I dloaded gl tools from that thread alright. I am not sure how to properly use it actually. It installs fine and all. Just wanted to know if someone has used it and got better performance

I managed to play bia2(but the textures did'nt work.I played Dungeon hunter & GTracing(lags a bit) so our phone can actualy do it=D

yes over-clocking must bring some performance..but you need to wait for our rom(me n my team are making one) hopefully we should be able to over clock it

But the cache link of HOS is not working on that ukrainian website.
I just installed it but when i start the app i get a piece of the actual menu of the game (caused by the low resolution of our G3) and the music
hero of sparta works
HOS works but not a good game in my opinion coz the hero does everything by himself
I recently downloaded some gameloft games which when I wanted to install them,it restarted my optimus one. For ex Order & Chaos etc
So I flashed it with CM7. Still don't the same thing.
Can this be fixed somehow by editing the build.prop file or doing any other modifications?

Our phone does not yet support these games because of the CPU (arm v6) so do not expect to run most recent games yet. Maybe after some months or decades o1 will support them lol.

Not true. Well officially it doesn't support those,but there is a russian Optimus One blog where the russians have modified a bunch of gameloft games to work on Optimus one. Here are a few examples which are fixed:
Asphalt 5
NOVA
Eternal Legacy
Modern Combat Sandstorm
Assassins Creed
HAWX
Gangster
Hero Of Sparta
and one of my fav games too: Guerilla Bob
I suppose there is some code in the installer apk file which isn't compatible with the system,that's why we get restarting,but those russians can fix this so there is some way around this.

You can try chainfire 3d app.
It isn't problem with the graphics. The games would run on Optimus One with reduced graphics with Chainfire.
The problem is that I can't even install the games.
When I try to install,it reboots my phone...
I know there is a way to fix this because those russian developers have already fixed some of those games so it IS possible.
Does any1 have the same prob?

Already fixed this restarting issue. Flashed the latest CM7 and now there is no more restarting,I can install whatever I want.

ok.. here are the reasons why your phone reboots while installing those games.. .
the GAME you DOWNLOADED was not an ARMV6 compatible games.. .
but.. but.. but .. .
there's a lot of GAMELOFT GAMES now that was MODIFIED to RUN on ARMV6 Devices.. . and played a lot of em' like .. .
NOVA • GUERILLA BOB • ASPHALT 5 • i also have STUPID ZOMBIES • DEAD SPACE • ETERNAL LEGACY • BOTHERS IN ARMS • and other GAMES which is not really made for ARMV6 DEVICES.. .
here's a tip.. .
trynna look for an ARMV6 installer/apk.. .Google it.. just type "Order & Chaos for ARMV6"

JasataPein is right, the apk u dwnlded isnt compatible. just try dwnlding another APK..

I'm playing modern combat sandstorm on my g3 for a while. And it runs very smooth. But the buttons (viritual joystick, shooting button,.......) are white. It's a very annoying to me. Chainfire 3d doesn't work for the buttons.
Any idea's how to fix this?

Chain fire3d only works for processors higher than 1GHz ...
So fir sg3 it works only on overclocked custom kernels like fugumod 1366 mhz, g3mod v2.2.2 OC etc..
Further u have to find game & its data modified for our sg3...(Google it)!!!!!

You don't have to overclock your phone to use chainfire. It work on my g3 to at 800Mhz. The game only runs smoother when you overclock you phone.
How to get MCS working:
1. install chainfire 3D (for instructions to install, go to another tread)
2. Open chainfire
3. Go to default OpenGL settings.
4. Check the box "Reduce texture size".
5. Make sure you have selected the "QUALCOMM" driver.
6. Open Modern Combat Sandstorm
7. Have Fun!!!!!!!!
(Make sure you have the QVGA version of the game installed. The normal game doesn't work. Even not with chainfire 3D.)
I don't know if this guide works for other devices than the samsung galaxy apollo. But on the galaxy apollo it does work perfectly (only the buttons are white).
I don't know if I can post links to download the QVGA version, but if you PM me, I can give you the link.

search for "Samsung i5800 ua" . And grab the first search result. There u can find all the games for our g3

Chainfire can´t reduce the texture size of this bottons, I think that the modders of this game couldn`t solve it by self. Perhaps it´s a problem with OpenGl, GPU, Samsung Libs and so else. tomq3 needs help.

since our ace has some problems and issues with our broadcom videocore gpu, we can't play most 3d games on our phone...
you can play those games by installing chainfire 3d on your phone...!!

i have rooted phone and using mindcr 2.9 rom...
o already have chainfire 3d pro plus the lug ins ... my problem is i download the game but wont install ive downloaded a couple just to get a no install... it looks like its installing buen the after it finishes i get no install....
i have all 3 plug ind and i know how to use them .. narcoguerra its not a 3d game as far as i know is like a strategy game it shows the map in 2d i think i havent seen the video....
i just downloadeed a game called horse race simulator and same thing other game is weaphons 1.1 ... same wont install.
