Hi folks,
if you are annoyed of the bootloader warning at startup, just extract the zip file and flash the logo.bin in fastboot with
Code:
fastboot flash logo logo.bin
and you are done, enjoy!
This is the .bin from XT1052 Retail DE, but it should work with other KitKat-ROMs too but I haven't tested this!
I'll take no guarantee for bricking your device if you are doing something wrong!

I have an unlocked and rooted Verizon DE running 4.4.
I downloaded the factory images for the Verizon DE and unzipped them and could see logo.bin was there. Then I tried the command above and it flashed but I still have the warning message. Any thoughts on why it won't work for me?
Send me your logo.bin, I will look into it.

Does that mean I can't get it back?
Also, I erased clogo by using the command:
fastboot erase clogo
before I understood what clogo was. Is clogo the original boot logo of the bluish green Motorola symbol with "a google company" underneath it? If so, can I get it back and use it as my boot logo?
Apparently I thanked too many people last night so they won't let me hit the thanks button anymore today, lol, but I will come back tomorrow to do it!

Clogo is the logo, its the splash screen prior to the boot animation , I have no idea what it looks like anymore as I changed mine way back in sept. You can get it back by either flashing an ota, sbf firmware or pulling from the sbf firmware zip

The file that gave me trouble was the logo.bin that came with the 4.4 Verizon factory images.

No but I posted a link to the original image and I don't see why it would be any different on the XT1053.

So while I was rooting my MDR, I decided to load a new ROM (Artic) but the rom failed and crash. So I tried to flash back to a stock rom.....no dice. At this point in the game, I have no recovery, im stuck on fastboot with "Flash failure" at the top, RSD doesn't see it, and I've tried every fastboot flasher under the sun. I need major help!!!! I can't get anything to work.
UPDATE
Now it won't turn off for me to charge it, no matter what I do.
I am having the same problem too!!
I am waiting for a guy on another forum to send me a GSM restore package to see if that helps, but i feel very doubtful... I think we may need a new phone... (
Fingers crossed we get our phones working!!

I found the files while looking for a solution. They're suppose to be for the American Verizon GSM MDR, but that doesn't matter because RSD doesn't see it.

Here is the full /system (unmodified) for the latest AT&T ROM. Big thanks to @Nevea for getting TWRP on his wife's phone and getting me the /system for this. I do not have the boot.img, as I believe Dirty Santa requires a boot.img flash, so it would not have been stock.
For users: THIS IS NOT FLASHABLE. This is just for devs to be able to build a ROM with.

Unbrick method is common to a device series. But the files you use aren't. Only the modem files are different as far as I have seen. Correct me if I'm wrong. I don't think any other difference is there. After unbricking, you will get partition errors. Then, simply go to fastboot and use the correct files from your firmware. Instruction are given in my GitHub repository for this project. Read through my post and GitHub README.MD
Between, I'm still making things proper... You can have a look though..

I didn't want to give ASUS a heads up on the issue, but I don't care anymore. You can use a "raw" firmware to relock the bootloader. But this will not restore Over The Air (OTA) updates.

Here is a WW raw firmware; others can be found with Google:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78160485&postcount=24
For anyone still interested, according to the flashall.cmd packaged with the RAW firmware the relevant command seems to be "fastboot oem asus-csc_lk" @Tesla74 as the cmd file actually checks if the Bootloader was unlocked and then relocks it I don't think this is a mistake or something unintentionally done by Asus but wanted this way
Kind regards
Have you sorted ? Managed to relock ?
