So I just got supercid and I'm about to flash the RUU_M7_UL_JB43_SENSE50_MR_BrightstarUS_WWE_3.22.1540.1.exe to try out the Google Developer Edition. I haven't installed the CWM 6.0.4.6 version that's listed under HTC One since it still says 6.0.4.3 for the tmo version (for which mine was originally). My question is have the devices been combined the same way they were for CM? And after supercid am I able to flash whichever version I want or is it still dependent on something else?
Sorry, I know this is noob question. Thanks in advance!

I have an HTC One X+ that I have unlocked, installed a custom recovery mod (TWRP without making a backup ) and now I want to go back to stock stock stock (to update firmware and that fun stuff).
My phone's...
ENRC2B_U PVT SHIP S-OFF RL
CID: 11111111
HBOOT: 1.30.0000
radio: 1.1204.103.14
software version: 1.14.1190.1 710RD
Android Version: 4.1.1
HTC SDK API level; 4.63
baseband version: 3.1204.167.31
build number: 1.14.1190.1 CL124797 release-keys
sense: 4+ (that's what my phone says)
Unlocked version (I'm guessing international since it's unlocked... so Endeavor_C2B I guess)
(Don't know what information I need to provide, so I'm providing everything lol
Also, a few questions:
1) How do I flash stock recovery?
2) How do I unroot the ROM?*
3) What is the current most up-do-date RUU/firmware update for my phone? I seem to not find it, and OTA doesn't work for obvious reasons (says my phone is up to date, maybe it is, but I have my doubts [first of all, up-to-date HOX+ uses android 4.2.2... mine is 4.1.1] and additionally, I have custom recovery so it obviously doesn't work [though it said my phone was up-to-date before I did anything with my phone])
4) Do I need to worry about the firmware version if I'm going to install a custom ROM anyway? Or does updating the firmware update the antenna and everything/anything else that a custom ROM wouldn't do/touch/update? (I've had problems with the WiFi mainly on everything stock and current running firmware).
5) I've read somewhere that if you have S-OFF it doesn't matter what CID it is as long as the RUU is meant fr your phone (I'm guessing mine is Endeavor) so I can use any of the RUU as long is it's for my Endeavor... is that correct?
6) Also, how do I know what country to choose for the RUU? I see Asia, Europe and then I see O2 and Vodafone... I'm in USA under AT&T (BUT I'm using an international version phone I guess... bought it on Ebay since I travel overseas occasionally).
7) Do I need to run the RUU while my bootloader is locked or unlocked? (I figured it out... it needs to be locked [VIA search])
* I have stock ROM installed and I had the SuperSU installed but I did a factory reset and now I don't have the SuperSU App, but I have the SuperSU Installer App. Does this mean it's still rooted or not rooted?
EDIT: I found the following links
[www [dot] androidruu [dot] com/?developer=ENRC2B] but I don't know which RUU I need! (I guess I'll try with the highest radio number since I don't see the one with my current radio...)
[forum.xda-developers [dot] com/showthread.php?t=1975140] but I don't know which nandroid backup to choose? Fastboot says my CID is 11111111... not in the list
Used a RUU
I chose RUU_ENRC2B_U_JB_45_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.17.707.1_Radio_3.1204.168.32_release_299722_signed.exe
Now I'm getting OTA (over the air) updates (fixes some bug with WiFi not working well with a Pakistanian SIM card in there), after I install the update, I go to check more OTA updates and it finds the same update I just installed... Here I am installing it the second time.
Also, still no Android 4.2.2 (even though 4.4.2 is already out [KitKat, but unavailable right now])... where do I find the most relevant latest RUU for my device? Help would be greatly appreciated. I'm still hoping to get answers to those questions as well. Thanks.
Updated
Ok, I got it updated to Android version 4.2.2 (which is, I guess, latest version) and software number is 2.18.707.5, sense 5.0... I guess I'm happy at the moment lol
Though I would still like answers to my questions as those answers would make it easier next time... this is mostly luck I guess.
Worse WiFi antenna?
Seems to have worse WiFi antenna then the previous version of this HTC One X+ software!!! Really disappointing, frustrating and everything else!!!
Antenna update
Ok, the antenna isn't that bad after a while (and possibly a reboot, don't remember). Apparently that RUU didn't flash my recovery to stock (wouldn't think it would now that I think about it)... for some reason it just deleted my current recovery and I'm without a recovery at the moment!!! At least when I tried to boot into recovery I got a symbol that looked something like a phone lying on it's back with a red triangle on top of it with a red exclamation mark in the triangle.

You will find a stock recovery here

It worked for me.
And here is an explanation of what you see in recovery. Actually it is your recovery, but you have to press power + both volume.

