About Us;
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean. In the early days it was just a one man show on one device, the EVO 3D. Since then, many others have joined the project and it has grown exponentially.
We have seen a lot of talent contribute to this project of ours. Big or small, the focus was always on contributing to the community. That is ultimately why we do what we do. After Jelly Bean, we decided to move to a new base, OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting base because it challenged us to see what we could do with a project that had different goals in mind. We learned a lot and again, gain contributors. With Lollipop, we moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. We grew even more and learned a whole lot more.
It has been an awesome learning experience and is still not over! We are still learning every day and continue to move forward. Lastly, we DO NOT accept, nor ask, for donations. We don't believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going is out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc. We will never ask for a dime. All we do ask, is that you have patience, search, read and try to enjoy the process with us!!

Some strange things.
It wants to format my ext SD.(think its a dirty unicorn issue becuse been reading on other devices and they have this problem. Cm13 already fix exfat issue. )
Dont format read on other forums people having probelm anyways after letting phone format ext sd.
And can't boot to recovery. (my solution flash twrp.img with flashtool and then in twrp flash rom.zip again if you want to boot back)

Try flash modem from aicp rom forum. Some dude named keddy364636 shared the link for the 6802 modem se if it works
Here is link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=66842681
1. Flash twrp.img with flashtool so you boot to twrp.
I use http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3358583
2. Flash rom.zip and gapps.zip and modem.zip and reboot
Lets hope you can make calls now :-/

Wow good power consumption.
Listen to music(poweramp), did some phone calls, Facebook, messenger, converted youtube to acc/mp3, Tapatalk alot, use Bluetooth headset(Sony sbh52), took some pictures and now still alot of juice of power left when I at home again.
this rom is super nice. Just fix ext sd and get a good kernel with recovery and its stable rom. No reboots

And tomorrow we will have a stock drop as well - stock 4.4.2 anyone?
Thanks for yet more choice in the rom we run
hi, I came from GPe rom, did the following ritual:
1. in recovery I just wipe chace and dalvic and then flas aokp rom and gapps
2. phone attempt to boot but it looks like it will take forever so I force shutdown, back to recovery, wipe data/factory reset, wipe chace and dalvic, re-flashed ROM and gapps
3. phone boot fast, installing TB to restore my backup datas
- un-writable sd card persist, so I did this FIX (it works with GPe version ROM) and then reboot the phone..
- booting took a long time with glitched bootanimation, had to force shutdown and then press the power again, phone boot fast but the SD card write problem still persist.
- also can tell that during TB opening there is a pop up telling the device is not properly rooted and sugested to use Supersu, I ignored it and I uninstalled a few system apps, but after reboot the uninstalled system apps back again.
basically I do like this ROM, I never use AOKP before, but atm I am back to GPe rom..
Thanks!

Actually, previous Z1 and ZU updates have always been released in the middle of the month (14-16th), so you're actually not that far off And 4.4 is scheduled for a January/February release, so we'll either get it about now or next month

What's Broken:
You tell...
ROMS
ROMS should contain everything you need to enjoy KK.
You are not required to install any Add Ons, simply download the latest ROM, gapps, flash it, and go!
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.
How to flash:
Don't do it if you don't know it!
CWM or TWRP Recovery is highly recommended
ROM has GAPPS, custom dpi & xposed persistance in between dirty flashes
Feel free to use AICP full 4.4.2 GAPPS package from HERE or thread's Download page...

Yes Wifi hotspot is working, very nice!
I didn't find bugs so far. Just noticed some slow touch feedback in some cases, but acceptable.
Where is the option to add more tiles to the Quick Settings panel? (eg. to switch from sound to vibrate or mute)

IT IS POSSIBLE TO HAVE EVERYTHING
About Us:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first created based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean because of curiosity. In the early days it was just a one man show on one device (EVO 3D). Since then many others have joined the project and it has grown a whole lot. We have seen a lot of talent contribute to this project of ours and many of our contributors have gone to help other projects and that is ultimately why we do what we do.
Once Jelly Bean was over, we decided in Kitkat to move to a new base which was OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting because it challenged us to see what we could with something different.
With Lollipop, we have moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. That said it has been an awesome learning experience and is still not over! We are still learning every day and continue to move forward.
Few more things we will say is that we don't accept nor ask for donations. We don't believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going is out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc.....
We will never ask for a dime. All we do ask is that you search, read and try to enjoy the process with us!!

