There's a reason for that, xda rules were broken, don't know how this relates to reposting his stuff but I imagine it's frowned upon.

I suppose you could PM a link to the guy - but I definitely wouldn't post it openly after what's transpired.
Its weird..isn't Monx is an experienced and recognize developer on XDA, doesn't he know that what he did will ban him from it....is he taken advantage of slow development of ZU and trying make money cause people who want will come to him....it's baffled me...

I think a lot of people are surprised/disappointed by what's happened.
I definitely am because after reading the thread I was really tempted to try the Monxified ROM - but alas.
To be honest... Monx Rom is the best in term of all Rom that I tried...to bad that our ultra losing a great developer

Unbelievable - nearly 10 years of hard developing just thrown away.
His Rom's were the best and the fastest, it's a shame !
You think the moderator can drop the charges on Monx if we plead and make Monx not to do it again...maybe he forget or not intentionally....just happy he make a rom for us but less than a month he's out of the picture for good...i use his rom and i love it....just can't take this reallity...we only just got a few stock rom...

Yeah i know....i dont see any link for donation...he just say that people who donated got updated first....that's people's right to pay or not...he not ask to did he....is that count also for breaking the xda law....

Seriously, i get it why he got banned. Giving donators privileges is a ****ty way of doing things. It would've been okay if it was an app, but holding a ROM update back for those who haven't given him money is beyond pathetic. Him being a recognized dev on top of that just makes this worse. He got greedy.
greedy for pennies, dam that whole greediness, now what it seems that losing monx is a big losss as his rom was great.
I think we should however try to settle this and ask the moderator to lift the ban, as this is going to make the dev section slowing momentum which is already the case
BTW if you know how to work the internets then the DL links are easy to find
Monx isn't banned, he has posted in the Z1 forum today, hopfully he can work things out with the admin team and get back to developing.

Hey,
He didnt use another rom as a base. Also while he didnt post pic's and a changelog he did post a video which mostly covered that and while this probably technically broke the rules it probably shouldnt of resulted in a flat out ban at least with out some sort of warning.

Your right. I should post more things about my ROMs. I figured the video showed it all. I had over 32k hits to my site in the last 10 days and I was so busy helping people with there thunderbolt and making roms. I didn't take the time to post pictures and a little more information. I just figured all my ROM videos said it all. As far as giving credit. I gave credit to the persons kernel I'm using. As far as base I used the Stock Rom that came with the phone. Even if it seems like another ROM on here. However most users I've heard that tried my GB ROM said its not like the other rom. However I shouldn't have to defend my self on this and I won't again. It hurts honestly after all I've done lately. I should be working on more projects and helping people then to sit here defending my self after last nights support from users I know I don't need to so I won't.
Who ever handles this tread please close it and once again thank you for unbanning me.
There was no ban, the thread was locked because XDA rules were not being followed. I warned him when I locked it in the thread to PM me. If you have any problems with this then please PM me. Thanks

I totally agree , but there is a thread in developement section that has had tons of talk , but has had NO DEVELOPEMENT in over 4 months which should have been closed until developement continues . But hasn't , but if anyone brings it up their post is deleted and mods threaten them . Just close the dead thread until developement is made . And once again this is just my opinion .

Everyone is entitled to there opinions, but yea i just personally think that if that thread isnt updated, why ruin the fun for the other roms? While i understand that the developer for it is currently busy and cant update it, why put down the other roms that are still being developed?

One XXX was locked down because of CoreDroid tweaks, there is a rom that hasnt been updated in 4 months that has about the same thing, a team has decided that One XXX has to be locked because it contains CoreDroid tweaks, the rom that hasnt been updated for 4 months is supported by the same team.

Because they were using stolen code, whether they knew it or not. If they want those threads reopened, I'm sure they could remove the stolen code and put it back out again. If you buy a stolen stereo and it gets found out, whether you know it or not, the stereo gets taken. Ignorance != innocence

Ok if that logic is correct , it was *****root who ported and fixed code so sense 4 could work on the Rezzy , and he clearly stated to not use his work in his thread , and yet every other sense 4 Rom used it , would that not also be stolen work and now be taken away ????? I think it would just be good if all devs would get along and not bicker over if some code got taken, now when i say this i dont mean its alright to take all the aspects of a rom and make basically the same exact thing, but if its a few bits of code that are the same or similar why take the whole thing down? If all devs were like that we would have quite a few problems, and nothing would be done. I also understand that giving credits would be nice too if any code was taken or used in a rom. Also if they want some code taken out why not PM the dev and ask for it to be taken out instead of having the whole thing locked down? This is just my opinion as well, so if you dont agree with it, I dont care.

