[Q] Stock calendar on KitKat roms - sync problems - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

This problem has appeared on all KitKat roms I've tried (full wipe, no Titanium restore, stock kernel)
The stock calendar says "Error communicating with Google servers".
When installing the Google Calendar from Play Store, all of a sudden the stock calendar syncs and they both give reminders. Since duplicate reminders are kind of a hassle, I tried uninstalling the Google Calendar from Play Store. This causes the stock calendar to lose sync functionality again.
Has anyone else encountered this?

[Q] Google calendar not syncing with device

I have a strange problem where the events in my Google Calendar are not syncing with the stock calendar application.
There are one or two of the latest events that I have added, and these show up in both locations, but all previous events are nowhere to be seen.
When I click on a day in the calendar app I get two messages:
Google calendar cannot sync with Samsung Kies. Use My calendar to sync with Kies - irrelevant, I do not use Kies.
Local calendar cannot sync with Google calendar. You need a google account - at which I go to the account and sync it. Nothing happens.
I can create an event in my Google calendar and it pops straight through as it should do, but none of the previous events and I keep getting these sync errors.
Please help, as it's giving me a headache.
Thanks.

Hmm ... that is not easy to solve.
I also had a similar issue with my Google calendar synch.
After installing a leaked version of Google Talk with Video chat (I think it was the one from paulobrien => http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075494&highlight=modaco+talk), my Google account was deleted and I had to create it again.
Since then, I have no problem to synch my Google calendar entries.
Everything is fine now.
So, you may try to delete your Google account on your phone and re-install it again afterwards.
Good luck !

[Q] Google Calendar won't sync. (Litening rom 2.2-2.6)

My SGS2 hasn't been able to sync with Google Calendar for a week now. The error I get is "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly."
All other services sync fine, though. Email, Chrome Beta, Contacts and so on.
I've tried everything, deleted calendar data, deleted the actual calendar application, formatted with backup, and upgraded the ROM three times.
Any tips?

Calendar wont sync.. also auto closes

I recently upgraded my phone to ics and then rooted it. right now my calendar app is not working. not only the stock app none of the calendar apps are working
i have my google account signed in and the sync is on. but it does not show any of my events.
also when i go to calendars to sync the app closes. this problem occurs with the google calendars app also. i tried aCalendar it does not close but it does not do anything either. Also i may have deleted some components by mistake that these app may require

[Q] Calendar only syncing one way

Hi everyone,
My phone Andorid version is: Gingerbread - 2.3.5
Until few days ago calendar sync was working without problem. But now stopped sync to google servers.
For example:
If I add appointment to my Google calendar online (browser on PC), it shows up on my android calendar - no problem. But when I add appointment on the android calendar (using the factory calendar as well as "Bussines Calendar") the appointments don't show up on my Google calendar online, but instead it's get deleted in my android calendar.
I've tried:
Restart the phone.
Syncing several times, turn sync on and off many times.
Clearing the data of Calendar store and Calendar applications.
This also happens on device Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 (gingerbread)
Checked that I adding appointments to gmail calendar and not on local calendar
Can anybody with OS Gingerbread try this?
I've have the feeling that Google changed something on their Calendar services online....
Thanks.
Hello I came to this forum to search for the answer to the same question.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 with android 2.3.3 and I cannot add any new event to the google calendar. The event simply gets deleted after 1-2 minutes after I input it into the phone.
I have tried searching for answers on google, but the proposed solutions did not work. I tried: clearing Calendar app cached data; also tried creating a new calendar - the new calendar is there, but new events disappear from it 1-2 minutes after being created.
I am worried that google messed up something on their side - but I have no idea where to even report it.
Yes, I saw that Google updated their Google Calendar after I visited Google Calendar page (few days ago): https://www.google.com/calendar
So there must be some bug, becuase I also check their troubleshooter and still no solution to my problem:
https://support.google.com/calendar/answer/168512?hl=en
Also found this:

Now it's working!! Seems that Google hear our voice
