Can someone give me any ideas why my tablets doing this?
Lately it seems that when I try to touch the screen to start an app or select a menu item or basically touch anywhere on the screen
it seems to activate in 2 spots like I'm touching the screen in 2 locations.
Anyone got an idea of what could cause this?
I was wondering if extra capacitance can cause it from being in the keyboard case I got for it or being warm although it doesn't feel that warm to me even though I have it on almost constantly and the ac adapter always connected.
I'm stumped and can't seem to find anything with Google that's like this problem.
Please help.

So I made the jump from Android (Nexus One) to the Radar and I really like it so far!
I do, however, have an issue with the phone that I am wondering if anyone else has noticed.
I have noticed that sometimes when I go to touch a tile(or other UI object)...if I quickly touch it, it seems that the screen doesn't always detect my touch. Sometimes I'll even hit it a couple of times before it responds.
The behavior is inconsistent though. After it smartens up and responds to my touch, then it seems to detect it fine. It's squirrelly and a little disconcerting.
I also think that the region of the screen might have something to do with it. The tile 2nd from the top on the home screen ("messaging" in my case) seems particularly susceptible to this problem.
Has anyone else noticed this? I'm a little paranoid because I bought this phone "new" from someone on CL and when I took it home I realized it was a refurbished model.
I had this problem when I had my 7 Pro. After a while it got worse, as I had to put the phone on standby and then turn it on again to be able to use the screen. I sent it in to HTC for repair, and they swapped the entire front panel with a new one.
Im having the same problem with my sprint arrive I think the problem is related to what is in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1239238&page=7
but I still cant seem to get it to work
Has anyone else had issues with their back light faulting? I've searched and have seen that other sprint evo lte users have had issues with screen flickering, but my problem seems to be more serious that that. when i wake up in the morning the screen is blank. thank god i have a custrom rom installed and can manually mess with the status bar slider to get the backlight to turn back on. It just needs to be tweaked here and there. the backlight seems to only like to work on full brightness, if not, it will flicker like crazy. if i press with more pressure on certain parts of the screen the backlight turns off completely until i remove my finger. I dont think its a proximity issue since it'll just flicker sitting on a desk. Do I need to replace the screen? is this worth it? i havent dropped to phone or anything for this to default. I can upload a video later. gonna use my OG evo for that which is still kicken by the way
I realize this thread is incredibly old, but did you ever find a solution to the flickering problem? I just started seeing the exact same behavior, including the screen going dark when putting pressure on certain areas of the screen.
Thanks!
I have a PJ75100 doing this, but the screen does not function at all. I get the orange/green light while charging, and if I power it on it acts as if it's doing it's regular startup, but nothing shows on screen.
I did update the stock firmware with the latest release ruu, but still no screen.
I'd really like to get this one going as it's not the normal Jewel, it's the white and silver one, and my girlfriend wants it to replace her iPhone 5c.
Sent from my EVO using XDA Forums Pro.
So, this thing drives me crazy...I've tried everything I knew and still nothing solved this problem.
I'm using HTC One. About 10 days ago weird things with touch started to happen. It seems that touch is partly unavailable/unresponsible on touch in one or two small areas. It seems to me like theres an empty place on my touch. Visualy is everything fine. Screen is crystal clear and has no damages or scratches. But I can't slide icons without troubles. Somwhere on 1/4 of screen, touch brakes briefly and I need another try to slide the icon. The same thing happens with status bar on the top of screen - I can slide it until that 1/4 part and it stops there and goes back. If I slide it quick with short move, it works fine, just slide alone over problematic area.
Also, few times I had that problem where screen works things on itself will. Makes pictures, or adds filters on Instagram, or, I don't know, just jumps around for few secons. Then, I lock the screen, then unlock it and usually that calm down the screen.
Also weird thing is that, when I want to send message, I can't reach "send" button in first try. I have to drop down writing sheet, than to touch the letters to put it in writing mode again, and then I can click the "send" button. On the same place where it was previously!
At first, I thought that plastic case or PVC protection is the problem, so I took off the protector from the screen. That solved problem for a bit. Then, I put back screen guard, and problem came back. After I totally rejected screen guard, problem is still here. I've tried to reset phone on factory, but that wasn't helpfull...
I forgot to state that I'm using Android 4.2.2 and this started to happen after that version update. I had no problem before.
So, now I'm here, as I don't know what else to do before I take this beauty to service. I just hope that this happens because of software bugs :crying:
Is there anyone who could help me? Have similar problem or know how to fix this?
In the meantime, I'll just hope that 4.3 will fix it themself... :fingers-crossed:
Hi!
My phone got a broken screen, but I got a replacement device from the insurance.
Trouble is, after a while with screen on the screen seems to become hypersensitive - it's nearly impossible to enter text through the display keyboard or just to zoom and move a webpage
After switching the screen off and back on again immediately it's OK again for a while.
Anyone else seeing this behaviour? I reckon it's a hardware problem, but maybe someone has a different explanation for this problem?
I recently got a 2nd gen 360 for the first time and love it. However, I have noticed an interesting issue that i have been able to replicate but not find any other information on. When the watch is cool like just sitting on the table, everything works fine; but when the watch is worn and comes up to body temp after an hour or so, the top half of the screen stops registering, and after wearing the watch for a few hours, it starts to ghost touch in the "dead area". I turned on the dev options so I can see the touches and map out the pointer location to prove this. Factory resetting doesn't help and everything is completely up to date so it definitely appears to be a hardware issue? Has anyone else seen this or have any input on it?
Motorola agreed this was something outside of my control and sent me a replacement. Still curious if anyone has any ideas or theories.
