if Sprint, Virgin and Boost won't claim this phone and say that it is not in any of their databases, who else sold Sprint branded phones? I just want my MSL to move it to StraightTalk and all I have gotten is a headache. At least I know my ESN is clean..but this phone is driving me nuts!! Any ideas?

You can download the app "Root Checker" from the Play store. It's fairly self-explanatory. Also, you might want to take a look at the guide in the link below:

Nope. T-mobile is GSM. Sprint is CDMA.
It wont work with tmobile but maybe you can get it to work with metropcs or even boost.
Although I hear there are some legal concerns about doing this..
You need to buy the EVO 3D from Rogers Canada

You can't. T-mobile needs SIM card slot, Sprint does not. You could get the sensation, a replica with out 3D and half the amount of RAM.

yeah i saw it too. but i think you cant get mms on it thru metropcs. i hope i'm wrong. i'd love to move from my $55/month (taxes included) on tmobile to $40/month with metropcs. i'd be happy.

It's not called unlocking for Metro, Unlocking is a term used for GSM Phones.
You are wanting to FLASH to metro pcs. From what I know there is some CDMA workshop trickery involved, and I believe you DONT need to be rooted for it to work although I could be wrong. Also btw ROOTING ≠ UNLOCKING
Metro is garbage, if you want the best, pre paid , its page plus, 45- buck a month with unlimited talk text and 20mb internet but best part is it uses verizons service

lmao...what good is that when u got no data? not only that but PP needs a verizon esn.....if there was a way to change the esn on the evo 3d u think people would pick PP over boost? metro roams off of sprints towers. u can actually load a sprint prl into any metro phone and it will work. anyhow metro is great cause u get unlimited data, even if its slow u still get data and all ur apps work. yes you can flash the evo 3d to metro pcs, its same as flashing any other phone. u need cdma ws to change the passwords and all that stuff the m.ip and the ppp. i sold my last evo 3d on metro pcs alsmot fully working...mms is not working. im getting another evo 3d in 4 days ill see if now with root theres a way to get mms. all apps work on metro pcs.

He's actually a great developer over in the wildfire s section. I ran his sense 3.5 Rom and his 2.1 and they're great. He's also helped me out through pm trying to fix some stuff. Thanks jmztaylor! And welcome to 3d world, did you get your 3d yet, or is it even out for VM?
About your poll, I pay sprint for service but my phone says Virgin Mobile because I was one of the few that had to flash that red hot VM firmware leak, but ill be back to all sprint soon.

I thought the Evo 3D came out just about a year ago on Sprint, perhaps 13 months. Why would anyone break contact with a year to go to move to VM? I'm sure I'm missing something here.

How's the service for Virgin Mobile? This divorce is going to cost a lot of money. Trying to cut back on everything just to stay afloat.
I installed the VM firmware the first day we were told that it had to be installed to run freeza's ROM, but I have not had many issues like others. And after flashing the nocturnal release, I cannot find anything on my phone that references VM.

I'm stuck in a pickle where my phone won't roam anymore unless i go in to do some manual switching on things. From what I'm told the fixe is to ruu and re-provision to fix it. Of course though nobody is elaborating on exactly what the re-provisioning is? Anybody hook me up?

Ok so I'm having this same issue. I cannot get my phone to roam with data! I used the 11115 prl for a while and after the radio update I haven't been able to get my phone to roam correctly! I've done a full reset, reprovision, etc.... Nothing seems to be working! Help!
So I am going to try meanrom now that swg is no more. swg has been great but I am still on 2.06 and its time to upgrade. I know I need to upgrade my radios but I dont know how to tell what radios im on or where to get the newest ones. I am rooted s-off (lazy panda).
So i guess I am asking if anyone can link me to the new radios so i can flash a new Rom. Also i assume they just get flashed by recover like everything else. Should I update anything else besides the radios?

Go to the link below. Use the first link under 'Firmware Downloads' in the OP. Rename the file PJ75IMG.zip, place it on the root of your external SD card and load it through your bootloader. Delete the file off your SD card once you've finished updating. This will update your PRI and radio to the newest versions.

Ok so I updated it and man i get some great 4g speeds now BUT... Now i get 4g speeds for a few minuets and it switches to 3g. The only way for me to get 4g again is to restart the phone...any advice why i am loosing 4g signal?

Did you try updating PRL and Profile? That may help or you could try to manually change your PRL.
