Hey XDA'ers,
I've got a quick question about Tasker,
I've been using it for quite a while and am beginning to get a hang of it.
Since I'm a pretty social guy, is there something I could do to make it automatically post a picture on Facebook, automatically tweet or direct message somebody at a certain date or time on Twitter, or maybe broadcast a certain message on Blackberry Messenger?:silly:
Is that do-able or not? And if it is possible is there a tutorial on how to do this? Or could somebody explain to me how I'd do this?
Thanks

Hi,
Very new to Forum, Android and Tasker so any help would be good help.
I am trying to find a way that i can get a notification every time i get a meeting request (could be from a number of emails). At the moment it just sits in the email list until i open it an accept the request.
Would there be a way that i could use tasker to create a pop up notification when i get an email that is a meeting request?
It is way past my level of knowledge at this point but i am still very keen to give it a go with a bit of guidance.
Thank you for any help
Hello!
I'm here because I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505 and sometimes I get notifications on the notification bar, coming from Facebook App, saying that somebody's birthday is today and to write on his/her mural... No, it is NOT coming from my android calendar, it is really coming from Facebook App, and I don't know how to choose the people that it notify's me... It's always people that I know outside facebook, but some that I know do not appear too... I don't know how the app chooses who to show, I want to choose, or know how it chooses so I can "influence" it! :crying:
I would be TRULY GRATEFUL to the one who can answer me. I give 1$ though paypal to the first answering right!
Please people help :crying:
Hi all,
Sorry if this has been asked before but I've searched around and I think the keywords are a little too generic to find what I'm trying to do.
When I'm using the messaging application (SMS) to speak to somebody else on an Android phone it keeps switching between SMS and 'chat'. It flicks between the two and slows the phone down, plus I don't really want delivery notifications or anything like that. I just want to send good old fashioned text messages. I have also found that 'chat' can be quite flakey, I have sent a few 'chat' messages to a friend who received them all 12 hours later. I'm constantly having to tap the menu and press 'Switch to SMS'. Irritating...
I've gone through the settings in the messaging application but I can't find any way to disable 'chat' all together. Am I missing something blindingly obvious here?
Thank you
I have read and read and read apps just for a simple redirect of the text of the sms to my gmail email account. It's confusing. I would like one that does not require the phone to be on. I have it off most the time while home, battery issues. But if someone did send a text message would be nice to know by coming to my email. They all are so confusing. I tried several and they didn't work. One worked but the cell phone needs to be on? How does that help. If I get a text I'll just read it from the phone. But what, as I said, if you want to leave the cell phone off and get them in your email. Anyone know of a simple solution via and app? Thanks so much! jackdashack
Hello.
First sorry for my bad english if something is not written corectly and i hope this is the right place to ask this question. Me and my wife use the google calendar to manage our tasks and common events. When one of us add a new event and adds someone to this event as participent i would like to recive on my android a push notification in drop down menu of the phone so that i know something has been added to the calendar and i can confirm and accept it. I know about the email notification but to be honest i have missed it many times when you get lots of emails. Is there any way to get push notification like FB has for all of its ****ty things?
