Do you think we will be able to make them go away at some point? Apparently you used to be able to task out the home button but they software patched the setting out.

put it back by either installing the xposed framework and paulobrien's xposed mods or a custom ROM like AHRD.
problem solved.
Xposed Additions - XposedBridge Module that provides additional ROM settings
When I switched device from HTC One X to Samsung GS3, I quickly noticed one extremely annoying thing, the position of the power button. I could not touch the device in any way (Like to put it in the pocket) without the damn display turning on, and when you like me set up the device to never turn off the screen automatically, this is not a good thing.
It did not take long before I pulled down the sources for CM10.1 and added a small feature which allowed me to disable the damn power button whenever the screen was off. The main issue with doing this, is that you need to re-compile the whole ROM on every update and you also need to add the feature to any other ROM you might wish to try out.
Then came XposedBridge and just by creating a small module, I could now add this feature and more to any ROM without altering the ROM source, and without recompiling anything when I want to try another ROM.
But like always, there is always improvements to be made and requests from users. So now this module is a growing Power and Button Re-map controller allowing you to setup your device and it's buttons just the way you would like. The Re-map option support Clicks, Double Clicks and Long Press, you can add whatever button you like that your devices has and you can Re-map it to do almost anything.
Supported ROM's
This module is supported on all Android 2.3 and up. It is required to have Xposed Bridge installed though. You can find it for Android 4.0+ and Android 2.3

That would require a bit more work, something that I at present time does not have. At the moment I have a few projects midway through some minor and major updates, which I need to finish before taking on more. This was just a small module that I made for myself to save time by not having to compile my own CM update versions all the time, and then I thought that others might want it as well. But I will add more when I get the time, but Halo I cannot promise.
Thanks man.
Thanks, works on my note n7100.

Works for me!
Hi Sir,
Can you add an option to disable home button when phone is locked. In my case it more easier to get pressed than the power button when my note 2 is in my pocket.
Thanks.

Nothing more annoying than having your device continuing turn on by accidental key presses. This is a friarly simple option, as it only needs a little extension to my already existing power disable feature. I will see about adding it after the weekend
Thanks a lot for considering my request.

Sorry no. The swipe feature is a kernel implementation/hack which translates your swipe into a power button press. Android itself has no swipe feature, so to Android there is no difference between you swiping or pressing the button. The only way to make a feature for both separately, is if the kernel dev implements something that can be identified in the Android framework to help distinguish the two. Without this, there is no way for me to check which action you took to turn on the screen.

I know this may sound odd, but can you please add an option to open an app after boot, I allready have an app that does that for me, but it is kinda slow, it doesen't open right after boot, it takes a bit, sometimes it even takes 2-3 minutes and sometimes it doesen't even open, so I was thinking that if this was done using an xposed module the app would open right after boot.....I really need to open that app every time my phone starts.

Samsung really messed up right now, they're trying to replace Google services with their BS! First they removed Google TTS (which I had to manually put back through root). Holding down the menu button brings up Sfinder instead of Google now, they don't let you OTA if you've rooted. Wtf is going on! I'd personally like the option to choose to open Google apps instead of having to use Sfinder and svoice. Is anyone else feeling kind of pissed about this stuff

personally why would you want to OTA with root? Chances are you will lose root. They do that for safety, less problems. I remember phones bricking all the time when you did OTA, just do the updates from xda. And personally... I'd never compare samsung to apple. That is just a horrible thing to do man.:silly:

well Id recommend waiting. It might be harder to root again if u go back to stock
Now I'm stock with root and I'm up to date on the latest firmware. It took a while though because of the whole device status blocking an OTA but I got it. Now I'm just gonna wait for more custom roms to release

I installed jelly bomb last night and everything works super amazing! Thank you josh beach!! I just have one problem, when I turn my phone off then back on I get a little message on top saying "kernel is not seandroid enforcing", "set warranty bit: kernel". I just would like to know if that's normal? If not, what can I do to fix this? It's my first android phone so an explanation in depth would be preferred please. Thanks
I experience this as well. It is nothing to worry about. Getting rid of it would be nice though.

