Welcome, I am newbie in android (generaly in smartphones)
I bought Sharp SH-06E from Japan (Docomo) and i would like to unlock all it's functions and add more.
I am specially interested in root, unlock bootloader and custom rom (everything)
As far as i found it's impossible, but maybe someone know how to do that and would like to share some informations. I heard that on Japanese forums they know how to do it, anyone from Japan?
Device info:
Build number 01.00.07
Model number SH-06E
Android version 4.2.2
Baseband version 1.00
Kernel version 3.4.0 [email protected] #2 Thy Sep 19 03:04:19 JST 2013
I tried to root it with my friend with "kingo android root" and i downloaded some Japanese pack named "SH06 root kit v25" but it's in Japanese language and i can't understand it at all.
Kingo couldn't see my phone (yes i turned on usb debugging)
if anyone knows sth, please help
Thank you v m

See here: there are two kits to root it (in English language) (I for myself used the "rooted tools version" and it functioned well (there was only a loop during the first or second reboot, I powered the phone of and after starting the phone everything was o.k. and went on with the root kit)):webside: sharp.cheeseus.org/index.php?page=Applications
For changing the language you can use some apps from the play store after rooting, (with the app from sightidea you can change as well without rooting but using adb)
I think your phone is unlocked, if not there is an unlock kit too

Hi,
I used sh06e_root_kit_v026 and usb_driver_SHARP_r8.5. Everything looks ok but I don't know if I can upgrade the system for Kitkat and how to do it.

Chinese phone Star galaxy i9220 baseband and rom changes

Hello everyone,
I address your genius to tell me if anyone knows the baseband MAUI.11AMD.W11.37.SP.V17.F1, 2012/03/14 4:54 p.m. on the phone is Chinese Star galaxy i9220
My problem is that you just made me a gift this phone but the google market is asia version and no way to install the android market European instead, so I will have wanted to extract the rom, the change by changing the android market and then reinject it into the phone, or if it can work, put a rom CyanogenMod without changing the baseband but the unlocking.
I swim a little there because I know the whole procedure but only on sony xperia x10.
If anyone can help me it would be really nice.

hi there, you can follow the instructions at gleescape.com/?p=1466 and see if it works for you. I had a MTK6577 device running ICS and it worked for me, so why not give it a try if all else fails?
Root Instructions for ThL W1
Instructions are posted clearly at cyanogenmod.org
Google "ThL W1 root" and you'll find it quite easily ;]
Is there a difference between the w1 and w1+ in regards to the rooting file?
Its now easier than ever thanks to the instructions on mtk6577 gaming rig (Search google; mtk6577 root instructions and it is the 7th result) to root any mtk6577 device.
V25 also roots (28.03.2013)

Same issue for me. Will try later, after this post.

Not sure which L9 P768 I have?

Hi there,
I just got my L9 yesterday. ITS AWESOME!
I would like to root it, but I don't know how to identify which version I have.
I'm not sure which county it came from, I ordered it from mobicity and they import from many places. The box has Asian symbols on it, I've used Google and "Quick Translator" on the box text and I think its Chinese. Also the box says production date: 01/2013. I have used cmahendra's ROM Linker - Option B and that said the latest firmware for my phone is V10B, but I have V10C running.
Under 'Software Information' it says:
Android Version: 4.0.4
Baseband Version: L6260_MODEM_SIC_01.1230.00
Kernel Version: 3.0.21
Build Number: IMM76L
Software Version: P76810c-466-92
If anyone could help me identify the phone, that would be great, then I can root and provide a CWM backup for this thread
Thanks

Also, I'm not sure which county it came from. I ordered it from mobicity and they import from many places. Is there anyway of checking by looking at a code on the box or on the phone? The box has Asian symbols on it, I'm not sure which language though.

If you have V10C then you can root it with http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1990705
It's known to work with P768 V10A-C. For rooting you don't need to flash kdz.
For me my software information show P768f10d-THA-XX which come from Thailand. Don't know which country your stock rom on but you can flash any P768 kdz, it not brick your phone.
Re: Not sure which KDZ I need
Thanks for the reply, I only looked at the lelus root method as it says it works with all versions.
I'll use the method you listed and hopefully I'll be rooted and ready to put CWM on.
This phone is pretty new, the production date says 01/13 so it's only about a month old. Maybe it's korean and it came straight from LG?
EDIT: Root didnt work with that method

If not confident, then don't try. Staying with stock is not bad.

Unlocked Sony Xperia E5 F3311 Stock/Updated Rom/Firmware Help needed

Hello, I would like to update my Bootloader-Unlocked Sony Xperia E5 to the latest firmware (assuming its 37.0.A.2.248) but I cannot find any helpful information online.
I tried using Xperia Companion but it told me that my device is unlocked and I had to get its standard software installed on it to upgrade it, which I could not find any information for.
I saw something on Sony's site about their Flash Tool being able to restore the standard software on a device, but when I tried it out, it would not detect my device (maybe its not supported(tried both system and fastboot)).
Model number: F3311
Android version: 6.0
Android security patch level: "September 5, 2016"
Build number: 37.0.A.2.108
If you need any other information comment down.
