Clockworkmod Recovery 6.0.1.0 download

Hi, I'm trying to flash the latest version (6.0.1.0) of the ClockworkMod recovery onto my GT-I9100 but I cant downland the required zip file.
The ROM Manager app gives me a download failed message, and the link on the website does not work, I suspect the app just uses the same download. I would post the link but the site wont let me as it's my first post.
Can anyone help. Is there an alternative download link I can use. I notice the links for 6.0.1.0 for other phone models seem to work but I'm not sure about using them on mine.
Cheers
i have the same problem

In samsung phones the recovery isn't separate. It's bundled along with the kernel
To use CWM6 flash a kernel which uses CWM6 like latest Siyah.
Don't use ROM Manager on GSII to flash recoveries.

[Q] xperia u help

Hi all
I recently attempted the install of a couple of custom xperia u ROMs while failing. I am unable to access cwm and can't boot into fast boot mode as the computer won't recognize it. Have spent hours trying to. Firstly I need a good guide on how to get windows 7 to recognize it as well as a stock cwm flash able zip for the st25a Australian version of possible
Thanks
I had a similar problem recently with a HTC HD2, no recovery, so I had to do a hard reset terminal and start from the begining.
Sometimes the USB connection also fails with computer, records excesses device links. Download "USB Oblivion" check real clean and run (remove all those links).
I have a Xperia Arc S, I advise you to start download one stock rom with root possibility and I'll leave a works based recovery (CWM Auto-installer Xperia 4.apk). With this phone I had some problems with the new Xpart7, recovery and install roms.Best used this old to start.
Another option, if you have the bootloader unlocked, would flash a kernel with a version of CWM included and that works for the rom you are installing. Once there, you restore or install your desired rom that surely you have prepared.
Good luck, hope I've helped.
PD: I am Spanish, and I donĀ“t write an advanced English, if any problems, quiet, I'll start posting in my language and you, if you are interested, you translate it
Saludos.
Thanks! Will try when I get home. Another question: do you need an unlocked boot loader to install custom ROMs and is there one that doesn't have to be installed over the stock firmware
Thanks

most custom roms can be installed on the stock kernel, so in that case you dont need unlocked bootloader, but if you use custom kernel you will need unlocked bootloader.

You are in the need to download the adb-drivers for your mobile and just install it along with the sdk then your computer will detect it as a fastboot device.

Hey yaldak! I also came from he S2 forum and nice to see you here
I flashed a custom ROM to my One a few days ago and have decided to go back to rooted stock...Ive downloaded the zip from the Nocturnal crew so we'll see how it goes. Nice to see you here though!
Sticking with stock for the following reasons:
- Device is relatively new
- Sense 5 is quite...nice actually
- HTC seems to be on their game with security and customizability of the stock ROM

No I didn't flash this just was hoping I could use this as an ruu. I think I know what I did. I was on cm10 and flashed straight to sense again without flashing a kernel so its boot looping. But it won't let me get into recovery anymore. Only the boot loader. Any ideas?

[ROOT][UNLOCKED BL] Proper root with fixed kernel + Philz/TWRP for 4.3 (14.2.A.1.136)

Steps (only for bootloader unlocked ZU's running 14.2.A.1.136):
1. Download and copy the latest SuperSU zip to your internal memory/SD card: http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu
2. Download my fixed kernel with dual recoveries from here: https://db.tt/0HagsJRy (The recoveries are taken from @[NUT]'s XZDualRecovery. All credits go to him.)
3. (If you already have 4.3, skip this step) Download and flash 14.2.A.1.136. The FTF's for different models are available in General and Android Development sections.
4. Once the FTF is flashed correctly, flash the downloaded kernel image from Step 2 using this fastboot command: "fastboot flash boot kernel-136-dual.img"
5. Reboot the phone ("fastboot reboot"). When the Sony logo appears and the LED turns violet, hold volume up until you get into Philz Touch [OR] hold volume down to enter TWRP.
6. Flash the SuperSU zip from Step 1.
7. Reboot and you're done.
IMPORTANT: If you use "Xposed Framework", you need this version for it to work on 4.3: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=48484642&postcount=6846

It most likely does since I was using a C6833 kernel on my C6802 with no problems. The only difference among the models is the radio; we share the same firmware. Why don't you give it a try and report back?

Nice job!
for anyone who think the root will be kept after re-lock (like we did in .257).. I tested it and the phone won't start.
I re-unlocked the BL with flashtool and the phone boot successfully and still has full root. :good:
@ChillyChan
how to get those navbar in pic in first post.
Excellent work
I'm executing an ric enable script via smanager at boot to turn my partial root to full root (which works) - your solution a lot nicer

Try using a newer version of recovery to install the Rom. It seems as if you are using a older version of recovery than is required for installing RR.

If you want to flash via recovery, download the zip file to your phone. If you want to flash with ODIN (recommended), download the tar.md5 file to your PC and flash with ODIN (select as PDA file).
Thanks a lot for your help, it worked !