This is a general discussion and RANT thread , everyone here is entitled to their own opinions here , we will not flame here , but yes I believe this thread was needed . As I posted in the op I'm tired of seeing my questions and my posts being deleted due to my opinion not being like . True, but really all of this should have been kept between the mods and devs. The users whining about it didn't help anything and only worsens the situation. Like we all don't know who you are talking about.
That had been the biggest problem with the rezound, devs doing their fighting and whatnot publicly. Devs like Chad and nils don't do that and if you look in their thread there isn't any of this garbage. They do their work and release it as they see fit, when they see fit.

*****root didn't fix any real code. He copied and pasted it from a leaked RUU for the Dinc LTE. He said that for the first month, no one could use his work, but after that he let other devs use it as a base.
Yes , but also realize that everyone can come to this thread and discuss or rant about anything from roms to that cop that wrote you a ticket , it doesn't matter that's why its in general discussion . I want a thread where all opinions are equal and someone should not be affraid of the mods coming down on them for their opinions .

Well his thread still states not to use it so if his printed words aren't enough then by all means use it , and it don't matter if he cut and pasted anything it was his and he said not to use it , and that is exactly what ****io did and its called a kang , which led to the closing of threads , but the same exact thing is done by others and its ok. That's a double standard .

That's because he took it, repackaged it, redistributed it, and sold it, and claimed it as his own. I don't have anything against either of the devs who had their threads closed, AFAIK, nobody's even said they did anything malicious, they may have just gotten caught in the cross fire, but that doesn't mean they get to keep breaking the rules.
Though I can see how you can be ok with people breaking the rules, seeing how you don't even follow your own. A few stars doesn't disguise the fact that you are still using names.

Actually I let the common adult figure out who I'm talking about , I'm not naming anyone it is you using common sense to see it . And once again one dev says not to use his stuff and it gets used - nothing happens , that same dev who broke the rule gets his stuff used and all hell breaks loose ,,,, why the double standard ? My memory is a little fuzzy seeing as how this happened a while back, but there was and still is proof if the mods have not deleted everything. Just because you have had positive experiences with some of their devs does not mean they are all good or even that most of them are good upstanding devs. There is no reason for that type of attitude either, if you cannot act like an adult and discuss things without attacking others then you should just leave the thread.
Unless you know exactly what you are talking about and were there when it happened, the phone being pretty much stolen, you may want to take your own advice.

Joelz has taken phones from people donating only to not release ROMs, drop the phone support and then go to sell them for profit. He is a part of team bamf still yes?
How about you STFU since they have had the proof of him doing so and turned a blind eye. I haven't supported team BAMF since the thunderbolt and won't long as they keep Joelz.

Actually it sounds like a good idea. So just to make sure I understand u right, if I wanted to talk about my favorite sports team or even shower curtains I can start a topic of some sort or pose a question and whoever wants to respond to me can do so? It sounds somewhat familiar. I think the iPhone appstore had a similar app of some sort a while back but apple pulled it for some reason. I could be wrong on that but the premise does sound familiar. I'm gonna give it a shot. I'll post back my impressions if ur interested.

It's a tad lonely in there right now. Looks like ill literally have the very first post regardless of topic. But hey, if it ever catches on and becomes a household app, I can say I was the first person to ever start a discussion. I do like the idea though. One thing I did notice is that it lacks a miscellaneous category if u want to discuss something that's sorta out of the ordinary or 'out there'. What if I wanna talk about wheat bread crust or maybe the chupacabra?? Just a suggestion. Maybe u can add a miscellaneous category in a future update

I just looked but I'm on the app so I must have missed it. I'll check the browser site for the page mentioned. But I did find carbon 4.3 sprint test... Didn't know that existed!

Running pretty smooth here. Data works great, SMS, MMS, WiFi... I don't have any complaints.

i apologize for the poor choice of forum posting.
delete this if you see fit. this forum is barely moving and is basically our (sprint G2) only dedicated home. I wasn't sure where else to post

Well a couple of reasons for that. The G2 for Sprint came out almost a month after the other G2 variants. Also, CDMA phones have always been the step child of Android Development.
Rest assure there is development for this phone. I have personally tested a few 4.3.x and 4.4 roms. The devs don't want to release half ass stuff. When the threads start here, they will be close to perfect.

its actually nice to hear that someone is working on it.
I had a Gnex and the development was explosive compared to the G2 (not surprisingly), but as I'm sure you can see in this forum, it looks pretty empty.
Without a doubt i am grateful for every dev who is working on Roms for our phone, but without any forum movement, it looks pretty stagnant. Your response is nice to see, and I am sure that I'm not the only one who is happy to hear that there is someone somewhere trying to help the bastard stepchild of the G2 world out
