[Q] Password Protect Photos - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am looking for a way to prevent photo deletion without inputing a password first. I know there are app lock apps and photo hiding apps but I am not looking for those. On jailbreak iPhones there is an app called Photector which requires a password before someone deletes a photo from the gallery and would love an option on Android but haven't been able to find one. Would be really handy when you take embarrassing photos of someone and try to delete it later by grabbing your phone Thanks in advance!

[Q] VERY simple photo sharing?

Here's the deal with the way I share photos. I don't do social media, I don't have "walls" anywhere. I show pictures to my wife and folks and they send pictures to me. But doing this via email the way we do now is cumbersome. Snap...open email...attach...no not that one, the other one...delete...attach...add email addresses... etc etc etc. And that's not even addressing the issue of file size limitations.
I need something super simple that allows sharing of 1-4 pictures quickly after taking them without having to manage a whole social media app in the process. Does something like this even exist or am I not a market that anyone cares to create an app for because my photo use can't be monetized by a marketing manager?
Thanks guys! Any app suggestions would be great. If it could work across Blackberry as well that would be great. All I can find is flickr??
I just use my dropbox account. added my mom to the photo folder and she can just go to the dropbox website. The dropbox app makes it very easy to upload photos right after you take them. This works for you too. If they just upload photos to the shared dropbox folder you can view them from computer or phone. Only problem is you don't get any notification of new content like you get with e-mail.

[Q] Seeking the Impossible Calendar App

I'm new to Android, have a non-rooted Tranformer TF101 and prefer to keep it that way for now. I need a stand-alone, non-syncing calendar app that allows me to add typed notes to each day's appointments and to attach .jpg and - here's the impossible part - .pdf files to each appointment. I also want password protection for the entire clendar.
I tried Jorte, but can't add .jpg or .pdf files to the appointments - unless I just can't figure out how, which I'm not ruling out. I've tried Private Diary. While it's not in the monthly calendar view I prefer, I could add .jpg files to each day. . . but then it kept crashing.
I love my Sunbird calendar and would go all-Android if there were something like it available. Anyone want to write this app for me? I'm a lawyer and I know other lawyers would find this useful.
Thanks!

[app]Vault-Hide SMS ,Pics & Videos

Vault—the Ultimate in Privacy Protection
Vault hides your confidential SMS messages, contacts, call logs, pictures and videos. It’s the BEST app for Android users to hide SMS messages and call history from prying eyes! It keeps your private stuff hidden, giving you complete control over your privacy and security.
With Vault, you can:
1. NEW in 2.0! Monitor who’s trying to see what’s on your phone and photograph them in the act. This feature requires an Android 2.3 (or higher) device with a front-facing camera.
2. NEW in 2.0! Hide your photos and videos so only you can see them. They’ll be encrypted and only viewable in Vault when you enter the correct password.
3. Import your sensitive SMS text messages to Vault. Strong encryption and password protection ensures they’ll be hidden from everyone but you.
4. Make your private contacts invisible. Simply add a number to Vault and any calls or messages from this number will only appear in Vault. They’ll no longer appear in your phone's native SMS folder and call logs.
TIP: We recommend adding your most commonly used contacts to
Vault. If your phone is lost or stolen, you won’t have to worry about anyone accessing your contacts or messages.
5. Protect your real Vault by creating one or more “fake” vaults. If someone insists that you give them your password and display your secret messages, you can show them the “fake” vault. Problem solved!

This app lost all of my contacts that I stored in it and since it deletes them from your android contacts I can't get them back. Photo/video seems to work but definitely would not recommend this app for anything you wouldn't want lost.

you must return to your settings before uninstall the app... i did the same mistake first time but my luck was that i chose to hide only the videos... so before uninstalling turn back to show contacts, videos, and other things that you selected to hide
I think you have a folder on your sdcard (the app folder) and there must be the things that you chose to hide.. cheek it
i have format my hp without backup my file on vault 1st...then after format i install vault back...my old file cannot open...please help me to recover back my file...
Does anyone know of an app that can actually hide other apps?

[Q] Android Photo FTP sync and gallery

So I'm looking for an android app that will let me upload pictures to a remote FTP server automatically, not necessarily sync with the phone but just upload the pictures and skip any that are of the same file name; this is not so hard to find.
But also (preferably in the same app) I need to be able to view the pictures on said FTP remotely and in a nice smooth way, perhaps some kind of forward buffer so that you can do a gallery.
Finally, I need to be able to view the pictures on the FTP server (and again, if in the same app - awesome!) and multi-select some of them to download back to the device.
Does anyone know if something like this exists? I want to avoid things like Picasa as I am concerned about security and I know my FTP server is in my house; not in 'the cloud'.
As a side thought:
Alternatively, I could store them on a remote FTP server where I have unlimited storage space but security is the issue here, I'd need to password protect and possible protect by using something to make sure only certain devices could access the files. But then, I need to be able to view it on my android phone; perhaps an HTML5 application could do this effectively.... I'd prefer to use an app though for viewing.
Although it is quite late, I just passed by and see that I have same problem as you before. And I use "SyncMe Wireless" to solve this problem. It's very fast (than cloud sync), and easy to use. Try it.

(q) Someone help me get to this app?

There's an app, sort of a photo viewer, it's perfect for me because it always shows the photos in the order I want. However, on my note 3 running cyanogenmod it's there and it's called "documents". On the s6 however it seems to be there but I can't access it directly unless I'm using an app, for instance if I'm uploading a photo on Twitter It opens. Can someone help me install it so I can look for photos directly in it? I'll post photos of it.
