[Q] My phone have weird issue when i install Custom ROM - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
My phone (Samsung Galaxy 9100G) have weird issue when i install Custom Rom. After i install Custom ROM, i can not move icon app to around screen. I touch and hold icon app, then when i begin to move to other position the icon app drops to its current position. It is weird that when i attach usb cable or charger then touchscreen works properly, i can move icon app around screen.
This issue do not occur when i use Stock ROM.
Have anyone ever faced this issue before ? Please share your solution to resolve it.
Thanks all
P/S: I'm sorry if you don't understand my description. My English is not good

Is this on a particular custom ROM or on lots of different ones? If you've only tried one it may be worth trying a different one to see if that helps!

Thanks for your reply. I have tried a lot of ROM, at least 7,8 Custom ROM and the problem still remains

Buttons Not Working

Hey guys, I've come across an annoying problem with my X10. While using the phone, the 3 main buttons and camera button (all of the buttons sharing the ribbon along the bottom of the LCD) will stop responding. At first I thought I had broken the connector or something, but after a restart the buttons respond again. This is happening more frequently and is pretty annoying, any ideas for a fix?
I'm using Trips 1.7 Miui rom and haven't tested with SE's rom

Maybe app related on that 1.7 ROM. Try stock ROM to see what happens.

I'd suggest the same thing.
But also clear your (Dalvik-) Cache, Data and everything.
Also, maybe it's kernel-related. What kernel+baseband are you using?
Think it might just be a dodgy connection, seems to be ok atm
Baseband is Trip's 67, kernel 2.6.29
Did you tried pressing the buttons??
they are not capacitive like HTC and LG...!!

[Q] Security and netflix problem with starburst rom

HI,
I FOUND AN ISSUE WITH THE NEW STARBURST ROM, also used the new overclocking - its fast but with a problem (two of them below)
or maybe i'm the only one who has this problem but after installing the rom on my rooted GT 10.1, my netflix app seems to be not working any longer, the icon is also changed to a black background with an android logo on the bottom right corner with a the netflix working in the middle from the original red background. i have to keep installing the old netflix apk file for me to use netflix but after rebooting the system it has the same outcome.
SECOND,
the lock screen configuration is no longer working
everytime i select to enable lock screen (to turn it ON), it just throws me back to the application and security options. anyone has this problem -> what should i do to fix this issue????
please help..thank you.

[Q] 3 Strange issues on the SGS3

hey guys i have the international version of the SGS3 it is non rooted and i have not fooled around with any custom firmware or anything running the stock firmware that came with the phone. It is just 12 days old. I have been facing very strange issues with the phone which are mentioned below, i tried contacting sammy support for help but the tech team was not available and they say that i will get a call back in 24hrs although i am quite sure all they will tell me is do a factory reset. My issues are
1) I am using the digital clock widget that came with the phone and it randomly freezes as in it stops at a certain time but the clock in the notification bar continues to work. I have to manually remove and place the widget again and it comes back with the correct time.
2) My home screen widgets start flashing on their own and i am unable to click on any widget, i have to restart the phone and it starts working again.
3) The led notification light starts blinking a wierd purple color all on its own even tho i have no notifications or anything on the phone again i need to restart the phone and it starts working, i tried installing Lite Flow lite to see if it solved the issue and with that installed the issue goes away but i would much prefer not having the software installed.
Any help from all of you guys would be appreciated. Also attached a screenshot of the 1st error.

For the time stuff i would maybe try reseting the time in settings and see if it helps. and also clear the cache for the digital clock in settings app, may also help.
as for the flashing and what not, i did see that before when i was flashing roms......figured it was a bad flash though, didnt think anything of it as it went away when i flashed my next Rom. would hate to tell you to to flash another Rom to fix your issue
have you dont factory reset in settings.....maybe that will clear it all up for you. i know you will have to redo your phone but if it fixes it then there you have it :cyclops:
the time issue has not happened in the last day, for the flashing part i am on the original firmware have not flashed any rom's was planning to flash omega but after i solve these issues.
My digital clock freezes over time as well...
ok so it seems to be an issue with the SGS3 only, are you using any custom firmware?
ok finally got a reply from sammy for
1) they say if u click on clear ram it will cause the digital clock widget to hang
2) for this issue they say restore factory setting
3) this is caused because the phone searches for signal and hence it blinks.
I'm stock, no root. I did factory reset and have not cleared RAM recently. My digital clock still tends to freeze.

Touchscreen unresponsive after waking from sleep

I recently unlocked bootloader and installed custom ROM in my Redmi note 4(modo).After installing custom ROM touch screen goes unresponsive after waking from sleep. After restart the touchscreen works without any issues until the phone goes to sleep. The problem does not occur in miui.Only occur in custom ROM.Tried aosp extended,rr ROM,pixel experience ROM,ion os ROM the problem occurs in all above custom ROM.All the above ROM are pie based.
that is weird for sure
i didnt face any thing like that before
Yes that is very weird
did you changed your display panel for some reason?
if yes then it might be the issue. i have also faced this screen freeze issue on mido on which i changed display on my own from alixpress after broken screen, may be the lcd driver did not match! Try Havoc OS. it might work as its working for me. Weird!!
Hey i have solution for that
Just open back panel of your device remove the battery connection and connect it again & reboot again
(Note : before removing back panel 1st remove Sun tray)

Thanks Man. I too had the same problem. I repaired my broken screen from a local shop. And after installing custom room like AOSP extended and pixel experience, I faced the same issue. But after every restart it worked fine and screen freezed after lock down again. Now I have been using havoc os for nearly a month. Freezing occurred a few times for the first two or three days. But now it works like a charm. I don't know the actual problem but this works for me. Am using havoc os 2.4. Android pie version.