Haha. This is turning out to be hilarious!!!!!!!!
Yesterday my sp randomly started to give out and got me in a bootloop. I checked xda for any new ROMs, so I came back to M2. Now this comes out. Brah.

@TheAvengingTITAN Man, really appreciate your work. While the developers are tirelessly churning out ROM after ROM, you are tirelessly testing them and giving all of us a clear idea about the ROM's performance and battery life. Thank you.
Also, looks like #TeamRevolution has finally got me convinced to unlock my BootLoader. Time for my phone to lose its virginity and get dirty in Lollipop awesomeness.
I just EXPECT SP users don't start complaining if the Devs delay their updates or something. Nobody could believe 2 months ago we would have Android 5.1.1 99% working (blame autobrightness for that 1%). Even to thinking in having more than 2 Lollipop based ROMs was crazy. Now the SP community is very excited about it. And everyone is praising the Devs whom brought this. I EXPECT (not hope this time @Furrydaus xD) that users be mature about it, and instead of complaining in the future... Be very thankful about all this. Sorry for the long post. Keep up the good work. I'll try this ROM as soon as I come back from work. .
P.D: I'd hope to see Carbon ROM if the decide some day to update their source code. That would (at leaste for me) complete the ROM menu . Thanks again.
Someone said that this ROM was faster than M2 and M2P...
This Myth Buster is on his way

It's nice to see enthusiasm despite the warnings lol
About the Dual recovery: I don't expect it to work anywhere. I avoid it like the plague. As for the M5 kernel, I honestly have no clue. This commit is the only one that could be at fault since it's the only difference between the two ramdisks. I'll look into that when I fix the sound bug.
Thanks alot! Love it already!
New build (today, 29/6). I've been trying to get sound to work for several hours. Nothing I did before worked. Ran make clean, now it magically works, what the heck.
I need somebody who actually uses their phone to call people to check if in-call sound works (and if it doesn't, if possible also submit a logcat).
Ill flash it in a minute, will get back to you as I use my phone to call
What do you mean it makes phone calls? I thought it was just for flashing Roms on and using Netflix.

Okay fellow PA enthusiasts, you can now use your phone regardless of whether it's for Netflix, phone calls or various scientific research purposes. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Reading your "summary" it is evident that you have not unlocked your bootloader, which is clearly defined in the first post as a requirement to run this software. If you have, apologies for being assumptious, but that is all I can gather from your post.
Which GAPPS would you advice to use? I want more then just the play store one I used before haha
I just got my Z3c yesterday.
So glad to see this, the dpi scaling is absolutely horrid and inconsistent haha.

I googled "android 5.1 gapps" and just downloaded the first one. I think it's the one from the CM site though I'm not sure.
Just pick whichever one you'd like, as long as it's a 5.1 package.

Oh I meant stock rom is inconsistent. I haven't unlocked the boot yet.
Trying to read through all the drm stuff at the moment.
Omg finally Paranoid for Z3c, i've been waiting for a good reason to unlock the bootloader, definitely this is it!!:laugh:

What version of ROM and gapps did you install (ROM version should be 7/1, gapps should be a 5.1 build, like the one here)? Did you wipe data, system, cache and dalvik-cache? (Alternatively, if all of the above is as it should be, and only then, try getting a logcat.)
The device is not officially supported by AOSPA-L (hence the tag "UNOFFICIAL"), that's why the OTA app does not recognize the device.
Thanks for getting this working on our Z3C's. Any experience on camera quality difference between this and a stock ROM with DRM keys?

About Us:
Flashing Instructions:
- Verify that you're using the latest version of TWRP
- Perform a FULL WIPE as described below if coming from another ROM or a different version of Android
(A full wipe is when you wipe system/data/cache)
- Flash the latest version of this ROM
- Flash recommended GAPPS
- Reboot and ENJOY!!

Graphic problem
Im running this rom how to improve graphic performance andha mini militia hangs in lan connection pls help
Without any explanation the sound became extremely low even at maximum volume. I tried to change the amount of volume steps, but nothing seems to work. It happened before on AOKP and only a new clean install solved. I don't know how to log this.
How is the ROM's download size around 380MB? What does it drop to achieve that?

Well! You finally made the du thread.. great!
Great rom. Everything works well except the gps. The problem is when I Play Ingress or use Maps the indicator of the gps is moving slow. Is like the gps always stay behind me if I'm on move.
I tried to change the configuration with gps faster but didn't work.
