Today today i was installing this rom and my phone is now bricked. It stucks on loading boot logo.
Now I'm trying to unbrick my phone following this guide but i have a problem.
I put my phone into Downloading mode (Volume Up+Volume Down+Power Button) , run Odin as administrator , but when i connect USB cable to PC , odin wont recognize my phone.
After connecting phone with PC , windows finds new device but it wont download drivers for it.

i was using cynogen mod for Ace then i recently flashed it with XXKA6 and the phone worked fine and then i try to flash it with DDKQ6 the asian version but the odin stuck at MBIB and i had to turn it off and now when i switch on my phone a mobile and a pc logo appears with an exclaimation mark in between.......i have tried to flash it with XXKA6 again but the process doesn't move ahead of MBIB ..............plz help me

srry for the post in wrong section as i m new.....phone is normaly going to download mode but on flashing it stuck at MIBIB i've tried many multilple file as well as single file firmwares
might be kies running in background, or usb port problem, or ur pc problem, or ur usb cable problem.
so close kies, kill its process via taskmanager, try other usb port, try other pc/laptop, try other usb cable.
I have the problem like that. using odin and stuck in MBIB. I have that problem when using windows xp and just granted as normal user.
then I login as administrator, and there is no problem any more.
Well , download a stock rom from samfirmware.com and flash it using odin.Remove the battery to shut down the phone , the boot it and go to download mod
hello guys,i have a problem here,and i can't figure out how to fix it..the problem is,i can't connect my phone to my laptop with flash mode,everytime i connect there's a pop up shown "SEMC flash device" and then my laptop is freezing,so i have to force shut down it..i did search on google and here on XDA forums,but none are works,my laptop are still freezing everytime i connect the phone into the flash mode,i did what they told,like cleaning system with ccleaner,reboot into safe mode and try to connect into the flash mode,but still not working...
this is what i do :
1. clean with CCleaner
2. reboot laptop into the safe mode
3. when windows are on,i turn off my phone,then connect it to my laptop with flash mode
4. pop up "SEMC flash device" shown
5. laptop stuck
did i make any wrong step there?
as you can see on my third step,i just connect the phone with the flash mode (hold turn down volume button and connect the USB) do i need to run any programs to install the SEMC flash device?
is there's a way i can install the SEMC flash device without connect my phone?because i tried many usb_flash driver exe files i found,but none are works..
or maybe a repair for windows to fix it?
FYI I'm running on acer laptop,with windows xp sp 3,and i've tried on my brother's laptop with windows 7,but still the same,PC companion,ggsetup,ADB driver is installed correctly i think,since i can root my phone,and put some tweaks..
anyone can help me?please?
I can't access flashtool or SEUS,and that's not good..

that's what I do after with the normal mode fail,and because on many sites i found about this problem said so,they said if i keep freezing on the normal mode,then i should go to the safe mode and try again..
but they did it,and I didn't,mine are keep freezing,no matter what mode is
nevermind,,i just upgrade to windows 7 and it works well now..you can close this useless thread now sir,,
my phone freeze on the first screen with the galaxys2 logo and the yellow trigon...!!recovery mode mode dont work and when i am going in download mode the pc cant reccognice the phone..!!i have allready install the drivers...!!i want to install an official rom but odin cant see the phone.!!help
If you think you get working drivers installed, put your computer online, put your phone on download mode, plug the cable, and wait for it to install.
This is for windows 7, otherwise install the Samsung usb drivers again

That's hard.
If you do not get the PC recognize your phone in download mode, you have a real problem.
Try another USB port and cable.
Try to connect your phone to another PC.
Maybe you have to give it to a service center for repair.
Is your phone already out of warranty?
I had a similar problem where it freezes on that screen.
My problem was I installed an ICS rom with old version kernel.
Once I installed the latest CF-Root the boot was successful.
If Odin can't see your phone and you can still go into Download mode, I would check to make sure that Kies is not open and no Kies process is live (Task Manager / Processes), I think it's call "KiesTrayAgent", just kill the process and any process that has a Kies word in it.
Otherwise try another PC.

