WARNING : USING S-OFF METHOD YOU WILL GET VIBRATIONS ON BOOT !
They are caused because of a bug in the radio and can't be fixed! So decide if you are ok with it before using Rumrunner S-OFF!
Well this is not just another S-OFF thread like you see around here. This is THE S-OFF thread !
I present you with an S-OFF for our device.

Great! Can't wait to try this out. Did you already try to flash kernel and recovery from recovery? So that we can include kernel in ROM.

OMG, I think I need to read more carefully next time. I thought, that the latest version at http://rumrunner.us/ made the S-OFF, so I run it... Now I can boot with several vibration. But this made me laugh: "Wait 30 seconds, power on device, pray, run rumrunner again."
I'm waiting for the S-OFF now. I hope that it will fix the "vibratory boot".

Hahaha,i didn't see the post by ckpv5 on thread in general and also got vibrations. Now you didn't read mine and also got vibrations. Who is next ? xD It won't fix it as i still have them, beaups told me that the issue is strange and that it probably due some debugging code HTC added to our device. But we can try to find the cause. He will update the rumrunner as soon as possible,so give him some time.
EDIT :
I have just created an updater-script,ziped the kernel and flashed it via recovery. It's working !
I know that the devs here can make updater script easy, but i have a urge to contribute as much as i can, even with the smallest things. Sorry.
So here is the updater-script i used.

He modified one of the block partition from my device : mmcblk0p7 and i used dd to write it. Since mmcblk0p7 contains some sensitive information like IMEI,etc i can't really share it. So i am not sure will he update the rumrunner or just clean the file and create a script for writing. But we will have it.

Checked the boot.img inside the zip, it's the M7 boot.img. If it works for One V with that boot.img so I guess no harm trying.
But it takes a very long time to "pouring". Just completed pouring 1 & 2.
Will advise progress later.
EDIT :
Really take a very long time to complete and sadly it was unsuccessful.
Will try again tomorrow with stock ROM ... time to sleep
Sorry that I won't test right now, but I need a reliability that it won't brick my phone because I need it very badly and don't have money for a new one...

PLEASE make sure to thank the developer for the dedication to his ROM
Please] do not clutter the Development thread with non development-related chatter
FAQ
Q Why a special Q&T Thread for a specific ROM??
A The bigger a ROM development thread gets, the greater the chance that posts are being placed in this thread that are not related to the ROM development itself, e.g. problems with flashing, installation, bugs, things not working etc. However this is understandable, it's not according to the guidelines of XDA for Development sections. Therefore the main goals of the ROM specific Q&T threads is to avoid this cluttering of the original develpment thread with these OT posts by redirecting the posters to the ROM specific Q&T thread and also to relieve the developer from answering these post, so he can dedicate his time to developing.
Q How to move my post to the Q&A/T thread?
A Copy the text of your post in the dev's thread, got to the Q&A/T thread and paste it there. After having done that, go back to the dev's thread, edit your post and change the text into: moved to Q&A/T thread, preferably accompanied with a link to this thread.
Q When I'm asked to move my post to the Q#A/T thread, do I have to do that?
A When you're asked to move your post, there will always be given an explanation by the OP of the Q&A/T, e.g. your post is not development related (f.i. SD card problems, etc), so please be so kind to move your post. If you want to help the dev to keep his original thread as clean as possible from OT posts, then the answer is, of course, YES. Although we cannot force you to move your post, it's highly recommended to do so
Q Where can I download this ROM and How do I install?
A You can find the link to download and installation instructions HERE. Pay close attention to this post, everything required for a successful flash is listed right here. If you fail to follow the instructions or meet the requirements for installation, you could run into some problems.
Q What are the known issues with these ROM's?
A See THE Developer's thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2198480
Q How’s battery life?
A I see this question asked repeatedly across all ROMS. Honestly there is no way to give you an answer based on a ROM. There are too many variables in question and results vary from user to user and device to device. Battery life is going to depend on age and condition of your battery, your use habits with your device, installed apps, tweaks, settings, etc...
Q How do I...
A Ask your questions and report your issues in this thread. You will receive a response and hopefully get you back up and running this ROM to it's fullest
Explaining the purpose of our Q&A/T threads for specific ROM's to posters.
"Hi dear followers of this ROM,
in this post I will explain the goal of this specific thread created for this ROM with the permission of the Developer of this specific ROM.
This is a statement made in the Q&A/T template thread:
"While our forum has slowly been morphing, the one area we would like to keep original is Development
The goal is to alleviate the OT banter that occurs within any rom. While the XDA forum continues to grow, we need to help users work within the guidelines created by XDA. Over the last couple of years the average rom being created, has become a free for all chat thread. There tends to be much infighting and mod/developer cleaning.
The idea of this template is to create a Questions and Answers for each rom. This is in no way asking for Development to be moved here, rather any and all conversation that is non Development related to your conjoined Q&A."
This means that non-development related posts, should be posted - with the permission of the Dev - in this thread. What are the most common Off Topic posts, that should be posted in this Q&A/T thread?
1. Battery life related posts
2. Will this app work with this ROM
3. SD Card related problems
4. How do I dowmload and install this ROM, etc, etc
Hope to have given you enough information,
kindest regards, Kuzibri
Troubleshooting
First things first.
\When posting issues, we need to know the basics,
1. What was the last rom you were on?
2. Are you S-ON or S-OFF?
3. What recovery are you using? 4EXT or CWM?
4. Is your boot loader Locked or unlocked?
5. Did you flash the firware update?
6. Did you check the MD5DUM when you downloaded the rom?
7. Did you experience an error when flashing?
8. Have you had issues on other roms?
9. have you thoroughly red the first few posts of the Development thread?
10. Have you flashed any rom before? Or is this your first time?
11. Did you wipe or superwipe?
12. Have you correctly formatted your SDCARD?
I will post links to the How to's here soon.
Great job on all the Q&A threads kuzibri!

