Hey XDA members. I am hopping you can help me with my problem. I have the Razr XT912 verizon andI am having problems with my cell service. I rooted my razr a few months ago and have had problems with cell service dropping. I have been running CM roms since I rooted and have recently flashed CM11-20140130 and i am still having the problem but with a twist. It says that i am connected to cell service, but i can rarely get even a text to go through, let alone a call. I tried reflashing CM and Gapps, but still that same problem. I am still pretty new to roothing so try to go easy on all of the technical terms. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You open the .Zip file wit WinRar / 7zip. browse to the /system/app folder > Delete the .apk that was mentioned. and clean flash the rom.
Goodluck (i'm also trying this now.)

I did not know.
However my radio is working correctly now. Meanwhile i als had a thread submitted before, where i kept my 'testing' logged.

This also should work for OP.
Strange tho there is nothing on [ROM] Threads about such possible problem.
Thanks everyone. i found the file in es file explorer, but i cant delete it. it says the file cant be deleted. how do i delete it?

Thanks for the replies everyone. I got the .apk deleted and reflashed the ROM and gapps, and restored my data. I still have the same problem. I tried making a call tonight and I keep getting cut off in a good coverage area. Any other ideas because I'm about ready to break the phone and claim insurance.

Figure out how to push it to /system/apps on your own (use ADB or Root Explorer). I uploaded this a while back. Includes the settings as well (if you deleted that).
Sorry for the double thread, I just freaked out. The situation is solved now.

Well first you should ask in the blaze section not vibrant. Second if you extract the apk from the ROM you are using or it might be in gapps, don't remember off the top of my head. Use root browser lite (free in market). Take the apk from /sdcard/extracted or wherever you extracted it to and move it to
/system/app. Then fix permissions 644 or
rw-r--r-- or
x x -
x - -
x - -
its all the same then reboot.

Hi & Thanks for the look. My phone is in my signature. Basically a virgin Galaxy Nexus unlocked and rooted.
Any .zip I try to install, even as you suggested above gives me the error. Sigh! I want that inverted stuff.
I love you guys and a newb of sorts I am frustrated in all the wonderful stuff that gets posted without install details.
I cannot help but think if I am trying to install a inverted MMS, Gmail, or People .zip should I not disable or rename the current apps that I am replacing?
I experimented flashing the su.zip and it went ok. So it is not my phone.......I think?
Thanks.

If your talking about the mms.apk,
I use root explorer to navigate to the system/app folder and find the OE mms.apk and rename it to mms.apk.bak to disable it. The icon will disappear from the home screen start bar and app drawer.
I then place the new mms.apk in system/app folder and make sure its permissions are all checked off.
Then go to my app drawer and see if its there and will run. If it does I drage the icon back onto my home bar.
Some devices are finicky. Some require a reboot after a renaming then move it in there. Some require a reboot after every move. Its according to the apk and the device.

Yeh. Just don't have two enabled ones in there.
Having major issue here. I tried to install the .zip when it was posted through cwm and it kept fibbing me an error. So then I downloaded the .APK file and tried to install it, another error. Then I moved it to system/app and when I rebooted I hand no messaging at all. I restored my stock messaging from my titanium backup file, but I can't figure out what's wrong. I really want this messaging system, I love the look. Can anyone give me some ideas?

Any clean instructions on how to install this?
Does this have blurry MMS?
After leaving stock for 4.0.3 (phone bricker 2.7) I no longer had allShare, app that I find great.
Is there an apk I could install to get it back?
Use root explorer and open a rom with allshare in it, copy the apk to your sd card, then go back to root explorer home find your copy, long press, then select copy again, then mount as r/w and paste it in the system/apps bin, voila you have allshare working like a charm

I'm also trying to figure out a way to get Allshare back on my device running 4.0.3 (SHOstock v3.0). I don't know who has the Allshare APK that runs smoothly on 4.0.3. I've seen (and tried) dlna.apk supposedly for ICS but it keeps freezing and crashing when doing the method quote above.
I am dual booting shostock and turbkey, with allshare on both, the dlna.apk, i extracted it out of aj's ucld4 leak and it runs fine ill see if i can upload it and post a link possiw

will this work on 4.0.4? i tried installing and wont, and then put in /system/app, set permissions and still nothing.. ?
I found the best way is to use tibu to back it up rom a from that has it and then restore it on the new rom.

right I never said click in install I said copy it and then paste it to your system /app folder, if it will not pay then you need to mount rw before clicking paste. It will not do anything besides just paste no confirmation but when you open your applications tab it will be there

Interesting...everything I had found seemed to suggest that Allshare would only work with TW also. I'm running Task's AOKP also and have never been able to get it to work on my phone. I just tried with the .apk linked in this thread...placed it in the /system/app folder and made sure permissions were RW-R--R--. Rebooted, even tried to clear cache/dalivk but still nothing.
I wonder if there is anything else to try? Next time I'm ready to flash an update, I'll do a full wipe and try to place this .apk in the system/app folder before doing anything else.

I can't get it installed on mine either. I'm running ParanoidAndroid. I wish there was a way to get this working? My tv and blu ray player both have allshare and I would definitely like to try it out.

You can get Skifta to use as a free alternative but I feel it doesn't work as well as AllShare did when I was able to use it (when on stock). Still hope to figure out how to get it working eventually though.

I Have this annoying "HANDS FREE ACTIVATION" pop-up every time I boot this Photon 4G up. I successfully flashed this phone to PagePlus wireless and everything works (after 5 minutes boot time!). But every time I boot-up this phone, It shows this annoying thing EVERY TIME!!!! I searched for answers on the web and even extracted an update-script from a flashable update to remove it on an evo view 4g but the APKs are named different! Which APK is responsible for this annoyance so I can delete it? I rooted the phone and can get right into the System/apps folder or wherever to delete. I hope someone can help before I close up tonight so I can give this phone back to my customer. I'm sure others would appreciate it. THANKS!

my first one failed to install
now it is downloading the 320 mb one
I looked down at my phone and saw in the notification bar "download suspended, will resume shortly" and after 30 min it still hadn't resumed. i went to software update and it just says that an update is already in progress and then closes. i restarted my phone, waited another 30 min and still nothing. did a hard reset, now it isn't in the notification bar any more but software update still says something is in progress and then closes. i wonder what gives? I have left my phone in the same room as my router to ensure good wifi since the wifi reception on this phone has gone to absolutely miserable.
Anyone else experiencing this?
Everytime I check for updates it says my phone is already up to date. Is there any way to force it?

Were you rooted
Can someone post a screenshot of Settings > About Phone when on Jellybean?
Also if someone can pull the update..
Instructions for pulling an OTA update.zip:
Do NOT install the update! Do these first!
Be rooted. We got plenty of methods. Motofail2go for ICS, and my RAZRiRoot.zip for turl1's Clockworkmod.
Download the Root Explorer app, or the ES File Manager app. (Instructions are for Root Explorer.)
Open Root Explorer and go to the ~/cache/ directory, which resides on the root directory of the phone '~/'
Hit the 'Mount R/W' in the corner, if successful will then say 'Mount R/O'
Copy the update file .zip from the ~/cache/ to your sdcard, external to be safe. External is in ~/mnt/external1/ and Internal is ~/sdcard/.
Copy over the update file .zip from the sdcard(s) you chose to your computer and upload it.
You will want to use Voodoo's OTA Rootkeeper before updating if you have a locked bootloader, you can find my thread on a RAZR i compatible version here.
Send me or post a link here to the update and exactly what System Version you were on, and where the update takes you to.
The community will thank you for your help!
