anyone know why?
i flash jb rom from @DevSwift1,after first boot i check internal storage only used about 200mb.
after second boot i check again. and it used 1.2g.
i have not installed third party app. why that rom used so much internal memories?
i try both full and lite.
and both same case.
is that normal?

Do a Fresh install of the Full Version of the V6 rom by DevSwift and after you boot for the first time, reboot and enter into recovery, and flash this https://mega.co.nz/#!UEwlTTKK!PmY4Fkkb0Sj0DA2Pl4RoVwISRwIWMHcvy-lnauE-z6s
i suppose you can Also try it with the Lite version, but im not sure

When changing to new ROMs, some require a 'full wipe'. What I'm wondering is when you do a full wipe in CWM, does it also wipe the external SD card? I'm never really sure if it will or not so I always take it out prior just to be safe. If I don't need to do that though that would be good
No unless you select wipe external sd card if the option is on CWM .

What is your Rom you used after you did the full wipe?
It requires time for the media scanner to scan all of your files on your external SD. It took me one time about 5 - 10 minutes until I saw my files on the file manager.

Hi
Let me be mo clear:
I used Super Wipe Full to erase everything because I was facing some problems on it.
I used a lot of rooms before.
Now I can just access CWM and when I try to install the room, it says: "no files found". I think is isnt reading the external sd.

Hi, I was wondering if I can flash a custom ROM into my Galaxy S2 but without SD card
it's already rooted but the problem is that in every tutorial I read here I find that I must copy the zip file of the custom ROM to the SD Card
So if there's anyway to flash this custom ROM without the SD card it would be great
Thanks.
Any tutorial you're following is probably using sdcard to mean internal storage. There's no requirement for a physical, external micro sd card.
So if I followed the tutorial and copied the zip file to the internal storage will it be okay or what ? (excuse me but I'm new to this and kinda lost)
You can link a tutorial to be sure, but unless you're formatting the internal storage (/sdcard), there's no reason it won't work. I've not seen a tutorial requiring the format of /sdcard.
yes, it will work fine.
read and reread the instructions until you are comfortable with them.

should not be a problem, just boot into standard recovery mode and flash the zip from your internal memory
As said CWM installs from SD card internal not external add on sd card .

Download your MIUI rom from the official english website
http://miuiandroid.com/
Connect your phone to PC and copy the zip file to your phone ( since you don't have an SD card you can't copy anywhere else anyway ).
Reboot to ClockworkMod Recovery and do a wipe data, wipe cache.
Go to advanced , wipe Dalvik cache , wipe battery stats.
Go back and choose install from zip from sd card , then choose "choose zip from sd card" , select your zip , confirm it once more and you're done. After its finished select reboot.
Okay thanks guys you're all awesome, I did it and its intalled just fine
I've took a backup using CWM, but now can I restore my contacts or apps ?

Apps you can only restore if you backed them up with titanium backup before flashing. Contacts, well... You should have those on your SIM card, or Google account if you used sync.
Have this error on ICS, but never on GB.
Tried unmount/mount
Searched for the temp file (none found.)
Stumped.
Any ideas?
It's not in every app. Some install fine.
+1 same error when installing some apps, not all
Yeh got that too when I tried out ICS earlier
Sent from my GT-I9100
I tried unmounting the SD card and found that to work on apps that I had problems with installing.
I also had to change my settings in Titanium Backup so that it installed to the internal SD card as it was having problems restoring some of my backed up apps.
Edit. I'm on the AndyX rom v 5.1, ICS 4.0.3, XXLBP. Now when installing apps I try all the ones I want with the SD card mounted first, if any don't install I try again with the SD card unmounted through the storage option in the settings. Its annoying, but hopefully it keeps working until there is a fix.
cannot move apps to ext sd card
GS2 I9100kernel version 3.0.15-i9100xxlpb
Not possible to move from int sd to ext where previous
versions allowed it. Seems like a bug. Tried to use SDK
tools changed default install location to external. still does
not solve problem.
Jaclieb
+1 i cant move app to ext sd too....dunno why....i cant install more apps coz i have only 2xxMB left while my ext SD have more than 10GB space=.=
+1 Also have the same problem, Before I just went straight from GB to ICS without using ODIN and that worked fine, after that I used ODIN to flash the Stock S2 ICS I have this problem.
I had the same problem with moving apps to SD and unable to download market apps. The solution is to flash the LP6 kernel. The problem is that the LPB kernel has various bugs and in some occasions disables the USB and mass storage modes so the only way to solve this problem is to flash the LP6 kernel and all these problems will go away.Unfortunatelly LP6 comes with other bugs like the radio doesnt work for example but I think USB and mass storage are more important. This method has been more than tested and confirmed on the Omega thread.Give it a go.

Thank you for this, it worked for me but it's a bit annoying ... must be a bug in the kernel as I found out that if we use the LP6 kernel, this issue will be fixed.
Thing is that on LP6 kernel the FM Radio will not work. I'm not a Radio lover but sometimes we need it.
Hope the fix will come in the next kernel

This is how I rooted ics:
1 Flashed latest ics XXLPH via Odin.
2 Rooted with cf-root.
3 Installed mobile odin.
4 Copy the Code part of XXLPH to phone sd.
5 Open mobile Odin and select kernel, navigate to Code file.
6 Select Flash Firmware.
Might be an easier way but that's what I did.

3.copy I9100_CODE_I9100XXLPH_CL118559_REV02_user_low_ship.tar.md5 to phone & open mobile odin
4.in mobile odin , click open file, open I9100_CODE_I9100XXLPH_CL118559_REV02_user_low_ship.tar.md5
5. clear all, only keep kernel
6. flash firmware
7. reboot and it should be fix
P.S.
it will remove the CWM in recovery, if you want to use CWM in recovery, download cf root, use cwm in app drawer flash it

Have you tried unmounting the SD card and then installing. You would then remount the SD card.

Same problem
Hello I have the original ROM from Samsung and I have the same problem. My phone is not rooted.
Any help??!
Features:
After installing this mod overwhelming number of applications and games will see your sd card as internal memory and internal memory as sd card that allows you to install much more heavy games.
Notes:
Some games still install cash in the real internal memory, but there are not many.
Requirements:
root
CWM recovery
Installation:
Download .zip archive for your firmware.
Place it to sd card.
Go to recovery and do Wipe Cache Partition and Wipe Dalvik Cache.
Install .zip from recovery.
Reboot the phone.
Run RootExplorer (or any other file manager) and transfer the folder Android from /sdcard to /sdcard1. Also you must transfer folders of the other apps (Titanium backup, for example).
To undo changes:
Download cancell .zip archive for your firmware.
Install it via CWM.
Transfer back all replaced folders.
Download:

External_Fix_SXSP_211.zip
External_Fix_SXSP_211_Cancell.zip

yes it works even on .284 firmware.
i just noticed after installing some games, it still consumes the memory of the internal storage (5gb) and does not consume the external sd card? i thought it will be installed in the memory card?
Will this work on odex rom too? Or do i have to deodex my rom?

If after rooting you have run a script or flashed using cwm then you will be deodexed.
if not then you are still odexed easy too check look in system/app if you see odex files or not.
Odex files = still odexed
No odex files= deodexed
