Just bought me a Note 3 (have a note 2 N7100) and allready bought me a tough case from casemate, but what about screen protection?
Use one or not? I mean its gorilla glass 3 (gorilla glass 2 on the note 2, gorilla glass 1 on the first note?)
If i deside to buy one, which easy to put on screen protection would you recommend me? (hate dirt and fingerprints under a screen protection)
I would prefer if it didn't cost more then 20€ with shipping to denmark (if they don't have it in denmark)

The glass feels so great to the finger, I can understand why you wouldn't want a plastic screen protector taking that feeling away. I agree, if on principal, you refuse to pay more than a determined amount for a screen protector; however I do have to say that the glass screen protectors available for the Note 3 are well worth that investment. There are now a variety available at different price points increasing your options. You won't have any remorse in buying one of these products as you get the protection and the great feeling of glass.

I used something from copter on my note 2 (swedish manufactory) beacuse i don't wanna get scratches on my phone, especially when it's new.
I also want it to almost to feel as new when i sell it so i can get a good price (1-2 years)
I want something like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aI9WlhhuPvg
payed for the last 2-3 screen protection (samsung galaxy) not more then 20€ so that price is something i would go for, also think it's a reasonable price
I might go with the spigen as in my youtube link, but what should i buy?

Good price, 12 £ with shipping to denmark http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/cart/view.html/ref=lh_cart_vc_btn
1st I'll say anyone that doesn't put a screen protector on is moron in my book. $700 phone why wouldn't you? But, I can't stand film protectors. I will only use a tempered glass screen protector. I use only MIME Ghost Glass. It has a 9h rating o on the hardness scale which means it's harder to scratch then your screen. And it feels smoother and less drag them the actual screen does.
pay $7 for a glass protector. do it. do it now.
I second Eric (without calling anyone a moron) but I've been the type to not start using a device without installing a case and screen protector. Yeah the new glass ones are great..way better than the plastic ones. I still have the Vibrant that I got when it came out. It been thru me, my wife, son, and now my 9y.o. daughter. It does not have a single minuscular scratch on the screen.

Has anyone used those cheap screen protectors on ebay? Those that are like 1$. I was gonna buy a clear-coat but I thought that there must be some that are as good or even better for a cheaper price. Of course, I dont mean those 1$ ones but maybe $5, etc. So has anyone tried any protectors that were good from ebay? For me, smoothness is more important then clearness (stock protector clearness is good enough). Thanks
I always liked the cheap ebay protectors over expensive Zagg InvisibleShield. I usually buy set of 3 for 1.99 or 2.99.

LOL DONT! its **** if u live in canada (cold season in winter then hot in summer.. duh) the screen protector's first layer kinda like peels off from the screen protector itself and it looks gay... + not scratch resistent or uv resistent so its ***
I bought mine on a local mall for 8$US .. its got scratch resitent, UV resistent, auto heal ****...
I live in Canada, and for the last 5 phones ive been buying ebay protectors, cheap and not bad quality.. make sure the sellers feedback is good tho
i bought cheap screen protectors off of 2 different sellers on ebay and they are cheap for a reason! they arnt cut properly and are larger then the screen. they cover the ear peace and physical buttons just a tad. so whenever you put your phone in your pocket the sides catch on your jeans and peels off the screen selector.
It really depends. While I didn't buy any from ebay, I received 10 or so screen protectors from the seller of my X10. They look like the $1 from ebays and while the fitment is great, I see a very bad rainbow effect across the entire screen. I've never seen this on the more quality expensive ones.

This is my experience as well.
I prefer the cheap ones. I brought them for my old phones and they fit reasonably well. They are pretty good quality for the price.
Well, i have bought cheap pnes from ebay and from amazon, never had any problems at all, they have always fitted perfectly, not discolored or distorted either.
I also have some stealthguard (the ones they handing out for free - usually ~£20) shields, which is what im using at the moment.
The stealthguards "stick" better so they dont peel at the corners or anything, and they are a lot more scratch resistant so you dont have to replace them as often, but i would never pay full price for them, they simply are not worth it.
Ultimately i would recommend ordering a couple of "free" ones from stealthguard, but failing that you cant really go wrong with ebay
I have tried cheap ones for my X1 more than a year ago. Can't recommend them. They were hard to get onto the screen because they were so thin and weren't scratch resistant. Pulled them off after a few weeks each.
For my X10 I have bought protectors for 10 euros each. They are great. Scratch resistant, easy to get them onto the screen, and each lasts at least a year, until you have to pull it off, wash it and put it back on again (yes this works really).

