Does it have android 4.4 support, would test it myself but I have to leave home in 1h and won't be back for a few hours so I can't afford to soft brick my phone now cause I'll need it while not home?

Yah, didn't read the main thread, but anyway it is compatible, thank you.
Really nice to see such a feature to an CWM recovery, hope to be able to use this for my tablet too in the future.
TWRP backup and restore support, include full md5 sum support (single and multivolume, compressed and non compressed formats)

EDIT: Thanks and Rate Thread added like i always do. Cheers!
It seems that at least for me the recovery fails at completing my backups, it says they are completed, but the size is just half (or even less) of the actual size of my system partition and after restoring each and every backup I make my phone fails to boot.
Good recovery. Very fast and very complete.
The only way to install it on one x + and flash it from the bootloader with the terminal.

Thanks @Phil3759!!!
We are happy!
Great recovery :good:
The only problem I see is that the battery level is always stuck at 66%... would it be possible to fix it?
Thank you very much!
Does it work for at&t/telus?
I doubt it given its built for the international version, I would be careful not to flash this on at AT&T device incase you brick it.
Best recovery ever Thank you Phil3759
just installed the latest build (6.12.8) within recovery. while installation it says that version 6.0.4.7 will be flashed but after reboot still i got 6.0.4.6.
do we have to flash to recovery.img in bootloader?

Well if you don't have S-Off then yes, cause the boot and recovery partitions are locked.
Why is it not working for me? I am INT , got CWM installed, and i install from zip, says complete, I restart the recovery and its still the same old CWM.. ?

Because you need to flash recovery and boot images in bootloader using fastboot from the pc, the boot and recovery partitions are locked if you don't have S-Off...

Hello there !
I have a Nexus 4 with ClockWorkMod and I'm wondering if flashing Ubuntu Touch could possibly wipe my recovery. Also, does it wipes the data contained in /sdcard ?
Some reports have said no, some say yes. I'm checking now, but assume it does until we know otherwise.

it wipes the entire device if you use the instructions Ubuntu provides....as stated in the instructions
there is info right here on xda, on how to do it without wiping everything

where please? we are all flashing through zip via recovery...
Considering the build script checks if the recovery is flashable:
subprocess.check_call('sudo fastboot flash recovery %s' % recovery_file,
shell=True)
I would assume it would flash the recovery partition.

that's without any doubt! I don't have the zip yet, so can you check if something is related to an sd card wipe??
people are reporting TWRP works ok, no recovery nor sd card wipes
The built-in installer DOES flash a new recovery (looks like a stock recovery, or maybe with their own modifications). I'm not sure if it wipes nandroid backups yet, going to check that next.

If people would stop creating new threads every 3 seconds about ubuntu it would be easier to find....but alas, the xda public is too damn impatient
After installing through the "Ubuntu" method, which does flash a new recovery, I reflashed TWRP and checked and it does still keep the nandroid backups, so everything is still there. It's easy to go back to your old backup even after flashing the new recovery. Meaning, their process does not wipe the sdcard.

I flashed using the zip files and could simply reboot, holding the volume button down, and get back into TWRP

correct. if you dont flash using canonicals instructions, and only flash the 2 zip files, nothing on your boot or recovery is touched....
thats what i am trying to say here. if you follow the canonical way, it wipes everything, loads its own boot.img and recovery.img, then flashes those zip files.
we dont need their boot or recovery to make this work. if you already have cwm or twrp all you have to do is flash the zip files

Hi All!
I have an HTC One X+, International. I have decided to try and "play" with it and so I have Unlocked and Rooted and then tried Installing a Custom Rom, based on those instructions:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2213910
Unlock and Root went well, and so installing TWRP (its present).
Then I got here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2067325
After trying to install the ROM (first image then zip - followed the instructions), the device is booting with the CM logo spinning, but then it gives out an "Unfortunately, NFC Service has stopped " error...
Please help!
I tried to go back to the original restore via TWRP - no luck. The HTC screen appears and then stuck in it.