Hello,
I wanted to have newer android and have rooted and flashed HTC Amaze with Hasoons toolkit using TWRP recovery system. After flashing Cyanogenmod 10 ROM through ADB Sideload and flashing Cyanogenmod 10 ROM kernel (boot.img file which was included in the zipped folder) manually with Hasoons toolkit, the phone started to boot normally, load welcome screen, but after several seconds it freezes and then restarts. Can you please help what can be the cause of this problem and how can I repair? The phone is rooted and bootloader unlocked, but its still S-ON.
Before installing the Cyanogenmod I have tried to flash other ROMs, but on all of them after flashing kernel, the phone was freezing on booting mode and then just restarting continuously.
I hope there should be some way out and the phone is not bricked. If something I have backed up the data and will try to restore, but would prefer to repair Cyanogenmod ROM.
Thank you guys in advance for your help.

Did you follow the directions posted in the pinned threads at the top of the forums and update to ICS before unlocking and flashing these other ROMs?
I ask because if you say you're unlocked, but s-on, and you need to be on an ICS radio baseband prior to flashing any newer ROM. If you were already on ICS prior to these flash attempts then I suggest you try again with the latest version of 4ext instead of TWRP, and make sure to enable smart-flash. TWRP doesn't flash kernels properly on HTC handsets with s-on, while 4ext does when smart-flash is enabled. Of course all of this comes with the stipulation that you're doing this on a T-Mobile US version handset.
If you're on an Asian or non-branded international version it gets a bit more complicated because you must attain s-off before attempting to flash. This is because these handsets never got an ICS update. So there is no carrier image to flash to, and the only way to install the updated firmware with the ICS baseband is to attain s-off first then flash the T-Mobile US image.
Again, if you haven't I strongly suggest reading the pinned threads at the top of the different forums here as they contain all of the info you need to successfully flash your device to an updated ROM. Good luck.

Thank you for information. It is non-branded international version. It means I will have to try S-off and then flash the ROM with 4ext.

Please read the pinned threads first. You're going to have to relock your bootloader before proceeding, so save the binary unlock blob you got from HTC as you'll need it to unlock again. Place the stock image in the root of your external SD card and flash from hboot. Then after getting s-off and superCID then you can flash the T-Mobile ICS image. Again read the pinned threads thoroughly or you'll be posting about how to unbrick your handset. Good luck.
Ciao
I had the same issues and had to turn off security with the joupunut bear program. Just to be safe with future flashing I've understood it works best. You should first s-off your phone and then go about flashing whichever firmware you want. Make sure you upgrade to the stock ics rom first as a pre requisite towards flashing any other rom and you'll be fine. Do a search on the stuff needed to gain s-off here in the forums. Report back if you need more assistance

The steps are correct, make sure to do a full wipe (except /data/media folder) in recovery before you flash your new rom. If you're not sure about what you're doing, read some of the tutorials in the forums.
And NO you can't flash AT&T/Telus roms on international version! It's a different phone and even though the specs are similar to international, they still have some different hardware parts, so it won't work!

Thanks for the reply install ARHD successfully.
Hi everyone.
I bought a used HTc Rhyme which has some custom ROM flashed with cid HTCCN701. (I am guessing its custom because it has application I have never seen on a standard Htc stock Rom, plus it doesn't have Google Play either).
I actually want to flash a standard stock/official ROM on this phone, and so far I can only find one ROM with this cid at tsar3000
But the problem is that the phone's current rom version is 2.12.1400.1 and the available rom version is 1.42.1400.6, which is an older version so naturally when i try to flash it gives me and error of older hboot.
So the problems are,
-Getting a newer rom version, which i can't find.
-Get s-off / super cid so that I can flash any Rom, but I can't find a way to do that.
I am stuck here and don't know what to do. I have rooted the phone and unlocked its boot loader but that's it. Please tell me a solution to this problem. What should i do? Thanks
Okay since my phone is my baby I just want to make sure I got the steps right to upgrade from 4.4.4 skydragon gpw to 5.x skydragon gpe.
1. upgrade firmware
Curent setup:
s-off
CID__001
HBOOT-3.16
planning to use this RUU (do i have to go through htc to unlock again?)
2. reinstall twrp
htconem8gsm right?
3. flash skydragon here
4. install elementalx (also do i have to buy the kernel manager again?)
Again I just want some one else's eyes to look at what i'm going to do to make this a smooth as possible.
1) Not sure how you came up with the notion that RUU is the one you want. But its wrong, and will just put you on the same firmware (1.x, hboot 3.16) you presently have. The latest AT&T RUU is number 4.28.502 (Android 5.0.2) which you can find linked on my Index thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2751432
Since you are s-off, there is no need to relock the bootloader to RUU (this is only needed when s-on). And its also not recommended to relock the bootloader in this situation (just makes more work and more steps for yourself for no good reason and with no added benefit).
2) Correct. You will also want the latest version TWRP 2.8.7. Anything older than the last few versions will not work on Lollipop firmware.
3) Yes
4) I haven't used that kernel. But as long as you've checked that its compatible with the ROM, then its fine. The ElementalX thread says it supports GPE 5.1, so it should be fine, I think.
Also don't use Kernel Manager, so I don't know. Is that a Play Store purchase, an in-app purchase, or otherwise?