Hey
I have a question,
I want to install the new rom (ones chavy will reveal it) but i want to format all my SD.
I connected my device to the computer and i saw a lot of files that was belong to applications that not install anymore. I think there is a lot of crap in my device and when the new rom will be release, i want to format all of it and install the rom.
What is the easiest way to do that?
I am asking the first question in this new thread. Applause! :victory:

In 4ext recovery, there is a format menu that you can select to format internal and external sdcards.
there are lots of tools to use in 4ext. If you need further help with formatting let me know.
Congrats for being the first post for questions. also I've still got some errors with the new version. Stupid robot voice again! but I should have it up any day now.
The aroma installer has a lot more options including superwipe and much more!
I worked on it all night!
It's even faster and smoother!
+1 for chevy but if your s-off I'd say run a ruu that's the most perfect way to clean your phone if it has errors the ruu will fix everything then flash the necessary things and you'll have a smooth experience

Thanks for the answers.
ravike - i don't know what is a ruu, lol, so i will stick with chevy's way. By the way, my device is indeed S-OFF (i bought it that way).
Chavy - i just saw that you publish the new (and the last ) rom, THANKS!
so, if i understend correctly, in order to format the phone and install the rom i need to:
1. make a backup and copy it to SD-CARD (on the external one)
2. go to 4ext recovery - to the "wipe/format" menu and select "format sdcard" (i didn't found "format internal and external sdcards")
3. after my device is formated, i will connect it to the computer and copy your new rom (is the rom that install right now will appear after the formatting? i know from the PC that if i format it, the windows will not appear).
4. Wipe
5. flash firmware
6. wipe
7. Flash rom
is it the correct order?
The PH85IMG.zip you flashed after s off that's the ruu lol... Run that it's more easier if you want to clean your device

Omg you did not state your source of cwm and root/unroot. I know the root/unroot is by bin4ry and you used it without permission from him or link back to his thread. Same goes to recovery. I can't see why you're grambling about :
- he made his own batch, so did all those "yet another root script" using a known VULNERABILITY IN LINUX KERNEL, which is not to be claimed by someone from the android community.
- he produced a localized batch (Italian / English / German) => that's his work and his addition to the rooting script.
- he's trying to help, hence multiple people who couldn't sort their ways with other root scripts or couldn't handle downflashing their kernel / boot / reflashing a newer kernel
last of all, he's trying to LEARN, are you against LEARNING ? Who are you and where's your contribution except for those "burn the witch" grumpy posts of yours ?

Rule 12. Using the work of others. If you are developing something that is based on the work of another Member, you MUST first seek their permission, and you must give credit to the member whose work you used.

This is called COURTESY, do I remind you about what OPEN SOURCE (licensing / contributers) is made of ? Unless stated otherwise the code he reused was under the sentence "feel free to modify, re-use, redistribute, etc..." feel free to PM me, I'll show you where. It wasn't under any appliance of the Gnu/GPL, tho putting this sentence in his release means you DO assign a licence, as for say, you don't state anything, then no ones able to do anything (not saying which licence = means you KEEP YOUR RIGHTS on it)

If he can't post but he's willing to share his work, does it hurt you ? no ! general sections for a lot of devices (P / U / SOLA / GO) well... DO YOU SEE similar sections for DEV ? "Xperia P, U, Sola, Go Developpement forums" ? SHOW ME ? and show me there's nothing else RELEASED under general.

Hey, I have a small problem.. I used a root app called Soft Keyz and now both my notification bar and soft keys are missing.. I did a little research and realized that it has to do with a borked systemui.apk. So could you please give me your systemui.apk by any chance? I'm kinda screwed here without the soft keys.. Only method known yet is to flash stock firmware from here.
And Xolo wont help if we have a software issue. Software is supplied by intel and xolo supplies it. Colo engineers also seem to be novice.
I luckily had an opportunity to meet their software manager. I asked him if he could provide a unlocked bootloader, he was unaware of what a bootloader is. They only distrubute OTA Updates.

Yeah, I had a similar experience about their engineers. They mentioned to me too, that the Bootloader is not in their hands.. Well, that's what happens when you try a budget company. All we can hope for is updates, now..
I was all set to buy the Galaxy Grand Quattro but i thought I'd try Xolo, for the Processor and the beautiful screen.. Guess I should've stuck to my instincts
Anyway, thanks for the files.. Everything's back to normal now.. Cheers..

