Hello there. It seems I got the download manager corrupted when trying to put the playstore to work. The thing is I have backed up the files with titanium backup in my pc. But i am unable to access it. Because i did a factory reset excpecting it will restore all the files.
Now i have the backup and apps in the download folder, however as the KFHDX does not come with a file Explorer i cannot install titanium backup to restore. Also any download for all interfaces fails (Email, browser, apps, books).
I would appreciate any help in solving this issue.

Because readers hub is a system app, found in system/apps.
titanium backup can't restore system apps. like, it couldnt' restore my clock application, i had to manually restore it.
How do I restore readers hub manually? I have the same problem. I flashed eastern european rom and reader hub is different (very ugly one) so I removed it using titanium backup and tried to restore from titanium made backup. kobo an pres reader restores just fine but not readers hub
You can get Readers Hub app from the ROM you like and install it using ADB. Its as easy as:
1) Get the phone in ClockworkMod and connect it to the PC.
2) adb push ReadersHub.apk /system/app
3) Restart phone and there's your app
Please cancdomeone extract readers hub for me :-(
Please.. Also can,I,copy it using root file explorer and reboot? Is it gonna be the same as pushing with adb?

Titanium restores system apps just fine for me, I occasionally see this with any random app, it's almost like the back up is corrupted in someway.
Usually you can restore from the the source apk then restore the data only with titanium but not always
Hi All
I am just wondering if it is possible to Restore APPS and APP Settings from a DATA.img file using an update.zip.
I extracted the contents of a DATA.img file and used the DATA and APP directories to populate the update.zip. I removed all the android and google directories and APPS.
When I apply the update.zip some of the APPS work perfectly yet others Force Close all the time.
Am I missing something, do I need to restore some other files?
Any ideas?
Thanks
Just use titanium backup to backup ur apps, than restore ur backup easily with batch operation.
Only app or app with data, choose what you want.
And its safe.

Yeah, Titanium Backup is by far the best solution that i have come by.
Help,
Found similar topics but no real solution.
Was on Wolf v6s. Backed up all my apps. Went back to stock with SEUS, installed titanium restore and choose batch.
All my apps are greyed out! I can't manually restore them. it just says: What would you like to do? and no buttons to click. They are stored on SD/titaniumbackup
No problems restoring my messages, wifi connections, ...
Please don't tell me that it's lost cause I really need them.
What titanium version do you have? Pro or root? If you have pro can you try root.
If thats not working then go
Settings>Applications>Titanium Backup>and select clear data or cache
If thats still not working, uninstall then install again.

I just have root. Clear cache didn't do anything cause I had to reinstall titanium after full wipe.
Reinstalling also didn't do a thing, cause i just installed it after wipe.
I'm still hoping
Use root explorer or astro file manager. Go to sd files, open titanium folder, and either install from there or cut and paste to data/apps then reboot.

Either use root explorer to put the apk into /system/app
or
download android commander and install as a system application or push to /system/app
wizzbang3, i have a similar problem with my messages app, could you please make a titanium bakup for it and post it? thanks!

Root, install titanium backup pro, backup, also do a nandroid backup in recovery, and backup your sd to computer.....and back up your efs with k tools, and backup that backup to your computer/cloud........there you go, all sorted and ready to flash!
You can also backup them using Samsung Kies.

Mine work fine. But recently it start to get slow finding my apps and the loading take like forever. Not sure if my 70+ of apps is too much or Kies is just useless POS. :sly:

I would recommend a nandroid backup and apoextractor to restore apos from the backup..
Sent from Hell!!
There are a few ways of doing this:
Using Titanium Backup
Using the ADB
Using CWM Advanced Restore
1: Go into Google Play and download Titanium backup (From Titanium Track), make sure you are rooted, otherwise this won't work.
Do a batch operation, select the apps you want to back up, let it run and you're done.
2. Go to the Win8 - Help thread, which is in my description and download the Executables file, that has all the files you need.
Make sure you have USB debugging checked!
In the folder, where you installed the files to, (Win Vista/7) press and hold shift, while right-clicking (Then you can let go of shift).
Select CMD and type in the following:
For User apps (Only)
Code:
adb start-server
adb backup -apk -nosystem -noshared -all
For User apps + system apps
Code:
adb start-server
adb backup -apk -system -noshared -all
That will backup your apps, to your computer (File will be in the same folder as ADB executable/s)
To restore:
Code:
adb start-server
adb restore <path-to-file\filename.ab>
3. Back your phone up with CWM, when you're done, reset the device to original state (Factory reset) and boot up your phone.
Once it has rebooted, boot back into recovery, select advanced restore and choose data, that will re-install all your apps...
I recommend using 1 or 2, they are the safest, in terms of system health...
Hope I could help!
Rom Toolbox is another great app for this task imho, it has other cool tweaks too, some i dare not to change lol
