Copy all yr files and use SD formatter and full format yr card. Also check if the adapter u use is not locked. There is a slider onvthe side. Cheers

Which format did you use?
That happened to me with "ext4" (rom did't support it)
My opinion, safest to use is fat32

Try exfat if u still ve problem maybe u can try and gently press the sd n see if it is detected ,last resort try the nintendo blow. BTW did u try any other sd? If u cannot mount other cards then it is problem with phone as S3 is known for screwing up sdcards. Cheers.

funny, mine is the opposite, it is detected in CM7.1 but not in recovery. I have no idea what to do next.
partitioned?
im assuming your memory card is partitioned for a2sd.
1. fat32
2. ext4
ive experienced this problem when i forgot to set both partitions as primary when i did the reformat. if it is just logical partition, one would not be detected.

i used mini partition tool and created two partitions, both are primary and fat32.
But when i restart my phone the phone,

Nope. Usb mode doesn't allow for full unmounting. So formatting in usb mode will leave your memory card partially corrupted. Use card reader/cwm.

If you can see the files on the phone copy them to the internal SD card and then format it.

Remove EXT partition from SD-EXT

Hi all, I've accidentally partitioned the sd-card through recovery and I don't need any ext partition (from romracers recovery there wasn't any undo option). I've tried formatting it through windows or gparted. Windows recognise only the fat partition so that one is the only one it formats; gparted sees both but if I try to remove the ext and format everything as fat32, the phone reject the sdcard not mounting it and giving an error. Any solution please? I'd like to have the original storage space! Thank you all!
Delete all partitions with gparted, then partition/format in the phone.

Thanks! What do you mean with "format in the phone"? Through recovery or from settings?

Either one should work.
If one doesn't, try the other.

Format again in recovery. Then choose 0 as ext position size. It will be deleted.

I think my microsd is half-broken but I managed how to use it until it leaves me forever. I surely have bad sectors because a llf encountered errors. I used a HP format tool to do a quick format and of course the phone told me the sd was damaged so i formatted and got the entire space...hope not to lose future data...any suggestion for pictures instant upload?
