in CM10.2, under display & lights -> Notification light, or Battery light
do we have both of those lights? I only see light near the power button.
And under these menu, we can select different colors. But if I test these colors, there is no effect, or maybe the light is disabled if I choose different color.
Do these options suppose to work? Or it is hardware limitation?
Thanks
Only one color and u have a battery light is the same as the notification light. When u plug in ur phone the light starts blinking.

Thanks for the confirmation.
But why CM10.2 has this option if our phone does not have this hardware support?
Shouldn't the ROM be customized to the hardware?

I think the CM11 10 and so on ROM's directly from cyanogenmob are universal Roms for the most parts that are just being made for each phone on to work but not actually really made from scratch for each phone.

From what I've noticed: blue is for notifications such as a missed call or a text message, the red one is for low battery or when it's charging and below 80-90%, green shows up when charge is above 80-90% however I've never seen purple

I don´t think a change LED Light in notification, I think change led light when i type on Screen or HW buttons or volume buttons, this color how i change ?
Xs illumination bar only come with one light color! People can still change the color if they want to. By opening the xs housing take out the buttom cap and change the led to any color! But it's not easy to do, u might mess up the phone!

Without root i can´t change Theme light color to other ? I want blue theme (sapphire) with white light color instead of blue light color
What? U've got blue light color? What do u meant by light color? Led notification? Transparent bar? Or what?

I use blue theme (sapphire) and my light light under display is blue and i want this light white without use root. White light with sapphire theme.
Sent from my Sony Xperia U using xda-developers app
I think root is required for that.
You can use an app or also do it manually (Shell script in XS4ALL or Tasker for example):
Blink the led light-blue:
#!/bin/bash
cd /sys/class/leds
su -c "
echo 255 > green/brightness
echo 255 > blue/brightness
echo 0 > red/brightness
sleep 1
echo 0> green/brightness
echo 0 > blue/brightness
echo 0 > red/brightness
"
i don't make nothing without root, right ?
Are u using XS? As far as i know XS transparent bar light come with white color only and i've never seen a blue obe using u change the led inside the phone!

Light is blue in blue theme, in green theme is green etc. and i want in blue theme white light without root. No in notifications for example gmail, sms etc. but when i press volume buttons or buttons under display, I think this light change. Illumination bar changing light only in notifications, right ? Illumination bar can´t change other light except for notifications. I dont have root and I want sapphire theme (blue - original theme included in phone) with white light. Its possible to do without root ?
sorry for my bad english
Do xs have
System/vendor/framework/overlays. And what's inside this? ??
May be I can help as understood what he wants

On a garnet red s3?
Hey guys, so far I am really happy with my S4. I have no complaints but one, the notification light. Dear god Samsung couldn't have possibly used a worse color. Its such a dark blue you can't even see it unless its very dark in the room you are in. I really want to change the color of the light but all of the apps have problems. I have Xposed installed and working and wanam running too. Is there any way I can change the color of the notification to like white or something?

That my friend is a darn good question. I used it and loved it on my Galaxy Nexus, but went to the HTC One from there and the light options were very limited. I have yet to test it out on my S4. But it seem the guy above me on this post likes it..I do believe there is a Lite version that you can test out as well!

I've used it on my S4 and loved it, you can pretty much set any type of notification to any color of led (granted if that color is supported by our device) you can also, if my memory serves me right, change the duration and and frequency of the led.

S4 has an RGB led for notifications. When I used lightflow, the best colors were, Red, Green, Blue, Purple, White, Pink. Yellow kind of worked, and some of the lighter colors, auqua, etc looked like white. It works good, if memory serves me correct, sometimes it would not reset it's notification, but other than that, it was pretty good.
you can download a LED notification manager that works just fine from playstore...