I bought the XtremeGUARD one from eBay for less than three dollars (USD) with free shipping. (Sometimes the seller will have a sale and offer it for one dollar with free shipping.) It's one of those wet application ones where you have to use soapy water.
Aside from having to put it on with water, application can be tricky since your fingertips need to be covered in soapy water too or else fingerprints will get onto it. A lot of air bubbles will also get in there, but those are pretty easy to get rid of.
The only thing I don't like about XtremeGUARD is that it has this kind of 'orange peel' look once everything is dried and you look at the screen when it's completely dark. It's not that noticable, though, and I accept it.
The quality and protection is right up there with the expensive protectors (I do know people with the ZAGG ones), and I thought it was a good buy.
i bought 3 for a $1. the description said anti-glare but when it arrived it was basically just a regular clear protector. So in order for it to be anti-glare it has to be matte?
Hello, does anyone know if it's possible to replace the Gorilla Glass 2 on the 920 with Gorilla Glass 1 or 3? The glass on my Zune HD was amazing - after using it for years I couldn't get any scratches on it, but on both my 900 and 920 I got scratches within the first few weeks of using it. I've purchased a screen protector on Amazon, but wondering if there's any way to purchase a replacement touch screen for the 920 made of another type of glass? Installing it's not a problem, but are there any retailers who sell Gorilla Glass 1/3 screens for it, or do you have to be an OEM to get Gorilla Glass?

You can't do that because obviously nobody has produced one so far, and most likely never will...also, your problem is probably related to the fact that the Zune HD didn't have oleophobic coating, while instead modern phones with GG tend to have it. Probably the scratches you noticed aren't even on the glass itself but on the coating. When you manage to scratch the real glass you can tell it by the fact that you're able too actually feel the scratch with your fingernail. Don't get me wrong tho, GG can still be scratched, no matter what, it's just tougher in general, so it's all up to your luck if you decide to go naked. If you wanna be 100% safe a screen protector is the only option, while instead if you wanna keep the natural look and feel of the glass while still having some sort of scratch protection the best option IMHO is picking one of those flip cases, at least the screen won't slide against the stuff you may happen to have in your pockets. You can either pick the one from Nokia, the CP600, or some of the cases from Nillkin which are cheaper and very decent too. I've ordered one myself, but shipping from Asia takes ages. I'll definitely post a review as soon as I get it.

Thanks for the information, I hadn't considered that it might be because of the coating. I got a screen protector for it so I'm happy Thanks!
I hate the drag feeling of many plastic screen protectors so I have had a naked screen on all my phones until now! This is my first glass screen protector and so far it has been excellent.
It was very easy to apply. I was impressed with how it seemed almost to "adhere itself" when you place it upon the screen. Almost free of any air bubbles, creases, etc.
Cleaned the screen with the supplied wipes, dropped the protector on, and pushed the imperfections out with my fingers and it came out great.
It comes with badly translated instructions but you are given more than enough tools to get the job done right.
Sorry I don't have any pictures of it on the phone, I can add some, if anyone wants that.
I think it's well worth the price!
Here is where it can be bought on Amazon:

very easy to remove and leaves no residue of any type or damage.
Can you post a photo of note with the protector?
After having this for about 3 months now, I can easily say this is absolutely the best bang for your buck. My brother went with the cheaper 8 dollar eBay one and its kicking himself for not getting this instead. Installation is easy and allows room for error (can be removed and re-applied), smooth to the touch (necessary for swipe texting) and is still smooth 3 months later.

It is a good purchase pricewise. But after 3 months of use, tiny scratches are appearing on the protector. I wouldn't be mumling about it, but most of the time I use the pouch case when I cary the phone in the pocket. So scratches were a surprise for me. Therefore the claimed 9H of the glass is a bit doubtful.
I almost sprung for this myself until I saw a friend of mine who got this Nillkin on his phone and the leftmost bottom edge would not stick perfectly. You could fit a fingernail underneath it. Seems like the luck of the draw.
I had mine installed at a kiosk just to make sure that if any problem materialized, they could replace it themselves immediately. I forgot the brand, but the fit was perfect.

Bought a Nillkin Tempered GLass for my Note 3. Guess what.....after a month, the screen cracked by itself! I'm very sure it was not caused by wrong handling nor impact. All this 9H hype by Nillkin is just bull!

And why is your brother kicking himself? I have the cheapo ebay one and I have zero complaints. My first protector was a $20-something (shipped) Glass-M which simply broke in my pocket because I leaned somewhere too hard (xperia z1). I am very happy with my $7 ebay deal for my new note 3.
I'm not trying to start an argument, I'm just curious.
Also, sorry for slight off topic.

Just an expression lol, but mainly because it is much less smooth and the non rounded corners bug him. I'm sure there are better ones in eBay, but it's luck of the draw. Images weren't correct in his case.

