I would like to kick start a thread for any application installed in the latest SE rom by mystery man. The rom seem stable nevertheless some apps seem do not really prepared for the changes. (i mean from WM2003 to WM2003SE). Let begins........
1) Battery Pack Pro v1.11-will make your today screen screwed up. How? Go Start-Settings-Today-Items-then click OK and closed it-you will get what i meant here.

Wisbar advance freezes and requires soft reset after telephone has been used/or whilst attempting to dial.
XCPU Skalar - you have to update to version 3.85, lower version keeps system to hang
Tillanosoft Pockettweak - update to 4.2.7, lower version destroys font settings
PocketZenPhone - update to latest beta 11 version, older versions are not able to switch phone on again
Can someone tell me what is the function of "Today timeout" which constantly showed 4hrs at Start-Setings-Today?
Well why must that function included in the today settings? The problem is now and then my today screen showed nothing or clean even though i unchecked the Today timeout box to disable it.
After all i suspect something is not right wif the Today timeout option and nothing to do wif Battery Pack.
Anyone experience the above problem? :roll:
Calligrapher 7.4 (just only 7.4 ,older not has this problem)
after i install and use for 15 sec. ,then screen is locked up cannot tap anymore but Button still work.
I do soft reset and disable it then 15 sec ,screen lock again.
Only one way to solve it by using cradle sync with desktop and select remove calligrapher and then soft reset ,it will work normally again.
It may from defect in version 7.4 or conflict with XDA II.
PLease take care ,if you decide to use this version

I used this weekend (in fact starting friday evening) to upgrade my T-Mobile MDA2 from ROM 1.72 (radio 1.14) to ROM 2.xx and radio 1.18.
Although I did a lot of reflashing up to now - I want to thank you all guys for this forum, because everything I've learnt about my PPC is from here. It is shame that I cannot contribute via paypal because Bulgaria is not included in their country list.
Now.. Here is what I've experienced with my mda:
I upgraded from 1.72 T-Mobile WWE to 2.02ti... All cool - until I started to load the device with programs. I mean - it is cool and fast and nice and colorful..
A guy mentioned that SE boots faster - I can's say that - the phone would show the first boot picture, then fast will change to 2nd and then (in 2 to 5 seconds) the bluetooth led will flash (if at all) at least 5 times and then it shows the today screen or will stay there forever :-(
I understood that:
* xscallar 2.8x would not work - it freezes the system;
* sbp pocketplus 2.1 would hang the system or/and the today screen;
* sprite backup 3.0 hard-resets the system (3 in 2 times after finishing scheduled/normal backup);
* gprs monitor 2.12 would hang the today screen;
* cleartype is a way worse than in 1.60wwe
* if the system works, compared to 1.72 - it is flying! but :-(....
These problems appeared both in 2.02ti and in 2.06, no matter what extended rom I install (if I install any at all - because thru tears I tried that one too ;-) )
The (X) sign for closing programs disappears constantly and some programs could not be closed or [ok]'d :-(
Bluetooth 1.5x would either not work properly or would not work at all.
about the extended rom - i noticed this:
MMS15024_WWE_Hima_OzUp.sa.CAB, despite the lower version compared to MMS2.0.0.13 incorporates in the outlook folder and doesn't take additional space in the today screen. Also it provides sending restrictions as 100K, 200K, MAX - ;-) which is kewl 'cause I missed the ability of my SonyEricsson P900 to send unlimited in size MMS messages.
CallerIDB10, provided with 2.x SE versions cuts about 4 pixels from the bottom of the CLIP pictures and I don't like it - it has no new features or anything
For conclusion:
I liked the look of SE versions - it is really neat and fast - when it works.
But non of my really needed sofware would work as expected.
I went back to T-Mobile 1.72 (edsub's version) and I will tell you guys - there is nothing as stable and fast as it is.
This is my first post here, and I read this forum for more than 8 months. You guys rock!

I had a big problem with 2.06-mystery man . Stuck on the every second
boot . So I had to do Hard Reset all the time.
After that I switched to 2.02 and all I can say its the most stable ROM
I know from 1.60 .
The reason I am posting here is :
NO PROBLEM WITH Battery Pack Pro v1.11 on the ROM 2.02.t1WWE .

I've notices that 2.06 sometimes freeses during boot when SD-card is inserted. It boots normally when SD-card is out and inserted when device finishes booting.
Cleartype in 2.06 can be tuned to look fine with cleartype tuning tool from Microsoft. I can upload it if needed.

