apps with Better Battery Stats and install cpu spy for sleep time of the cpu. Might be some rogue stampeding apps/widgets on your phone
As you can see on attachments, my battery stats are equal... my awake time is very high, and i have better battery stats installed, it says my cpu time are 90% into 200mhz mode, but as you can see 15% with 13h of usage... but doesn't show any application draining my battery...
Anyone know how to trace this correctly?
Battery probs
Hi mate! Its mi first post i hope they will be no errors!.

1-Install ---> Battery Calibrator ( root need ) from googleplaystore.
2-Charge it to 100% REBOOT YOUR PHONE (program dont say a thing about this
3- Press button , all your battery stats will be correct now
4- If u continue having this probs you have to Re-boot your ROM and do all this steps with 3 wipes

Remove bloatware or freeze them

You are using siyah?
Make your cpu 1200-200 or 1000-200
Overvoltage 50
And you will see the difference.

Hello guys,
I flash twice my Xperia U to ICS and I done it well. At frist one, i made without reset factory and the second one with reset factory.
In both cases I got the same problem.
The ICS is draining battery life hard, even in stand by. No mater what, It consumes about 25% for each 4h. Using hard or using nothing.
I instaled GSam Battery Manager and it says its Kernel and Android OS.

Android version 2.3.7. It lasted 41h and still have 19%.
Please, someone can help? I tried everything i know. No matter if data or wifi is turned on or off, it will consume lot of battery. I tested.
It seens impossible to reach 24h in this situation.
Same here
New ICS su.....
I'd uninstall the task killer and battery defender to begin with, they will drain your battery like crazy.

Try using titanium backup
Freeze all the applications and services which you are not using..
If u do a thorough search in the forumyou wil find the list of services which are safe to freeze
Set maximum cpu usage to 200mhz when screen is off..

I'm not using my U yet, got a sim in it, but still using my old phone for now. I'm running ICS and am getting 12-15 hours battery with less than 10 minutes use. The rest of the time it's in standby, there's a pretty bad battery bug, I've not figured out what causes it. On GB I was getting 15hours medium use (~3 hours) and would still have 40% battery left. Battery info is showing it as awake the whole time it's on standby.
My phone`s original battery lasts for one day in normal use. I bought a 2680mAh battery in eBay and now I can use my phone all day long without any problem.
Just wanted to share a funny screenshot I have taken a while ago while using a JB/ICS rom (Can't really remember which), the screenshot is of the battery status in settings showing some seriously odd info (BTW, I haven't charged the mobile at all during this):

Nah, didn't switch battery nor charged it, I simply unlocked my phone to find it at 0% and shutting down, when it turned off I tried holding the power button again (because I was sure it was charged) and then it turned on with 1% and then kept increasing till it reached the flat level and then proceeded to decrease again!

The battery works perfectly normal now, and during that day it continued to work normally after it reached the flat level (it decreased as usual after this). I know, it's crazy!
mine did that too. till 13% to 94%. I removed the battery and put it back in.
I guess sometimes the battery sensor goes cuckoo haha.

Hello,
i recently upgraded my Nexus 9 to Android 6.0 (Marshmallow MRA58K) with the factory image. So the tablet was completly wiped. The system is completly stock, no root.
After that i'm experiencing very poor battery life (see attached screenshot). Basically, i unplugged the tablet this morning (at 100% battery) and it was lying around in the living room all the day, doing nothing and this evening the battery was down to 63%. Battery optimization is turned on.

Any suggestions?

If there are only 3 things each using 1 % of the battery life then its sounds like the battery reader isn't properly calibrated. Let it run till it shuts off then plug it in and let it charge back up. If if that solves it. I am rooted but have no real changes that would effect power and I get 3-4 days on my 6.0 install.
As above post. If anything, I am getting better battery life with Marshmallow.

I'm getting better battery as well.....it does take a while for it to calibrate itself after the update.
Here is a screen cap of my battery life:

Okay, after "calibrating" it seems to be better.
But, what i noticed, there seems to be a massive battery drain when connected to a 5 GHz WLAN. Anybody seeing the same thing?

My battery life has been severely degraded as well after installing the OTA update to Marshmallow. I have not tried calibrating the battery and will try that after my battery drains to 0 and the device turns off.
Its better to charge your device before it runs out...
Factory Reset over Recovery
I had the same symptoms like running out of battery in one day doing nothing.
Problem was solved after a factory reset in recovery (Power+Down)
"Battery Calibration" did not work at all