Hello,
i just received my Nillkin 3D CP+ Max tempered glass two hours ago,
and guess what? it was damaged 10 minutes later because of my casology vault 1 case!
i wonder what should i do to protect my phone's screen from drops?
any ideas about Anything compatible with that case i should use to protect my phone?
seems like all glass protectors are the same with the cases , also other soft protector isn't designed to protect the phone against drops
what should i do?
Honestly i'm giving up!
I break 3 tempered glass screen protectors with small 0.5m drops. Reason is different from yours. Due to our edge screen, temper glass will get cracked easily.
For your case, u should look for " case friendly " screen protectors. Find those which does not cover the edges or/and full screen. Can be tempered glass, PET or healing verison.
I tried without screen protector. The conclusion is very nice screen but gorilla glass 5 is NOT scratch proof. I got some minor scratches.
In Singapore, we have plenty in physical shops, and online shops like q10sg and lazada etc. selling mobile phone accessories. So i have no links to share with you. Just search for some " case friendly " screen protectors.
Ps:
I wasted about sgd100 on screen protectors. Hahah
I gave up on tempered glass. I use spigen neo flex wet apply for now. Going for lifeproof fre when it comes out.
I basically gave up on TGSP's on these types of devices as well. Display is holding up pretty well w/ my rough handling, haven't seen any scratches yet but I'm sure it'll have some sometime down the line. Lol
Ive spent over $100 on screen protectors for the S8 (whitestone dome was $45) and not a single one has worked. The amount of money Ive paid would have paid for 9 months of Samsung Premium care and with the free month Id get 10 months of insurance which is longer than Ill have this phone. Yes Id still have to pay a $99 deductible but Id have a perfect phone in 24 hours if I break it vs no insurance and a box of useless screen protectors.
Ive been able to return all but one protector so Ive decided to focus my money on insurance and peace of mind knowing that when it breaks Ill have a new one.
Skip the screen protectors and get insurance. The headache is just not worth it. If the scratches get to the point of bothering you, start carrying the phone naked. Eventually you're going to need to file a claim.

I've just got one of those plastic screen protectors from Invisible Shield that doesn't go all the way to the edge. It does the job. Either way, with or without a protector, your phone is still vulnerable to drops.

Oh yeah, I should've mentioned -- I've got a Spigen Neo Hybrid and it slips on/off without any issues and works with the protector.
I've had the same exact issue. I've bought the Spigen Ultra Hybrid case (perfect case by the way, I love it, had the same on my Nexus 6, showcases the back of the phone while protecting it just as well as the well-known neo hybrid case). I knew that the tempered glass screen protectors won't work with it well and I didn't want to waste my money on them. I looked for something different. I ended up buying the official screen protector for under $10 (you get 2 for the price) (this one, only for S8 instead of S8+: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8/accessories/official-samsung-s8-screen-protector-t3600373 , model number is Samsung ET-FG950CT).
I thought it might fit with the case. But when I came home, after a while I realized that this isn't gonna work. So I was deciding what to do, return the protector? But then I'd have to find another one, which might be long and expensive journey. I didn't want that.
So I grabbed my scissors and started to cut the protector carefully. There was not much I could lose. I cutted it to the point where it doesn't interfere with the case, but covers pretty much the whole display. It isn't the most elegant solution, but it works and I am satisfied with it. And I still got one screen protector to repeat the process in case this one ever gets damaged

The tempered glass that works for me is the Ankoon tempered glass screen protector. The screen protector just covers up to about where the edge begins to curve. In that way when you put a case on it, it doesn't rub up against it were it bends the tempered glass protector.
I have the GS8 with the Spigen Neo Hybrid case and I do not have any problems with the tempered glass screen protector lifting against the case. If you do get this tempered glass screen protector, I would advise you to get the 2-pack of this screen protector since its not that much more than the single pack and you have a spare screen protector handy to replace the current screen protector if it starts to break down.

i opened the link at amazon and i saw A LOT of angry people reviewing the Protector
Same, I would only trust full adhesive ones and not ones with adhesives on the sides only.
I guess I got lucky on mine. Have the S8 Plus and have had no problems at all with my screen protector. I read up on them beforehand and read plenty of reviews and just decided to not even attempt a glass screen protector.
I ordered two kinds on Amazon. The IQ Shield liquid skin, and the Spigen Neo-flex. I put the IQ Shield on, took maybe 10 minutes, and haven't had a single issue after about a month now, all the edges are still stuck down. It's very clear and seems durable. It reminds me of a Zagg invisible shield but not nearly as "rubbery" feel. It feels like a cross between a Zagg invisible shield and a glass one. I'm still on the first one so haven't had a chance to compare it to the Spigen and I also have a spare IQ Shield.
I also ordered the Caseology coastline series slim transparent cover. Works great with the above screen protector. Like they were made for each other and it protects great. It's taken quite a few drops and at least twice has flown out of my cycling top flying down the road at 23 mph. Barely a scratch!!