I have a Galaxy S3 i9300... Today I got the OTA for 4.1.1 Jellybean I updated and now I lost my root!!! (still have SuperSU app but doesnt work or gets uninstalled)
Now I am trying to root it again but Odin3 v1.85 wont recognize my Phone in download mode!! Recognizes it when phone is on but not when its off!! Downloaded latest Kies and had it closed from task manager and all its related apps off too but Still odin wont recognize it in download mode!! been tryin since i did the Darn UPDATE! PLZ HELP :S

reinstall drivers, try a different usb port. if using a desktop, use the ports on the back of the PC

Galaxy S3 not being recognized in odin in download mode
Could someone please assist.
My rooted Galaxy S3 phone (FW v4.1.2) is stuck at the Samsung startup screen after installing a font app from the app store
To resolve I have tried:
1. The recovery screen - doing a factory reset and reboot
2.. Reflash through ODIN.
I can get get the phone into download mode but ODIN will not recognize the phone in Download mode (Funny that phone is recognised by Odin at the stuck Samsung boot screen)
- I have unistalled and reinstalled KIES and USB drivers
- I am using the stock USB cable
- Tried different USB ports on computer
- Tried on different computers
The problem may be Windows driver related. Because phone gets stuck at the Samsung startup screen, all processes of driver installation do not conclude successful. "MTP USB Device" shows error in Windows Device manager, USB composite deivce.
Uninstalled and reinstalled these a couple of times without success.
Please assist

Actually fixed my own Question....
My phone was in download mode and was not being recognized by my computer my windows 7 computer. I pressed the usb icon, where a box popped up saying that there was an unknown device. You could find this in device manager.
I then went to device manager to update the driver instead of pointing the device directly to the driver when i clicked browse my computer for software then it shows a location and option to let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer then a box pops up showing model above that there is a little check box uncheck that two boxes will appear with manufacturer and model
Scroll samsung electronics and model samsung mobile composite device that is what you want to update the driver to...
I pulled the battery then re-entered download mode and windows to over installing the rest now it works fine. I would attach images but it will not let me for some reason. if anyone can help with that I will do it later.
THIS COULD POSSIBLY help with devices not being found on computers in bootloader or just on rom loaded and running..

have you got the necessary drivers also you need to stop all kies activities.

Hey guys, i know it's a bit late now, but i had exactly the same problem with my gt-i9300 (got stuck on samsung splash screen and odin didn't recognize it in download mode) and just realised that everytime, i connected my phone to my PC in download mode, a message would appear that "Gadget Device" (or something like that) was connected. Then i searched in my device manager for the name of it (i found it under USB-Devices) and uninstalled the driver of it. As i connected it again with odin started it would install the driver automatically and *swoosh* odin recognized it.
A year and some later after the last post and I seem to be having this problem as well... I believe it was due to a bad flash at very low battery level which ended up in encryption failure ya da da, factory reset, clear/format everything and flash custom rom from SD because any other connection would not work.... then managed to get windows (many flavors inc. 7, 8 and 10) to connect as MTP or in USB debugging mode but Odin mode (download) just won't do anything... i put the phone in DL mode, nothing happens, no windows connection sounds, no changes in devices manager, even when searching for new hardware. I'd be very interested to know if anyone has had anything like that. I'd really like to flash stock to go back to a custom rom, flash twrp to replace cwm but all seems to no avail if i can't get a connection while in DL mode.
tried to install adb fastboot but also nada since no connection is being made.... might be something with DL mode gone awry with the bad flash... long story but OTA update from current ROM decided on its own to push update even though battery was at 5% and no user interaction ever happened...
we'll see what happens...

I have a Galaxy S plus (GT I9001), I installed TIGER-JELLY BEAN v8 recently, which was working fine. But phone was lagging a lot so I decided to install the stock rom again. I installed Kies(latest version) with drivers and connected my phone to my PC, but it was not detected by Odin. Every time I got Samsung Composite USB Device driver installation failed. So I searched and installed drivers from Here and Here. But they didn't worked either. I tried again after changing USB Cable but still no luck. Then I installed Kies in my Laptop and tried to connect the phone. Still it wasn't recognized.
Things were not working with downloading mode and Stock rom tar file cannot be flashed with recovery mode. So I searched a converter for .tar to flash able .zip file and found THIS . I installed this tool and tried to convert the tar file to zip. Didn't noticed that it require knowing "Mount Point", so I converted the tar file to zip without changing the mount point and copied the file to internal storage of phone and flashed the zip file. After that phone restarted , and stuck at Samsung Logo.
New I can't even to recovery Mode, nothing happens when I keep Pressing Vol Up + Power. Phone starts and stuck at samsung logo. Odin was already not detecting the phone so I tried connecting the phone on Ramdump Mode and some how drivers were installed and odin detected it correctly. But odin can't flash phone in ramdump mode so it didn't worked.
So now the problems I am facing are:
1- Phone is stuck at samsung logo, can't go in recovery mode.
2- Odin not detecting phone in downloading mode.
Is there something what I can do to fix this?
