Official CM [Discussion] - G2 General

Hi Guyz... I think there no topic for CM related issues... We can discuss here

Why not post issues in the CM thread in Android Development since most viewers there CM users?

I had issue with cm 10,2. I mean is not issue but some kind of sytuation. Im talking about antutu score on cm and stock. Cm had 23000 score and stock rom have 36000. Why is that big different between them ? Sorry for my english .

It's not development related.. So even if we put this on development thread moderator will move this

Are you using stable or nightlie

If you asking me Im using stable version.

this thread should be official discussion for AOSP ROMs
BTW
There's PACMAN ROM for our device

LG G2 available storage after installing CM11
Hi everybody,
I have an LG G2 16GB D802 and so far I have been very happy with it.
But of course it could be better so I installed CM 11 on it recently.
After the install I have 2.2GB of storage used and about 8.4GB free.
How can I get my phone to the point that all the LG crap which is still on there removed
and can use the 5GB extra storage for my own purposes?
I use CWM and Ubuntu 13.10. all help will be much appreciated.

When you flashed CM all the LG "crap" should be removed. Maybe the Backup is taking up space. You could move it to your PC?

Thanks for your input but I did not back up my original LG rom
I thought installing would give me the possibility to use more of the available storage
but I don't have more usable storage now then with the stock rom.
Should I wipe everything and install CM again?

You could try. Be sure to make a backup though just to be safe. Did you backup your EFS?

Are you having call quality issues? If so I did myself. I unrooted and the call quality came back to perfect after I got stock 4.3.
Is there a solution to call quality? What am I possibly doing wrong?

Vibration issue
Hi everybody,
Since few nightlies I've no more vibration (notification or keyboard).
I've tried an another ROM (GPE) and i've no issue.
Is anybody has the same problem ?
My device is the D802

GT-I9205 Cyanogen Mod Inquiry

Hi there, xda community.
I just bought my GT-I9205 recently and rooted it and installed cwm recovery. I'm just interested to know if there's any cyanogen mod released for the device. As far as I know this device is fairly new and not much has been developed on it. So please tell me if CM is available on this devices.
Thanks!

[Q] Why is CyanogenMod cm-10.2-20130814-NIGHTLY-quincyatt the only 10.2?

I am using CyanogenMod's cm-10.2-20130814-NIGHTLY-quincyatt on my Note and I am wondering why it was the only 10.2 nightly offered? There seems to be continued development and releases of the 10.1 series of ROM's. What have I missed here? I runs pretty good on my phone I have some issues with the screen coming on from sleeping or just being turned off (the screen not the phone) and some occasional random reboots. I am excited to see the 10.2 line progress but I guess I'm just confused as to why there was only one nightly released and the 10.1's continue. Anyone have any thoughts or insight? Thanks.

I'm using the above mentioned ROM. I have used CyanogenMod since the 7.0 releases and it always seemed like when they released a new version nightly, the only progressed with the new version for nightly release. The stable release is a different story. I actually read this on their forum just yesterday I think.

I have been curious about that too. Never seen that before out of CM, however, I have a Nexus 7 3G, and there is no 4.3 CM for it either, so don't feel left out.
I think nightly roms are experimental where they update an issue or a problem gets fix after they get a log cat...they are not official as of yet.I think that's what they mean by nightly...if u try the new pacman 4.3 that one says OFFICIAL..im a tmo user so I can't flash it yet...hopefully a dev can get us a 4.3 official rom on my end.... Hope what I wrote helps...

I'm running the 10.2 nightly from 8/14 as well, and have been pretty happy with it (HUGE thanks to the developers, so much better than the crap stock ROM I was running, which Samsung/AT&T only updated once over a year ago). This one is 4.3, which is very nice, and pretty much the same as the CM 10.2 (JB 4.3) I'm running on my ASUS TF700T tablet. But, I was also curious about if/when any new nightlies might be released in this 10.2 line. I'm not complaining at all, just curious, since there are a few buggy things (mainly what was mentioned by the OP, often doesn't wake up on first try, and some random reboots).

No.
A nightly can be anything from bug fixes to adding in a completely new feature to try. Once those get worked out it moves up the release stability chain.
Official means whatever build, nightly, release candidate, stable release was compiled by a member of the dev team.
Unofficial is someone taking their (whatever Rom dev team it may be) git source and compiling a build themselves.

