Hello all,
I had the nexus 4 before and moved to galaxy s3
So I have the new device for like a week now.
When I had the nexus 4 I used to charge it wirelessly with this charger:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Qi-Wireless...S_Cell_Phone_PDA_Chargers&hash=item5d44f9545c
when putting the s3 on top of the charger It doesn't charge.
Am I missing something?
Should I enable anything on the s3 in order it to charge?
Please advise,
Thanks.

No, i don't think GS3 supports it. I know nexus 4 does but GS3, i don't think it does.

Never seen them on General or Q&A in this forum .
A 10 second Google search shows I9300 wireless charging with a purchased receiver that is fitted on top of the battery .
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Qi-Wirele...msung-Galaxy-S3-S4-SIV-Note3-UK-/161202421437
Does not come with the receiver out of the box.
It goes between the battery and the battery cover, you can see the contacts next to the battery.

Does the charger acknowledge the presence of the phone? I once had an issue with the contacts of the charging coil not lining up with the phone's receptacles. I could hear a *beep* when placing my phone on the charger, confirming my charger was communicating with the charge coil, but the phone didn't start charging. Peeling the charge coil from the back cover and realigning it with the receptacles fixed the issue.
The S3 does not come with the "receiver" you have to purchase one, and as JerseyFF stated it goes between the battery and the back cover.
Search ebay, I'm sure you will find them.
I have been wireless charging my S3 for the last year...

is there a difference between the S2 & the Skyrocket charger & the note charger ? i noticed that my phone charging faster when using the usb that came with the note more than the one that came with my old skyrocket ? or is it just in my head ? i used both chargers & notice the one that was in the box with the note charging it much faster ?

I'm interested in this as well. My charging is getting crazy hot and I'm worried that I may end up in the same boat.
I think, any 5V USB charger will do if enough Amps provided
I just noticed the description on the S3 i9300 device page says it has wireless charging - does it secretly pack this feature?
Nope. It doesn't have this feature only if you add it yourself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CyC37pHCVgE
I thought so! Maybe the description should be updated.

You need to purchase a Qi wireless charging receiver which needs to be placed at the back of the battery. It will be thin enough to fit between your battery and back cover.
Now if you placed the phone on a wireless charging pad the phone starts charging wirelessly.
I have used this on my phone.
Guys lemme start of by saying I love the LG V10. Had it for well over a month now, recently like 2 days ago my charger just stopped working? Most chargers I got to plug in and out like 20 times for it to charge my phone, its charges super slow and is getting really annoying... Can anyone help me... Like I dont want to get rid of my phone, but I refuse to have to have a second battery, that I have to charge in a cradle to keep my phone on, I want to be able to just use the charger.
It seems to me its not the cord? more than the phone, I got one cord that works, but it barely charges the phone... HELP PLEASE
edit:
called LG they basically told me to shove it. Said I can send my phone, wait till they recieve it then they will try to fix it if not they will send me a REFURBISHED DEVICE my device is basically brand new perfect condition besides this and a screen burn already? Makes no sense to me I told them they can get back to me and correct whatever issue this is and stand behind there product, not send me someone elses used and abused device when mine is in great shape or they can shove it and I will be switching companies...
Are u using the OEM charger that came with the phone? It uses a higher amperage/voltage to quick charge the battery. A charger that outputs in say, 1.0A will charge it VERY SLOW... Learned that lesson like 2 days ago when I didn't have my charger with me and borrowed someone's cheap Kyocera charger... Omg I thought I would never move up a few %...

yea, my oem charger is in perfect condition and wont charge my phone, i think my charging port is faulty
Hmmm.... U may actually need just a new quick charge 2.0 charger or something. Or maybe it is the charger port.

Dude my charger ports on EVERY SAMSUNG IVE HAD has went bad. I've bought a SAMSUNG device along with a LG device EVERY year since the Galaxy S3. With each appropriate uear, the charger port went out. My LG G2, that bad boy is still as fast as it was in day one. The GS4 that came out THAT year with it? Well, idk, won't charge. Lol. My G3 vs the S5? G3 SMOKED it in EVERY CATEGORY. Oh, S5 AMD Note 3 AND Note 4 charger port messed up in 2-5 months. I won't buy another Samsung device.

I called Samsung today. They told me Not to use the wireless fast charger that I currently use for my note 5. However they said I could use my 10,300 mah power bank. Is there a wireless fast charger for the s9+ yet?
Should have looked at site first. Found it. It's $70. Devices are so expensive now. I wish they would make the devices so we could use our old accessories. I understand needing a new case but this will be the 3rd wireless charger I've had to buy for a 3rd different phone

I'm confused as to what dexpad is. Is it a wireless charger? I get the part about being able to use phone on a desktop. I've been using my note 5 for 3 years and have gotten behind the curve so to speak as far as accessories and phone features
Did they say why you can't use a different wireless fast charger? It sounds like a load of bull to me.

They said s9+ has a more powerful battery than note 5
Yet they are both 3000 mah
Guy at best buy says i can use old charger
He said as long as my charger is an official Samsung should be good. How do I know if mine is official? I bought it from Amazon
Called Samsung back. They both confirmed my charger is official and that I could use it for the s9+

So I guess I should go by what best buy guy told me. I've used the charger in my note 5 for a year and it hasn't blown up. The note 5 and s9+ also have the same battery

Charging technology hasn't changed in these phones for the past few years. I wouldn't worry about it. I still have my original fat wireless charger and have used it on my s7 edge, s8+ and note 8 and will probably use it on my s9+ as well as its my desk charger at work.
