How to Disable Auto-hide keyboard on GoSMS when scrolling? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I'm using GoSMS Pro and Thumb Keyboard. If i'm currently typing a message and wants to back read some messages in our conversation, the keyboard automatically hides since I tapped the conversation screen and starts scrolling. Can I disable that feature because when I want my keyboard to stay while scrolling through the text messages. Thank you

Refreshing this topic. I would also like that it would be configurable whether to hide or not the keyboard while scrolling.

Handcent Help

ive looked around a lot but havent found an answer yet, but sorry if it is a repost
anyways, i have been using handcent and i love it. but i was wondering if there was a way to also show the text message preview on the lock screen like the default messaging app does without turning on the default messaging's notifications.
or maybe there is something that allows handcent to have the pop up show ontop of the lock screen?
thanks
As far as i know handcent can't be used on the lockscreen. But handcent will cause a wake lock that bypasses the lockscreen if you answer the text quickly. Handcent is great. Its what i use.

what do you mean by wake lock?
currently what i did was enable the messaging app notifications to have it show on the lock screen but it still shows the icon in the notification bar. and if i turn off the handcent notifications, i cant get the popop.
the only nice thing is that you can use the messaging app notification and have it open in handcent, but i still want the popup after lock and during use.

The popup is the "lock screen" notification. Normally programs are not allowed to unlock the phone. They do it this way so that the first thing you see is the popup.
At least this is my understanding of it. To allow the text actually on the lockscreen would require lockscreen modification i believe.

[Q] Shortcut for composing text message

I know there must be an easier way to begin composing a text message but have not figured it out.
Currently I have this set-up:
The native Motorola message widget is on the home screen
To compose a text I:
tap Message widget
tap "Go to Messaging"
tap "Text Messaging"
tap "New text message"
Then I am able to begin my text input.
Any thoughts on shortening this procedure?
I erased the message widget from my home screen and put the stock text message app short cut in place of the message one.
So I tap text messages
Then tap new message
Then type text

I use launcher pro and handcent messaging, so on my dock I have the handcent app docked and use the swipe feature to start the "quick compose" feature of handcent to start a new text message. One swipe and I'm on my way. Love the set up.

Actionable SMS notification.

So I watching WWDC 2014 yesterday and really liked the Actionable Notification for SMS (dont care about other apps). IMO, its an essential part of phone and I really liked this feature. Anyways, for months now I been trying to find a popup quick reply app that lets me quick reply from lockscreen on my Nexus 5 running CM11. Some stuff I found was SMS popup which didnt work to good on handling multiple messages. I used EvolveSMS for a long time since it would unlock the screen to show you the popup sms and once you hit send it would bring you back to lock screen. However I was looking for something like ChompSMS where it did that but it gave me option to customize my popup menu, I have to option to open, close, reply, delete etc (I can customize buttons) for my popup screen. Plus I can swipe from one message to another if multiple are popping up at the same time. However I was more in line of something Apple introduced, simple and yet elegant, just sms straight from notification bar, pull down and type.
Anything like that?

Textra settings help

I absolutely love Textra and have grown quite attached to the interface and the pop-up notifications that are built in. I do however have one issue that I cannot seem to crack.
With pop up notifications enabled for both screen on and screen off I get the nice built textra pop-up window for both. This works fantastic with the screen on but with the screen off I receive both the textra pop-up and the system notification (default that links to textra). The only way I have been able to alevoage this is to shut off the textra notifications on the lock screen. This leaves me stuck with the more limited default pop-up. What I would like to be able to do is shut off the system notifications instead of textra.
I have always already blocked all "messages " (stock app) notifications and frozen the app.
Device is Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

You won't be able to on a stock based roms. 5.0 doesn't have that option. It's either all notifications on the lockscreen or none.

dismissing Voice to Text for keyboard entry

use to be when suing V2T I could dismiss it when I tapped the phone. The keyboard would then come up.
Doesn't seem to be anymore. Is that an Android feature.
In other words, say I’m using V2T to enter some text and I want to switch to keyboard to edit. Use to be that when I tapped the phone, V2T would auto dismiss and SwiftKey would appear.