Thanks. I guess I wanted to stick to what I could get "officially" via the CM site, but maybe I'll check these out.
That's understandable.
The builds are identical though using the same github source that the cm build servers do.
You can set it up yourself and build too. The instructions are in the cm wiki for quincyatt.

Could you elaborate on the flickering? I haven't noticed any sort of flickering or I just haven't been paying close enough attention. How would I reproduce this flickering effect so I can tell whether I am suffering from the problem or not.
EDIT: Just read up on the flickering. I've only had this phone the past month or so may be why I never noticed it. From most of what I've read, it seems like the flickering issue has been resolved for most. You may want to try the latest nightlies. Can't hurt, just make a backup of your current rom and flash over to the latest nightly cm. I'm loving the latest build, they incorporated the option to OC to 1.5ghz and it makes plenty of difference. This phone finally feels on par with my razr m performance wise.

Glad to hear you're giving a more recent nightly another ****. I'm unsure about the sd-card mod. I'm assuming this is to move apps to the sd instead of internal memory? I may need to look into this as well, I've never had many apps at once though so we'll see if needed
I know there is a mod for 10.1 in the development section. I'm just not 100% sure if it is okay to flash it on 10.2, which is the 11/24 builds and on recommended in the previous posts.

Yeah, considering how well 4.3 runs and the phone having an S4 cpu, I really wish HTC would bring jellybean to us officially. We must be the only Snapdragon S4 equipped phone still stuck on ICS. I had a razr m for a short bit until the mic broke. Same specs but the M is clocked at 1.5. It's already got jellybean and has been promised an upgrade to KitKat. I really really wish HTC would GET ON IT

Is there a good android 4.4 Rom for the One X+?

I've got a question, is there a good ROM based on Android 4.4 ?
CM11 works really bad on my phone and would like to have a stock based Rom!
Most important for me is performance and battery life!
Camera and Audio isn't that important for me
So is there any good ROM out there ?
(I'm currently using ARHD 8.0 and it works perfect! But it's not stock based..)
Sent from my HTC One X+ using XDA Free mobile app
ARHD is considered stock. If you define stock as the operating system in its default form.. The same way it came from the manufacturer just saying.
You probably mean based on vanilla android? Or AOSP Or CM.
Well anyway, if you want to use CM11 then I advise you to use the Snapshots not nightlies.
Or try using ParanoidAndroid.. It works fine for me. Battery life is fine and it's buttery smooth
Please press the thanks button if I helped.

CM11 Official ROM impressions

I don't see a thread here to discuss the CM 11 official nightlies, what people think of the ROM, so I created this.
So if you have used one of the July CM11 nightly builds please let us know:
-Any bugs on the ROM? Major, minor?
-How is the ROM stability?
-Responsiveness?
-Does the ROM auto update using cyanogenmod built in OTA updates?
Sent from my C6806_GPe using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I tried it for a short time, but couldn't really see the point when I could just keep using the GPe ROM with Xposed.
Sure, CM has other features that are great, but it doesn't seems as stable as the GPe ROM? Or maybe that was just my initial impression. There's very little info and documentation on CM for the Ultra, so we also have NO clue about potential bugs and so on, so that's annoying.
That's why I created this thread, no one has ever given any feedback on the cm11 ROM, specially the latest July releases which have now become true nightly releases which may mean that the build is now stable.

Voicemail notification not working for me. Baseband used by CM is 45-39, I think that's the .681 version, maybe that's the issue. Depending on your point of view, could be considered a major bug.

Yes there could be bugs in one and not the other - case in point the camera not working in the GPe ROMs of 4.4.4 but was in the togari
I know theoretically there can be, I'm talking about reality, someone who has used the ROM and can report bugs.
I find it very strange that there isn't a discussion thread for either the Xperia ZU or the GPe CM11 ROM, how are people supposed to report bugs to the CM team?
Do they at least have a device specific change log ?

It can't be done as far as I can tell. I opened an account to report to their jira system which was closed as invalid due to it being a nightly build. Posted in CM forum for device and didn't get a response, posted to freexperia's G+ because one of their members was listed as CM maintainer and didn't a response.
