[Q] 3G working on different frequencies??

Hi everyone,
I'm wondering if there's a way I can make my phone work with different frequencies than the ones that come with the phone (1700 and 2100MHz). Here in South America 3G is used on the 850MHz frequency, is there any chance I can change that? Installing a new ROM, changing some settings, or sthg?!!! Im kind of new with all this ROM things, so please try to help me with this Any help will be greatly appreciated

GS2 Korean M250K model

Hey guys,
I have searched throughout the forums but have not been able to find a solid answer. I just got a Korean variant of the SG2, model M250K. I reside in Canada and am on the Fido network which is the same as Rogers. Wondering if this is a software or hardware issue. I am on the stock Korean firmware. The phone is working except I cannot acquire 3G data. Is there anything I can do to let it acquire 3g speeds here, Fido uses the 850 frequency. As far as I have read the korean firmware does not use that frequency hence I am getting edge connections. Are all of the Samsung Galaxy S2 phones built the same ie, GSM phones all have the same abilities. Would flashing to another firmware allow me to connect to the 850 frequency. Basivcally is this a software issue or hardware issue. Thanks guys.

doubt about 3g frequencies

Hello!
Can somebody explain me why some phones can be flashed in order to change the 3g frequencies? And how can I know if my phone can be flashed to change his band? (I have an LG p705, optimus L7 factory-unlocked, but I bought it in China and I need it working on 850/1900 MHz, in Argentinian frequencies)
I cannot obtain information about it, and it created to me a big confusion. Why if they are hardware capable to use 850/1900 and 900/2100, the firmware locks his bands to only one of them? And how can I know if it is happening in my particular phone and I can use my phone only in 850/1900 Mhz?
Thanks!
Diego

[Q] Which Dual SIM Android phone for use with the Telstra network in Tasmania

Hi Everyone,
I am looking for a good quality high end smartphone running Android which supports Dual SIMs for the Telstra Network in Australia. More specifically I am living in Hobart Tasmania, and working in Port Arthur Tasmania (rural). I believe that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Dual SIM may suit my needs, and support my carriers frequencies. Here is a link to the frequencies used by my carrier, Telstra.
Any help and or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Kind Regards,
Davo
