dismissing Voice to Text for keyboard entry - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

use to be when suing V2T I could dismiss it when I tapped the phone. The keyboard would then come up.
Doesn't seem to be anymore. Is that an Android feature.
In other words, say I’m using V2T to enter some text and I want to switch to keyboard to edit. Use to be that when I tapped the phone, V2T would auto dismiss and SwiftKey would appear.

[Q] Direct Messaging and Voice Control

Here is my question: I would like to set up a text message shortcut on my home screen using the "direct message" shortcut for a specific contact, BUT I would like the shortcut to open directly into voice control so I can just begin talking (as opposed to opening into the text thread, then having to tap the box to bring up the keyboard, then having to tap the voice control icon).
Also, I know about the voice control app (say "text Rob" then start speaking your message). I want to cut out the "To" part of the equation because Google Voice very often gets that part wrong and I end up having to manually change the recipient info.
Thanks guys!
Anyone?

How to Disable Auto-hide keyboard on GoSMS when scrolling?

So I'm using GoSMS Pro and Thumb Keyboard. If i'm currently typing a message and wants to back read some messages in our conversation, the keyboard automatically hides since I tapped the conversation screen and starts scrolling. Can I disable that feature because when I want my keyboard to stay while scrolling through the text messages. Thank you
Refreshing this topic. I would also like that it would be configurable whether to hide or not the keyboard while scrolling.

Actionable SMS notification.

So I watching WWDC 2014 yesterday and really liked the Actionable Notification for SMS (dont care about other apps). IMO, its an essential part of phone and I really liked this feature. Anyways, for months now I been trying to find a popup quick reply app that lets me quick reply from lockscreen on my Nexus 5 running CM11. Some stuff I found was SMS popup which didnt work to good on handling multiple messages. I used EvolveSMS for a long time since it would unlock the screen to show you the popup sms and once you hit send it would bring you back to lock screen. However I was looking for something like ChompSMS where it did that but it gave me option to customize my popup menu, I have to option to open, close, reply, delete etc (I can customize buttons) for my popup screen. Plus I can swipe from one message to another if multiple are popping up at the same time. However I was more in line of something Apple introduced, simple and yet elegant, just sms straight from notification bar, pull down and type.
Anything like that?

Can't make split window function as I wish

I have an app that calls Ooma voicemail for a different # and then plays back the message out loud. When I retrieve a message, I know there will frequently be a phone number which I'll want to write down. I'm trying to use the split window to give me a half window of QuickMemo in which I would like to write the number being spoken through the player.
I put a split window shortcut on the bottom of the screen. However, no matter when I turn on the split window (before or after accessing the Ooma app), I get a panel of options: when I choose Quick Memo, it fills the screen (instead of halving it), and turns off the playback of the Ooma Voicemail. Seems to me there should be a way...but I can't find it.
I can see that actually, I'm trying to keep three apps open: the Ooma voicemail app, the playmusic app and then, the quickmemo app. Might there be a way before I revert to find a pen?
Thanks.

Any way to dismiss lockscreen notifications?

Is there any way that I can make a text message received on my lockscreen to be considered "read". All I want to do is see a message and dismiss it as read and turn off the lock screen. Why do I need to double tap lockscreen notification, open the stock messaging app, close the messaging app and then turn off the screen just to dismiss a message. I can swipe it but it will come back. Certainly an area that apple does so well.