Spb PocletPlus 2.1 is stable in my 2.06SE. The problem i encountered is the unstable widcomm bluetooth stack ( 1.5.0.801 ) which always "could not correctly initialized - BTTrayCE.exe) . can some one post some registry tweak for this?

Phone Profiles is another one....
Using Phone Profiles 7.5 or 8.0, there is a dialog on reboot, 'Can't Find Window", (something like that), and it will not continue booting, only solution is a hard reset...
I can confirm the Calligrapher 7.4... will lock during boot, hard reset

Mine is working fairly well... I did notice the same problem you have, but I got around it by holding in the reset button until it reset itself (normally 5 secs or so). It resets fine every time. This is a pain compared to 1.66.00WWE. I haven't tried 1.72 yet. I would like to persist with the 2.06 version to see what bugs it has.

UPDATE:- Installing XCPUScalar Version 2.85 has completely cleared up the reset hang problem. I have configured it to auto start on soft reset, and minnimise on start. I have now reset well over 10 times and it resets as it should. I have XCPUScalar set to a min speed of 400MHz though...
I have only one problem with wm2003se 2.06 - at every call speaker mode turns on automaticly

Thanks man ! the tuner is great but still the font is bad in 2.02t1 it was much better with 2.06 but i changed it because it get stuck on reset!
could you please post the clear type file from 2.06?

Yeap i encountered this problem too. Any solution so far? Or shall i reflash my rom to dcs one 2.02? Would it solve this problem?

My list of problematic programs in SE
1. Mamaich's "Contact Button", which I miss dearly.
2. Pocket Zen Phone.
3. BTtools freeze Today screen. (not needed for functional purposes, only used to turn BT off automatically)
4. Still have to use EzWAP for MMS
5. Camera switch screen back to Portrait.
another topic, SAME PROBLEM, ON ANDROID NIKI100 was abandoned, did you not realize, unless you want to play with the phone, even for a short time because the battery lasts about 2 to 3 hours, is called whenever Has no camera does not open documents for editing, does not work headphones, does not connect via USB, afffff, is only toy .... want to appearance of the hero? use the pointsense, something that developer starts and does not end .....
Battery holds for 2-3 hours if you desactivate the sleep mode. if not, it will hold the same as in winmo.
The camera works with an android app from marketplace(free)

In sleep mode Nike don t work well. With latest zimage (if you don t want freezes) when android go to sleep it can t wake up. Camera don t work wih any application. Camera apps don t works on Nike. And yes, android on Nike its only a toy

In sleep mode Nike don t work well. With latest zimage (if you don t want freezes like the olds) when android go to sleep it don t wake up.So you need to set pm.sleep to 3 or 4 and it is a very battery draining
I use an Ion rom who wor greatly : only data and camera doesn't work...

Our handsets are old. No developers for Niki. Android dev. for winmo after 2 years still is plenty of bugs and problems and now seem stopped, so its better to ship an android phone :-( No more new roms for niki, lately the Niki of the last developers get broken, so maybe its time to change

Hi,
for me here, nearly all Cupcake (1.5) Builds have working Data. But i couldn't find any Combination of Basefiles and Donut/Tattoo Builds with working Data. The Data icons are visible on the top bar, but obviously no Data Flow in both directions. I didn't try out too much on this, but if you connect to the Phone via ADB there's no PPP interface after running "ifconfig". My personal guesses at the moment are, that there are some problems with Permissions or /dev files. First steps could be, to compare structure and files of a Cupcake Image with a Donut Image. But that's just a guess...
Unfortunately, i personally don't have the time at to do this by now.

I've bought myself a iPhone and therefore I won't use my old niki as a phone, but I've been using it as GPS (yes, I have an external GPS receiver). My question is: Is there a way to install a lite ROM that maybe disable the phone function but keep the device running for some app like GPS?