---------- Post added at 11:55 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:28 PM ----------
Guys! Now that we finally rooted the phone, let's try doing the one thing that can make our devices fulfill their worth.. That is finding a way to run windows 7 or Windows 8 on the phone. I'm not talking about wp7 or wp8 but the actual windows.. The phone has an x86 processot. So why can't this be done?! 2Ghz and 1GB ought to be enough for a smooth experience.. Guys, please try to work on this..
IT doesnt seem fake either

THIS QUESTION IS TO ANYONE ABLE TO HELP ME:
Omate 1/8, received this past week in the US. Currently flashed to Imperium v1.1.0, but botched the second step to retrieve original backed up IMEI and the 1900 Baseband... and now can't even get in to MTKdroidtools to fix this.
Forgive some newbie questions, and if there are better places to direct this, could you point me?
My questions below can be answered singly if you do not know the answer to the others.
BACKGROUND: Learning that the TrueSmart was unprotected, I flashed the Imperium, but then screwed up (I think) by backing up the newly flashed version on MTKdroidtools, (which I imagine might have overwritten information from the initial backup?). Later, in trying to reenter the flashing setup, I did something wrong, because now it sends me a note of a few words in a strange foreign script but ending in ABD! If I click it or try to close it, it bounces me out, such that I cannot get back in to the MTKdroidtools program.
GOALS: I would like to accomplish three things:
1) to reenter on my device my correct IMEI(s). I have the single IMEI number that came written on the device if I can find how to reenter it.
2) to return to the most recent version of TrueSmart until Imperium is sorted out
3) to add any patch as needed to make safe this version of TrueSmart, if it is not
QUESTIONS:
1) If I carry out the steps you listed above, will this return me from Imperium to the most recent version for the TS?
2) will my IMEI return in doing this or will I need to find a way to manually reenter it, and if so, how?
3) is this version above already patched (if I am putting that right) or do I then need to add a patch & if so could you point me in the right direction?
finally,
4) IFF it is necessary to get back into MTKdroidtools, can I hard reboot my watch, download anew the Imperium zipped folder and would this get me by whatever mistake I made that sent me to the "odd foreign script ABD!" That is currently preventing my entry?
(I feel like I felt as a small child when I fell asleep on chewing gum and now have it all over me. )

The only difference is I have not had time to update the ALL Tools zip with the new SPTools version and don't specifically link any given firmware. I'm not only deving on the device but acting RC for all the x201's as well. Pretty much everything is indexed in the [INFO] Everything thread.

The main issue is we STILL don't have a dedicated section so even what should be a read first sticky like the INFO thread keep getting buried due to there being a ton of other Android smartwatches sharing this forum. I'm trying to keep the info thread at least no more than 48hrs out of date so if you come up with something, check that thread first.
In short. No toes stepped on, just multiple guides covering essentially the same thing is going to add to the already insane levels of confusion.

Now that US backers are receiving their watches, good guides like yours will be desperately needed.

Has anyone gotten any form of tethering to work on this phone yet? (either by modding the native hotspot or a separate app)
Has anyone tried this MOD on their M9 and gotten it to work?
Have you tried flashing the script?

No, because it has framework edits. That could be a disaster. On the other hand, I have a backup... nothing to lose i guess, except time.

Hello,
You might want to look into /system/customize there are two files in the sprint rom that contain the APNs in an encrypted format (cust_cdmaconn.dat and cust_gsmconn.dat) . I was unable to decrypt them, but found that simply deleting them reverts the APN settings to the ones located in /system/framework/framework-res.apk > xml > apn.xml
I have been changing my APNs for a while and find it easier to change them directly in the framework-res.apk. I have an old version of apktool and a few bat files that I use. I can upload them if you need them or can't decompile the framework-res.apk yourself. Hope that is what your looking for.

Hello,
Glad you got it, I did understand you have a mod coming, was only trying to add some new knowledge I found out about the M9. This thing seems much different then the M8. Interested to see how you did it.

yeah, @chas123 figured this out a while ago, shortly after posting his M8 mod...so now in our M8 ROM (and upcoming M9 ROM) we are deleting cust_cdmaconn.dat, and changing the apn in fwres & also another edit in telephony-common.

Will you all also have a way to WiFi tether if keeping stock and rooted?

for this hack, u need to be on a deodexed ROM...I'll be posting a stock rooted deodex ROM, if you want to go that route
Thanks for the reply about the hack and the deodexed ROM. If that ends up being the best solution to get tethering, then I will go that route. My question, as I am unclear, is can that ROM then be applied without the loss of the customization and app settings on the phone? Also, future OTA updates would not work as they would have to be applied via your releases, correct?

But no more "broken" than rooting was now. If you used the existing procedures to lock, restore stock recovery etc. then you could take OTA and reunlock, etc.
That would be the only way to get the firmware from the next OTA (until we s-off). Right?

Exactly, it makes no difference how big or small of a change to system, ota will be broken.
Even after s-off, you will have to flash a untouched system and stock recovery to install ota.
