&
Kitkat by cmahendra..........

I have used almost every rom and the rom i like most is first of all SUPERLUMINADAD.
I like this ROM because its compact, no crappy apps installed and and takes very less space for installation and my favorite - no network messages, cause tatadocomo gives crappy register to yahoo popup messages all day when we move from non network to network areas.
Currently i am using kitkat rom which I already am enjoying much, good battery backup, good response time, good features, no crappy apps and takes very less space for installation.
I tried SAMFlare but I am not a big fan of samsung UI so gonna say I dont like it much cause there are several unwanted apps that you dont want to use.
Other roms I tried have bugs so I dont wanna talk about them so I am skipping them but if you really love customization then you should install and run these two roms. They are best roms till date.
I like less apps in my rom , tweaked and deoxed. I use xposed installer and use GRAVITYBOX plugin and xthemeengine to customize my phone. GravityBox gives you greatest features in rom rest you can use xthemeengine to change framework and I think thats all you expect from a rom. So thats my opinion. Peace .

KitKat by cmahendra is very high level

Threads like best ROM should not be created as everyone has a perspective. Whatever ROM one likes might not be liked by you. So please don't create such threads. Thanks

This about sums it up. Everyone is going to have a different opinion so there isn't ever going to be one "best ROM". There is a list of ROMs available here:
[INDEX] :: Micromax A116 Canvas HD :: {ROOT/RECOVERY/ROMS}
that you may check out, or also just browse the development section and try out a couple to see which one best fits your own needs.
Good Luck! :good:

Noob Question?

I know I should search this stuff but once I get some help with this I will ask to delete this thread. I just rooted my phone for the first time and I am looking for the best aosp rom or anything like aosp that has everything working. And do you loose the functionality of the 3d camera once we change roms? Also How to i back up everything so I dont loose all my apps and stuff. I appreciate any help that someone gives me. Now off the the development forum to try ti find a rom and figutr out how to even flash it.

Thank you. I have a quick question that maybe you could help me with. Do you have to change kernels for different roms or does the stock one work on all?

No problem. And that all depends on the dev, they might include a custom kernel (so you can OC) but some may include the stock one and suggest a kernel for you to flash. I would suggest using a kernel other than stock if you wanna OC (although I'm not sure if you can use perflock disabler..can anyone confirm/deny?)
Edit: I'm not rooted yet, haven't had the time. But I might make the jump in a day or two. Kinda missing that aosp goodness!

All the ROMs (so far) are based off the original EVO 3d rom, the only difference is some have tweaks and/or HTC Widgets and apps like peep and friend stream taken out. If a ROM isn't fully functional it will say so in the first post. If you wipe yes you will loose all your apps but apps like MyBackup or Titanium Backup can restore them as they were in minutes. If you going to be flashing ROMs, one of those programs is really good to have.

[Q] Opinions On Which ROM To Use

Hi There,
First of all I am a currently proud owner a htc one x and have flashed every android phone i've had. A friend of mine has a galaxy s2 and wants me to flash it for him, i need everyones opinion on which rom has the best:
1. battery life
2. performance
3. stability
I obviously can't try all the roms so i'm relying on your opinions as to which would be the most stable
thanks in advance
Cody.
PLEASE! Read the damn rules before posting stuff like this! It's the first thread, so why ignore it??
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1612881
There is no best rom or kernel, because it is totally subjective. Try them out yourself.
I will report this now.

Still totally subjective. Some people like stock and their features, other people prefer AOSP and there features, etc. Try a few of them after reading at least 10 pages of the threads to get a global idea about peoples opinion of the rom, and then make your decision.

The most popular ROM right now is Jelly Bean 4.1.2.
Which Region? That's the whole point, try them out & see for yourself.

[Q] Fastest rom for Galaxy s2

Hey.
I am looking for a fast rom for my samsung galaxy s II i9100. I want it to be fast but it's also important that it's stable. I've tried out a couple of custom roms but no one was what I was looking for. Cyanogenmod was very clean and also fast, but the battery was just sucked out of the phone...
So... what whould you prefer??
Thanks in advance!

Try the ROMs for yourself and find out, no one is going to give you any advice since you decide what ROM is best for you
A red one (because red is the fastest colour)
for stability sammy roms, aosp (cm, etc...) is fast but not 100% stable (open source drivers). just choose

My Advice: Dorimanx Kernel 9.39 + SlimBean Build 8
It's an AOSP ROM, battery life with shipped kernel is okay, not extraordinary but not as devastating as XENON HD.
And very stable and fast, probably because it really deserves its name: Its just 81MB
Try it!
Guys, why are 'What is the best/fastest/greatest rom?' questions suddenly allowed? It's subjective, no one can tell you.
So stop asking and please stop answering with subjective suggestions.

What would you reccomend me?

Hi guys , I'm not sure if this thread is allowed or not , if not please delete it and give me a warning or ban. Not sure what do you do at this situations.
Well , what I'd like to ask you is what rom would you recommend me , because I'm not beeing lucky testing and testing with the same results.I've tested a few but with all of them I've got the same results and it's frustating to do wipes for nothing.
Actually , what I want of a room is not too much(maybe is everyone's desire ) : Good keyboard and light. Right now I'm running "S4 Revolution v.4.1" (yes I know it's not the latest...maybe latest would be different but not sure).

And the only thing I "can't live without" is this kind of keyboard :
I'm not sure where it comes from maybe I can get it running with another rom , but most of the rooms I've test had the old-school keyboard wich I hate so much.
Basically , that's all I want in a rom , I don't need a lot of extras or mod , all I want is that keyboard and good performance. Right now , my phone is too laggy for just two or three apps (I don't even play games in it,..) , All I do with my phone is browse internet and use some chat apps such as What's up , line and so on.
Thanks you so much , and sorry if this is not allowed.
Yes it is frustrating to do wipes Who ever said rom flashing was easy thats why XDA is here No this post is not allowed the mods will close it soon!! Experiment there are no best roms everybody as different requirements when it comes to roms for their phones...

I really know that part , but that's why I'm asking here for feedbacks of users who may have a rom like I'm asking for. I'm not asking for the best rom or something like that , because best rom is relative. Some users would need a lot of things that I don't need. All I need is what I've posted before..
Anyway , if it's really not allowed , I'm sorry
ps : Can someone tell me what's the name of that keyboard? Thanks

you do not have ios, so you can search as many keyboards on playstore or whereever and install them on ONE rom as you want
you do not have to live with the keyboard which comes with a rom
I'm sure there is one that supports your wishes. for example i read that the new swiftkey beta (not the one on playstore) has now an extra number row, just google for "swiftkey number row" and you'll find it. i think in some days or so it will be on playstore
I think it's S4 or Note keyboard you can find one in mods themes thread.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
try "A.I. Type Keyboard" from Play Store.