Enjoying your iPhone? I'm not sure what my next phone will be, but the iPhone is a serious candidate, together with the HTC Desire.
In WinMo there is something called a Comm Manager.
In my 6.5 ROM in can be found in [start] - [utilities] - [Comm Manager], but this can (and possibly will) be different in other ROMs.
Anyway; here you can turn off [Phone], [3G], [Data Connection] etc, and only turn on the [Bluetooth] setting.
or, even simpler: you can remove the SIM card, and in will not connect the phone to any network, but you will still be able to use it as a GPS device.
Or play Solitaire.
Or use is as a Camera.
Or use it as a coaster.

but also between the normal operation can not use my touch screen
sometimes i need 10-20 few times more than 30 tries to get back in system...
im on blanc build actually

It seems to be a hardware problem rather than software or Android problem Did you remember if your HD has fallen in the last days? Try to make it work in Windows or try to hard reset your Phone if everything goes wrong. Maybe you are lucky. With my previous phone I had similar problems.
it isnt a hardware-problem, in windows mobile is no problem, i have tried the last 30 minutes without freeze
and no, my hd2 has not fallen, till yesterday 5 pm were everything ok, without any freeze in last months
I get that occasionally too. I have just reported sometimes as many as 3 times before it behaves.

Im using evo kernel (20?, oct) and the android 2.2.1 build.
okay....it was a silent death of my TS ...
now under windows mobile wont work too (with original wm build...)

iAm also having this problem, iThought it was my android build at first but iTried a different one and it still continued to freeze. Then iUsed wmo for a whole day and the freezing attacks continued.
I am having the same problem myself!
Whenever I use the red power button, whether it is for waking up out of standby or using a long press to activate the Phone Options menu, the touch screen stops working.
I have found that waking up the phone, then quickly putting it back to sleep and waking it up again gives me about a 90% chance of it working. So I have to press the power button 3 times in quick succession to wake up my phone now.
I hope I won't have any serious long term effects on my phone, but I'm definitely going to be talking to HTC and T-Mobile about this soon.
it happenned with me also when im using 16 gb memory that come from the phone. but when im using smaller one (8gb class 2), it work fine. maybe 16 gb took long time to read.my suggestion try it with smaller capacity or you can buy new one with higher class(6 or maybe 10)

iRecommend selling your HD2 and buying an iPhone.
Have you wifi on ? If I use wifi or wifi hotspot then after the phone wakes up I always get a touchscreen freeze it's definitely not the hardware.
Tried G sensor fix? i.e. editing AK8973Prms.txt
This has something to do with android on the hd2 eventually causing it, I work for tmo n see all the issues with the hd2 n this has never been an issue so I thought it was just me when it happened to me I just exchanged my hd2 and its fixed but now I see more people having the issue n the only thing thats common is we use android

iRecommend for you not to replay if you dont have a solution to the problem at hand.
I think it's due to the G Sensor. I have meet this before and have some test on my HD2. I found that if some application running on G Sensor, it may cause the freeze, ie GPS, Google Map， Compass. I am not sure this is due to my setting.
I shut down the G Sensor by Gscript and the script below found in XDA and seems this help. I hope this can help you too.
1. Create a script name 'Stop'.
SU is required, input
mv /system/bin/akmd /system/bin/akmd2
killall akmd
save this script and run, it will shut down the G Sensor.
2. Create a script name 'Start'
SU is required, input
mv /system/bin/akmd2 /system/bin/akmd
/system/bin/akmd
save this script, and you can run this to restart the G Sensor while u need it again.
I dont' know whether there is some widget or application to control the G Sensor better, but you can try this first to check if G Sensor cause this problem.
I found if shut down G Sensor, the GPS won't work. If anyone have idea how to make GPS work without G Sensor please advice.

Turn your WIFI off then put it to sleep, works for me 100% of the time.
Same problem here. All ROMS based on HTC Sense freeze. Press the turn off button once and wait for 5 or 10 mins, and then the phone doesn't come back from lock anymore. This issue doesn't seem to be happening with any Nexus one Roms.
I have tried all possible solution, WM roms change, SetCpu, etc...

If press turn off button while it's freeze, it's hard to come back from lock. While it's not freeze, press any key while the phone is locked, if the screen is not come back, I still can touch the screen and the unlocked screen will be come back again.
I think it's a problem that the screen won't turn on immediately after we press the button, but at that moment, the phone can receive our control by touch the screen. If it's freeze, touch screen is not work, so keep dark. But if it's not freeze, the screen will be on. So I think it's the problem to solve the freeze problem.

Hello guys i need your help.
I used my phone for i while HTC HD2 and suddenly after i goed from Android 3.5 to Windows mobile 6.5 touch wont work.
All keys working display working perfectly no crashes on screen but touch wont work ? ?

Assume the very common digitizer issue, try pressing screen near edges around end button & see if get some screen response.
Also try a hard reset or original wm6.5 inc spl & radio to help eliminate software glitch .
