In theory, yes (but being a Sony, something will stop you). Go ahead and do it, though. It'll work.

Does the rom will lost imei?

Try GPe first. Go from basic to advanced
If you want super customisation from the get go, AOKP is the best. (Excluding PACman, of course).

And tomorrow we will have a stock drop as well - stock 4.4.2 anyone?
Thanks for yet more choice in the rom we run

hi, I came from GPe rom, did the following ritual:
1. in recovery I just wipe chace and dalvic and then flas aokp rom and gapps
2. phone attempt to boot but it looks like it will take forever so I force shutdown, back to recovery, wipe data/factory reset, wipe chace and dalvic, re-flashed ROM and gapps
3. phone boot fast, installing TB to restore my backup datas
- un-writable sd card persist, so I did this FIX (it works with GPe version ROM) and then reboot the phone..
- booting took a long time with glitched bootanimation, had to force shutdown and then press the power again, phone boot fast but the SD card write problem still persist.
- also can tell that during TB opening there is a pop up telling the device is not properly rooted and sugested to use Supersu, I ignored it and I uninstalled a few system apps, but after reboot the uninstalled system apps back again.
basically I do like this ROM, I never use AOKP before, but atm I am back to GPe rom..
Thanks!

Actually, previous Z1 and ZU updates have always been released in the middle of the month (14-16th), so you're actually not that far off And 4.4 is scheduled for a January/February release, so we'll either get it about now or next month

hmm I might try again when my device is charged
edit: the rom didnt like the standard gapps pack, flashed the one from the lungo addon page and works now
edit2: not the most stable rom, lots of FC's on various apps. Had to download alternatives like older or newer versions of apps. I might run the rom a few days to evaluate how I like it. But not as stable as the regular CM nighlies
edit3: well.. the power consumption is about the same as on any other rom
edit4: ....auto rotate does not work in this rom.

I guess we'll get the official CM11 before the FXP version and the other custom CM11 builds. It must be a first ever on XDA since the CM team are usually pretty slow

Omni is a project by a couple of "ex-cyanogenmodists"(?) and others that evacuated the CM boat when CM got funded and became a company. There are official Omni builds for a couple of devices, but all we have right now is Krabappels build.

Chameleon OS (or ChaOS for short) is a custom Android ROM that gives the user more control than they can experience on any other Android ROM. Starting with a CyanogenMOD base, we customize each piece to give ultimate control while maintaining the simplicity we all love about Android. The most notable feature of ChaOS is the theme engine, which can apply different pieces of themes in a true mix-and-match style. The launcher has been completely overhauled with tons of options that you'd normally need to download a third-party launcher for, such as home screen previews, folder sorting, and folder icon styles. The Messaging app has also had some UI retouches, including messaging bubbles and quick emoji button.
The entire framework of ChaOS has been modified around the theme engine, allowing for custom fonts, boot animations (with animated preview), and themes. No longer do you have to try to find the perfect theme, with Chameleon OS you can patch it together with your favorite pieces from different themes. Messaging, Phone, Status Bar, icons, everything can be set completely individually from each other which provides the capabilities to completely re-imagine your phone. Creating themes for the ChaOS Theme Engine is superbly simple and has extreme versatility.
Even with all of the features we've currently implemented, ChaOS will continue to mature with even more refined settings and features. We will be completely open source and will welcome developers to join us, whether it be by maintaining a device or utilizing our gerrit review. Even if you're not a developer, your voice will not go unheard. We will continually poll our users for the most wanted features and do our best to implement them.

Welcome.
Thank you all for the warm welcome! Personally I don't have a ZU myself but a Z1. But since the hardware differences are so small, I dared to build this.. You'll have to thank @pedal2themedal too, because he messaged me to support this device. Even though normally I don't do this without owning the device, I saw so less roms for such a great device and thought it was a shame.
This doesn't mean I release untested stuff though. If anything major changes, I will always have it tested on a real device before releasing it.
Thanks again.

Well I have, but thats because I wanted to try Sony's 4.3... All I can suggest is try it and see what happens, if you end up with no data/radio then you will have to upgrade. But I think the general concensus is that its better to go to Sony 4.3 first
Nice!

Thank you!
Is there still no way to just flash a zip in recovery for the Sony 4.3?
I think I already forgot how to do it the FTF way, or what else is involved...
If we go to Sony 4.3 and then to this rom, is there no way to easily go back to a restore that's CM10.2? (Because the baseband will be at a higher version?)