Oh okay thanks a lot!! I just thought I might have missed a step in process.
I'm very new to this and I was wondering if you could tell me if I did the right steps to flash everything I need?
I rooted my phone, installed twrp, made a back up of all my apps, wiped my phone and then flashed jelly bomb and hot spot mod.
Anything I'm missing?

If you're not satisfied with the look and feel, want some more customization, then make sure to set up Xposed Installer and Wanam Xposed.
(From a post I made in the JellyBomb thread)
Learning how to use the Xposed Installer and Wanam Exposed is essential in customizing JellyBomb Domination, once set up all sorts of customization options become available.
For anyone who wants to change the look and feel of, for example; Notifications Panel "background" or add a "Call Recording button" to the Phone app...
1. Run your Xposed Installer, select Framework and Install/Update. Reboot.
2. Ensure that Wanam Xposed is checked in the Xposed Installer "Modules" tab.
3. Run Wanam Xposed and start customizing!
There are all sorts of Xposed modules available for download if you need something Wanam Xposed doesn't offer.
The Battery Icon can be customized several ways with these Mods, as well as through options available in Wanam Xposed.
Exposed is the shizz mos def
Also I have that same message on my phone and I don't believe it is a problem

There is now an official dev-created JellyBomb Q&A thread. ... Check it out. Better chance of getting questions answered there. ..
(Sent from my JellyBombed Not3 using the xda premium app)
Since several people have asked about this in my thread asking about plugins, I thought I'd put together a quick tutorial on how to get Xposed working on a ROOTED T-Mobile V10.
Requirements:
A ROOTED T-Mobile LG V10 running TWRP - Check out this thread for instructions on flashing TWRP and Root (Credit KAsp3rd)
Xposed V75 sdk22 arm64 - Link Courtesy mikeyinid
Xposed Installer 3.0 Alpha 4 - Link Courtesy Kenyonj
Known Issues:
Second Screen Force Closes any time a call is made or received
Second Screen Quick Contacts Widget doesn't work
Please report any others
Process:
OEM unlock, flash TWRP, Flash root
MAKE A BACKUP IN TWRP!!! (Very important. Xposed Framework will break things, and you may decide it's best to go back to stock for now.)
Copy the two files downloaded above onto the phone
Flash Xposed V75 sdk22 arm64 zip file in TWRP
Install Xposed Installer 3.0 Alpha 4 apk with a file manager
Run Xposed app, download plugins
Recommended Plugins:
Gravity Box - Change battery icons, hide ongoing notifications, change notification bar colors, change clock, etc. Many options do not work however. (Credit Airtioteclint)
Please recommend any that work well for you!
What not to try:
DPI Change - Will break systemui (Credit Warrior1975
Advanced power menu options in Gravitybox. We have a very custom poweroff menu, Gravitybox doesn't change anything on it.
Please let me know if anything you try breaks something
Thanks to KAsp3rd, Mikeyinid, Kenyonj, Airtioteclint, Warrior1975
So, just having xposed installed will break secondscreen?

Wi-Fi calling works as long as you have a LTE connection. It is sort of broken with Xposed installed.
I always have it enabled, so that could explain why it worked for me.

Yup, I didn't notice either until someone asked me to test it. It's a known issue on the G4 as well.
Does anyone use PowerNap? The other modules I've used seem to work fine but PowerNap seems to make it go into such a deep sleep that I have to do a battery pull. I'm sure I have to find some apps to whitelist to stop it from happening but not sure which.
Big thanks for this! I've been having fun all day trying out various Xposed modules. I have my phone exactly how I want it now (for now lol)
Was anyone able to get Gravity Box to work? I get "GravityBox system framework not responding. Exiting."
GB works fine for me. Are you sure you are using the latest lollipop version and have v75 arm64 of xposed installed?
I use GB to center the clock, enable quick pin unlock, and to enable the circle battery
Looks like the second screen issue has been resolved. I installed the ZIP package and I have not seen any issues for the past hour I have been testing.
