Either use root explorer to put the apk into /system/app
or
download android commander and install as a system application or push to /system/app

So i have a month old nandroid that i just need one thing out of.
Ideas on how to get it out?
I know you can browse them now.
But my plan B was to restore and titanium backup just that app.
Thoughts?
Use unyaffs to extract data from your data.img.

Or use app free from market 'app extractor'. Don't think it works with ICS add yet.
Edit : oops, didn't read the post two above mine, sorry.

After an app update, the app stopped working... I just extracted the apk from an old CWM data tarball and installed it. It worked.
clockworkmod backup folder > data.ext4.tar > data > app > get the apk here.
Maybe this isn't true for all versions of CWM, android, or apps though...
Lesson learned, make a nAndroid every now and then, that way when updates break apps, you can go back to the old versions!

[Q] Using ADB to Move Cerberus App To System?

I have the Cerberus App installed on my phone through the Play Store. I wanted to get it installed in system/app so that it stays there even if I wipe and restore the phone or someone else does it. Is there a way to move it through ADB or a File Manager?
You can use Titanium backup, and just convert it to system app

Does.root.works.with.another apps? If.yes, rename your.titanium.backup.folder on.as cArd just in case, then.delete titanium.backup data.in settings.and rename folder back to original name and try then if.it won't work.try to.uninstall and install titanium again
Edit: also.make sure that you installed root libs from an.superuser.app, as both of them use.another libs, so one wouldn't work with libs from another

I can't see superuser also in my TB. I guess it's really not shown in TB. You can remove and replace manually.

[Q] System apps backup and remove

Hi Folks,
I want to backup all the system apps and remove the unnecessary apps which are running in background. Is it good to backup the system apps by copying the apk files from /system/app ?
Also is it good to remove an unwanted app from /system/app to delete a system app?

You can copy/paste them to your external storage, or the other and better way is to rename them with apk.bat in the end and thats it.

No Downloadind no file Explorer

Hello there. It seems I got the download manager corrupted when trying to put the playstore to work. The thing is I have backed up the files with titanium backup in my pc. But i am unable to access it. Because i did a factory reset excpecting it will restore all the files.
Now i have the backup and apps in the download folder, however as the KFHDX does not come with a file Explorer i cannot install titanium backup to restore. Also any download for all interfaces fails (Email, browser, apps, books).
I would appreciate any help in solving this issue.
