Hello
I have a samsung galaxy xcover that come with a 1500mAh battery.
Due to low life, I bought a 1800mAh battery.
The thing is that all application telle me that my battery is fully charge, and the charger seems to stop charging, at 1500mAh in place of 1800mAh.
Is there any way to get over this number ?
Can I update something somewhere in Android to tell him that my battery is now 1800mAh ?
My smartphone is rooted.
Best regards,
Pierre

Hi all,
I just bought a 3400 mAh extended battery on ebay . Is there a way to measure the battery capacity ? I used tbattery, but it seems not work correcly .
I like the battery very much, the battery cover fits 100% . But I still not get the battery to work, the power is still the same as the original battery. Do i need to install new roms or radio ?
Thx for reading !
Yes.
The pay electrical engineer would do it is:
- Have a multi-meter with ampmeter feature.
- Apply an electrical load (small light bulb or resistor) with ampmeter in series across the battery.
- With circuit closed, not ampmeter reading.
- Use stop watch and count how many minutes or hours the light stays running until the voltage drops a significant amount.
- The product of amps and hours is your wattage.
The Right Question is, How your device measures it?
Have you tried to remove and put back the battery again after your device says that the battery is over?
Yeahh, I just bought a new one 2300 mah by Leicke for only 20 euro. Used tbattery and it shows 2300 mah, the cover fit, kickstand is metal. Very happy now, thx all .

I recently bought a mipow 2600mah portable battery charger for my xperia s and since its my first time to use such device, i have something i want to clarify before i send the product back.
1. The charger promises 2600 mah. Xperia s comes with 1750mah and yet i only get 80 percent charge before the charger runs out. Is this normal?
2. The charger gets really hot after 30 mins or so of charging. Again, is this normal?
3. Does portable chargers work like the phone batteries wherein it gets better after each charge cycle?
I tried.to contact them but to no avail. Perhaps theres someone here who has an experience with portable chargers? Need inputs. Thank you..

I think 2600 mAh os too low for the Portable battery backup. While other comes with 3500+ and even 15000+ mAh,
Portable battery should be 3.5 V [see your battery back side] if it is exceeds it will get hot. If the battery gets hot if can even burst :angel:be carefull
Only Search for polymer lithium-ion battery backup.
Hi all, I have a hdc mtk 6572 and I recently bought the battery from the original s4 in Phonehouse, the problem I have is that the phone is not charging the battery to 100% bone phone reaches 100% charge but really this half of its capacity because when the phone is 100% you remove the battery and put it into a unique and puts s4 having 50%.
What I have tried is to remove the battery batterystats.bin being 100% real (loaded with original s4) I have also tried an app which detects that the battery is 1000mAh (in the original 2600mAh s4 the detected so is no battery problem) this app it says you can modify the kernel mAh (which I do not think). The application is Battery Monitor Widget Pro
To summarize a bit, the phone does not detect the original 2600mAh battery so no load to 100%. You can help me solve the problem?
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

had the same problem, i bought original new battery so i thought, it looked identical to old one, but then turns out it was a really good chinese fake, and phone thought the same and greets me with message "use genuine battery" then shuts down
the only way was to find real original battery was buying a used phone (damaged screen, not bootable etc. so it was cheap) but with original good battery
edit. also there is a little bypass with fake battery mode (phone can be booted without battery but with charge cable only or with not original battery), but then phone wont tell you how many percentage left before its completely discharge so it's only useful to use phone without battery but using only charge cable
Hi folks ,

Whatever i research i found there are no genuine battery available or it's old one refurbished.
So i ordered polarcell akku battery but still don't get so can't say the quality of it.
When you can , share your experience please !

I bought the polarcell two weeks ago and I'm pretty happy with it. I get 4h SoT when before with an "OEM" replacement i could not get past 3h...

Ok i will share...but already someone share his experience..
The battery I got with my phone I suspected was not original. The battery meter would drop several percent shortly after charging the phone. I then read the comments that originals aren't made anymore and shopped around to see whats out there. I know those chinese sellers are lying about battery capacity since they do it for every battery type out there. But I wanted to do a little baseline for my current battery that came with the phone. The cheapest way I saw was to use this USB charge meter that shows voltage, current, power and capacity in mAh. So I discharged the phone down to 2% and then connected it with the fast charger (5v stock charger) and used the meter to measure how many mAh were consumed. The phone was put in Airplane mode and the screen left off. A couple things to note, the phone itself even though in airplane mode and no apps running will in itself consume some power, it will be very little and will be negligible for this test. The meter itself uses power but the mAh counter does not run up with that power being consumed and if it did it would be very little. Lastly even though the phone said there is 2% battery life left that is not true, because it is setup to prevent the user from over discharging the battery because that will destroy the batteries internal structure. So I do not know what the minimum voltage is for the battery when measuring the capacity ( and I really don't care at this point) the reading I get is for what a normal user would get from using their phone till it shut off on them. The value I got was 1960mAh, the battery claims to be 3000mAh. It will be interesting to see your results even those with extended batteries.

i have a spare ANKER battery, works like OEM. fully recommended
I bought this battery and I get at least 19 hours out of it. I'm a moderate user.

I just got a Beltron battery from EBay (user: Beltron) and the battery arrived DOA and would not take a charge. The initial voltage was 3.4V and got it up to 3.7V (dead for a Li batt.)
Battery dated 7/16/15, kinda BS that they wouldn't precharge or test a battery. Unless its a scam in the hopes that the buyer will just throw it in the garbage.

Go for polarcel akku battery it's good one. ...
I got an Anker battery and it is so awesome to finally have a proper battery for my G3. I will test the capacity when I get a chance but I can tell it's as good or better than original.
edit: Tested capacity and it is a little over 3000mAh
I'm thinking about ordering the Anker 3000mAh Li-ion Battery, but I'm also considering getting (preferably) the, Perfine 3000mAh OEM Li-ion Battery, because they both have IC Chips but,
the Perfine has IC Chip states it has all these features; "prevents short circuiting, overcharging, overheating and lengthens battery life"
the Anker IC Chip only states its features; "prevents overcharging & prevent short-circuiting"
BUT in the Perfine info at Amazon it says -Without NFC functionality.
AND I have My LG G3 which has the OEM cover, with GPS/NFC parts embedded into the back.
So my questions are this;
1.)Do all IC Battery Chips have all the same great features, and they just didn't state all the features on their Amazon page? Or Does the Perfine IC Battery Chip really have more IC features?
2.)My LG G3 has the OEM cover,GPS/NFC parts embedded into the back. Do I need a NFC/GPS battery for NFC/GPS to work? Or will my cover be all I need?
3.)If my OEM Cover is all I need will my GPS/NFC take a performance hit?