Thanks, I was running krab's carbon for ages, then omni befor I built my own Sony stock 4.3.
Now I have the dilemma of do I go back to 4.4 and carbon or do I stick with my own build of 4.3
^^ yep.. same decision to be made here. (which is :good: )
Thx @[vertigo]
Btw.. (Noob Q): If planning to enable ART, do we need to flash the ART specific gapps at the rom flash stage, or only after enabling ART? (or not at all, just normal gapps) cheers

This is AOKP for Huawei Nexus 6P based on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1!
Read: The unicorn eats marshmallows and farts rainbows
Reading that gave me goosebumps - my favourite ROM returning from the grave to support the latest Android version. So I went on and built myself AOKP. I am no developer, just your fellow XDA member, who knows how to compile a ROM and a bit about its structure.
What works:
RIL
WiFi
ROM Control
.
.
.
I am testing further, was so eager that didn't even test it.
What doesn't work?
You tell me :victory:

I hope you already know what to do. But if you still need help, read below.

If there are bugs and you notice them, provide me a logcat (It will contribute to further development), and make sure that you are using the kernel delivered by this ROM itself.

Du is ok. Lots of freezing and hanging on newest build
Newest DU is rocksolid here. But I guess I'm one of the very few that actually wipes everything when installing or testing new Roms[emoji14]

I did a very clean flash, and it ran good for me but it was a little while ago. I could see why they would want to keep a ROM off of XDA while it might still be buggy, because the amount of people complaining about it would be a PITA, no matter what they state in the OP...
Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
@DJBhardwaj well I'm going to say thanks for the rom and not talk about du what had nothing to do with this thread

Is that a DRI sticker on top of a Grateful Dead sticker in your avatar? Not sure I'd want what you're smoking!
Tap'd it
Has anyone here tried flashing the official nightly? Everything went smoothly in TWRP, but it's been sitting on the Google boot logo for some time now (about 5 -8 minutes). Not sure if this is a sign that it's not functional yet, doesn't have its own boot animation in the current state, or something else.

I used open gapps and it didn't boot for me either. MMB29Q

I personally got it to boot in 2-3 minutes using OpenGApps. However on the first boot, after optimizing apps, it did take a few seconds showing "Loading contact storage".

Select Platform as ARM64, Android version as 6.0, and download any variant as per your requirement. I prefer Mini or Micro packages since others are bloated.

About Us;
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean. In the early days it was just a one man show on one device, the EVO 3D. Since then, many others have joined the project and it has grown exponentially.
We have seen a lot of talent contribute to this project of ours. Big or small, the focus was always on contributing to the community. That is ultimately why we do what we do. After Jelly Bean, we decided to move to a new base, OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting base because it challenged us to see what we could do with a project that had different goals in mind. We learned a lot and again, gain contributors. With Lollipop, we moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. We grew even more and learned a whole lot more.
It has been an awesome learning experience and is still not over! We are still learning every day and continue to move forward. Lastly, we DO NOT accept, nor ask, for donations. We don't believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going is out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc. We will never ask for a dime. All we do ask, is that you have patience, search, read and try to enjoy the process with us!!
**YOU NEED TO HAVE UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER TO FLASH THIS ROM!!**[/COLOR]
Flashing Instructions:
- Download the latest build
- Download Gapps
- Take a nandroid backup
- Recommended - Full wipe and factory reset
- Flash ROM using latest TWRP 3.0.x Recovery
- Flash Gapps
- Reboot.
- Enjoy!

Some strange things.
It wants to format my ext SD.(think its a dirty unicorn issue becuse been reading on other devices and they have this problem. Cm13 already fix exfat issue. )
Dont format read on other forums people having probelm anyways after letting phone format ext sd.
And can't boot to recovery. (my solution flash twrp.img with flashtool and then in twrp flash rom.zip again if you want to boot back)

Use flashtool and install twrp.img file with it.
Try flash modem from aicp rom forum. Some dude named keddy364636 shared the link for the 6802 modem se if it works
Here is link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=66842681
1. Flash twrp.img with flashtool so you boot to twrp.
I use http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3358583
2. Flash rom.zip and gapps.zip and modem.zip and reboot
Lets hope you can make calls now :-/

Flash recovery with flashtool. When you boot to recovery flash zip rom.zip and then the zips you want. Thats what I did

Wow good power consumption.
Listen to music(poweramp), did some phone calls, Facebook, messenger, converted youtube to acc/mp3, Tapatalk alot, use Bluetooth headset(Sony sbh52), took some pictures and now still alot of juice of power left when I at home again.
this rom is super nice. Just fix ext sd and get a good kernel with recovery and its stable rom. No reboots