Yes because they are bunch of noobs that do not know how to apply this tempered glass screen protector. Anyways it seems like with these curved screens almost all of the tempered glass screen protectors just have adhesives on the side and you stick it on.
I was like you fed up and almost just gave in to do the wet screen protectors but just the mere thought of having to spray the beautiful phone with the solution and squeegee out the excess AND not to mention that you have to wait like half a day for the thing to dry out before using it made me at least consider trying 1 more tempered glass screen protector which this one talked about having less real estate it covers to provide enough cushion to apply a case and sure it enough it worked for me. I ordered the 2 pack version which is through the link below. For some reason Amazon separated the product reviews so this one has more positive reviews but you are never going to satisfy everyone.
I guess I could post a pic to show what my phone looks like with the screen protector on and the case.

There is no need to use screen protector in today's phones. I stopped in late 2015 and none of my phones got any scratches on screen (and I put them in my bag with my keys all the time). The gorilla glass 4/5 are super strong and scratch resistant.
I bought a couple from AliExpress dint work as well as needed the screen fully works but bringing the notification panel down was an issue but give the Whitestone dome protector i have a friend who uses it and says its brilliant though its pretty expensive but rather 50 bucks than getting a new screen my Opinion
Just got these in 2 days ago and it works great! They actually have the screen protector just the right width do that the case does not peel up the glass, also my old Spigen case doesn't peel it up either, just throwing that out there if you dont like the cases.

Whitestone dome is expensive for me.. but it was worth it?
I want good screen protector please.. glass is not good for this phone? maybe I need clear protector or matte? silicone?
UV light is a good option or the liquid water scratch the screen?

I'm using the Whitestone. It is expensive but if you do it right it will be the only one you need for the life of the phone. I have one on my s9+ and on my note 8. If you but an 800€/$/£ phone there is no reason to cheap out on a screen protector and case.
this whitestone is good? but I read of users that have bubbles after a few days of use..
why so expensive? durable for drops?
how is the warranty?
Bought a few protectors from aliexpress for about 1.5€ each. Finally managed to apply the third one correctly and its absolutely great. Will definitely not protect against drops and shattering but they do their jobs against scratches.

thank you, i bought two
You can use any other tempered glass with UV glue, just as whitestone and avoid buying the expensive one, just use loca glue and a cheap (but good) tempered glass, google "DIY tempered dome glass for S9".
I ordered the Whitestone and installed it.. amazing screen protector I ever used..
I use the IQ Shield LiQuidSkin. It is relatively thin.
I use Crocfol screen protectors since ages. They're a foil so they go around the edges of S8 and S9 perfectly. Work as good as a tempered glass protector. Spigen has a similar product.
They're long lasting, self-reparing, don't take anything away from screen sensitivity. A bit pricey, around 25€ for a set with 2x front 1x protector plus something they call "liquid glass" which you can apply directly on the screen to eradicate micro scratches and seal your screen again, but absolutely worth it. I applied the first set immediately after my S9 arrived half a year ago and still have it on without it coming off around the edges or getting dull from scratches.
I had an accident and dropped my S8 full speed on concrete out of hand height, all it got was a tiny crack on the backside (2mm maybe). So if you don't like glass protectors this might be a very good choice for you.
I ordered the Spigen Neoflex
skinomi this is my go to screen protector. works with any case and when u scratch it it comes back to the original shape, more like gel on top though you don't notice it. It has life time warranty, easy to apply and the price is decent. all those aliexpress , ebay screens dont make sens any more. i mean you spend a 500 600 on a phone and you wont spend 10- 20 for something decent at least.
I used this and it works just like WhiteStone at a lower cost. Liked it so much I purchased two just in case.

Hi I ordered this screen protector and it seems nice ( https://www.ebay.com/itm/For-Samsun...var=442089289527&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649 )
Search term : "s9 tempered case friendly full glue"
It's very glossy, not fingerprint resistance but it sticks very well to the glass, bubble free (except the red circled areas ), and absolute no problem with touch responsiveness (I enabled touch sensitivity).
Now it's been about a week installed so drop, scratch and water resistance testings are not done yet
Works good easy to install no Fuss. www.belkin.com/us/p/P-F7M061/
I am really impressed with this $16 TGSP from Amazon, US.

It is a full glue and was an easy install and feels better than the Whitestone Dome Glass screen protector that are on my and the wife's Note 9s. It does not show grease from fingers, like the Whitestone, either.
I wish they made it for the Note 9.