Try and flash another ROM & Image. It appears the ROM might not have been downloaded properly.
BTW what happened after it gave the NFC error? Did you complete the rest of the process and simply restarted the device?
flash the CORRECT kernel! read the op!!!!!!! why do you people not read?! seriously!
full wipe the rom before flashing CM on top of whatever you had before!
the rom works correct! the problem is you

I cant get a new rom to the device - the computer stopped recognizing it and I have no idea how to get a file on it (maybe somehow via the terminal/SDK.bat?).
After it gives the NFC error, there is an "OK' button. I hit it a few times and nothing happens. Then the screen goes off and I cant turn it back on, unless I use the power button/volume down...
I did though tried a different image... same result.

I am assuming you have latest ADB tools installed in your system.
You can use ADB sideload to copy ROM in the phone
When you are pressing the powerbutton + vol down - I hope you are getting to boot loader?

Hi Lloir!
I much appreciate the personnel response and the time you took to reply to me.
Before I had the original HOX+ rom+sense and I believe I DID a full wipe
I flashed the kernel from your post. I believe that my lack of knowledge lead me to download the wrong one (?) boot-BLADE-42-201305062233
Would you be so kind and please guide me to the correct steps? I have spent several hours allready trying to fix this issue.

the kernel you need is boot-BLADE-CM10.1-whateverdatehere
not the 42 kernels, those are for AOSP\PA\AOKP

This was FAST answer!
I see my mistake (reading comprehension) :
CM10 - for 4.1 based roms e.g. CM10 and AOKP 4.1.2
CM10.1 - ONLY for CM10.1
42 - 4.2 based roms e.g. AOKP 4.2.1 and AOSP 4.2.1
I thought that your ROM is based on the 4.2 (?)
Downloading the Kernel now.
By the way, when and how do I add the gapps?
flash kernel
flash rom
after rom flash the gapps

Thank you. I already flashed kernel and rom. Phone booted up and seem to work. A few issues:
1) I did not put the gapps zip on the phone before the process.
2) Though the phone appears as a drive in Windows, I can not copy any file to it.
3) Camera says NO SD Card and exits....

You're definitely using a TWRP recovery made for JB hboot? @GtrCraft, did you put the right boot.img inside the zip?
Also, you can try flashing a custom JB kernel of your choice.
@dansou901 I believe so, flashing this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2344254) work like a charm (except for the rom that hasn't got any wifi, ...)
How can i check to be sure?

For booting that ROM a CM kernel is needed. As you have installed one (if it works like you said), you need to install a JB Sense kernel (just pick one from Original Android Development section). Then reinstall SuperSense and you should be fine.
I'll give that a go and let you know
@dansou901 , i've used this boot.img (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2337389) because i've already been able to flash that rom as well.
but now i can't seem to get rid of my previous custom rom. i've done a factory reset, i wiped everything there is to wipe, i've flashed the above boot.img and supersense but it's still another custom rom on my device :s

That one's made for ICS, if I recall correctly... Don't use it. Use this one instead: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2099513 But be sure to use a JB version.

And i would like to thank you allready

No, it's not. You can however choose the kernel yourself as I said... But keep in mind that it has to be a JB Sense kernel (just read the OP of the kernel thread carefully, then you'll know). For recoveries, keep this in mind.

Strange, but did not work for me. Not even the normal cwm
I flashed it via existing CWM 6.0.4.5, installed it from extsd card. It showed me Install complete. When after pressing the key sequence for recovery mode, the screen that flashes just before cwm(light greyish) flashed and then again complete dark screen and device reboots and boots in normal mode(means turns on).
I again tried flashing it via odin. Same Result
Flashed 6.0.4.5 and it worked as before.
Not sure what I did wrong. (Though I don't think I have done any mistake as I've done this several times)
Still went through the steps given in the post and followed. My bad luck it seems...

You didn't mention what device you have for some reason, but most likely it is due to the version of CWM you are using. It's pretty outdated for newer roms.

sorry my device is honor holly and the recovery i used based on what is recommended in this thread for the ROM

THANKS & BEST REGRDS
I don't see mention of using that specific version of CWM. I did see a few suggestions to use Philz recovery, which is based off of CWM. Also, might depend on which firmware update you were on before starting. Might need to update that then redo the recovery and rom.

Do you mean that you can't install another recovery or that the rom fails through the other recoveries as well?
