[Q]About Bootloader-Orange - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hi all developers and members!
I have a question ... I have Xperia P and I have locked bootloader of orange but I took the sim-lock the bootloader but despite this I still have the "unlock alloved no".
So i call to Orange Poland on this issue and they told me that if I remove the sim-lock is a status change to "unlock alloved yes".
I also wrote a developer from sony and wrote to me that sometimes the status freezes or dies and even though I already unlocked.
What do you think about this? try to unlock?
Thank you and best regards

If you could remove the simlock(once your contract ends or before from some local shop) and then if it changes to yes then you could try to unlock. Though in some cases fastboot is disabled in device and doesn't gets enabled even after simlocking and unlocking. But you could give it a shot
Cheers,
AJ

Try to unlock, you have nothing to lose, in the worst case ur smartphone will reboot, nothing risky I am also curiuos, if it works then lets simunlock (I'm also in Orange Poland)

Sorry for my bad English but can he put it ...
Lock sim-lock I have removed the code from Sony Poland
And here the problem is that it is still unlock alloved: no
So as I mentioned I contacted Orange Poland and they told me the same thing that should be changed to: yes
I tried to upload a clean soft but despite this it is still the same.
They told me that sometimes this status is killed or crashes and is already unlocked bootloader possibility
Also I would like to hear some more "effective counsel"
I can unlock but I know that I can lose by a phone

Blabla - dont pay attention

You write stupid posts...

I repead: i have sim unlock via code from Sony PL,

I called sony Poland, the said there isn't and won't be possibility to unlock such devices, the redirected me to their partner who is working for them as a technical service, they have said there is a possibility (didn't desribed how) , they also haven't said about the payments, but I doubt it would be free (or cheap)

Again, write me stupid ... never told me you called quite different from what you write. ,,
FAST BOOT is a lock which only assumes the orange kind of thing.
* Bootloader unlock even though I have Status: not only to do that I need to have "unlocked fast boot" on orange admitted to me "dude" that you can unlock your phone by sending them and the cost will be about 50/60 zł.
Of course directed me here on this forum but apparently in the wrong section I wrote quickly and so does not know anything here :fingers-crossed:
Best regards from Crew Blur

I do not like people which lie ...
You write something I do not know .. PW already wrote about this as you do not write to me here their "unnecessary response"

I am not a liar so hold your tongue, I only told what I had known... With this post I finish this nonsense discussion. Many people unlocked their devices with network code, what didn't in process made a possibility to unlock bootloader...
So send your device wherever you want to...
Regards

sim-lock and fastboot this is another case.

Proof that Orange UK is not completely hopeless.

Hey guys
I'm a complete n00b to the Android scene, so I'll try and be as detailed as possible.
I received my Xperia S exchanged from Sony a couple of days back. I've been running Stability Test for about 54 hours straight (yep, not a typo). The battery temp. has constantly been between 42 C - 44 C after the first couple of hours.
I have an iPhone 4S (love both Android and Apple ), so I could afford to let the test go on for as long as I wanted to. I'm really happy to report that there's no yellow tinting issue anymore. Sony reps gave me a call and said my phone belonged to a new batch of phones they received (I had to wait almost a month), and this problem seems to have been rectified, atleast for me.
Then I called Orange and asked them for an unlock code again, since this phone was both network and bootloader locked. They dilly-dallied for about 30-45 mins till I got to speak to the supervisor (I'm no longer with Orange, probably the reason I was give the run around). He told me I'd be getting the unlock code within 24-48 hours, which I did.
After entering the unlock code, the phone is now both network unlocked and bootloader unlockable. I never expected the latter
Have taken both before and after pics. I've also run AnTuTu and Quadrant and got a score of 6746 and 3160 respectively. This is on stock unrooted UK Orange branded .73 rom.
Now to change over to a rooted/stock rom and debrand. Either the NO or CE1 I guess.
Hope this helps someone
Thanks.

Does this just work on orange. Has anyone else had success getting bootloader to say yes from network unlocking phone. Gonna try mine today.
I just got my network unlock code also. I was asked to put a SIM card in from another network to bring up the menu requesting the code. After entering it my phone iz unlocked but he bootloader is still unlockable. Are there different ways to enter this pin number ? Do different numbers do different things? Is this based on localisation at all? I changed from O2 Irl to Central Europe generic.

hello everyone.i requested my code from O2 UK.I received code in email after a week and now my mobile is unlocked to any network but unfortunately this unlocking doesnt change nothing with my bootloader, unlocking allowed still says no.thanks
Hi. I still waiting for my code to make it SIM FREE in Ireland. I hope my bootloader also will be unlockable after. ...

I can't comment about any other network. I've only had experience with Orange. They asked me to put in a different sim card and enter the unlock code, which I did.
Seems to be the only thing Orange are any good at lol
My phone comes from Orange in Spain, unfortunately Sim unlocking it did not change the permission to unlock the bootloader, so I'm stuck with an unrooted machine. Frustrating

Send the phone together with €500 to me.
No, i'm joking. You can't do it. There is a chance that it will be possible in the future, but at the moment it cannot be done.

unlock bootloader,mission impossible

after some time playing with my Ray i decided to unlock bootloader to gain the performance and battery life with custom ROM and kernels.Tried unofficial method with S1tool (testpoint) with no success.Searched around and it looks like that new Sony's has new security for bootloader.............waiting for solution, here is the screenshot of the error

Won't work if the phone is bought from a carrier (at least in North America).
I have the same problem with a MK16a Xperia Pro, production date 12W21. Testpoint doesn't work.
If your phone is produced after 12W14 it probably has the new security chipset that blocks the testpoint method.
I have done too much research on this - it is currently impossible to unlock these new Xperias using these setool programs, while the Sony S1 signature server is offline.
The worst part is, I decided to just SIM unlock the phone the traditional way (buying a code) and the code doesn't work (tried 2 providers, gave me the exact same code), so I can't even sell this junk I believe the new security chipsets are even blocking traditional unlock codes.
It is simfree phone so i dont have to unlock for all network, not interested in official unlock bootloader cause i dont wanna loose ability to update official way(fota brick),anyway thanks for the answers and hope that somebody will hack the "new security" soon.....stock ICS is laggy and choppy and i reverted to GB,frozen the bloatware and the phone is much better compared to how it was out of the box but i would like to test the custom kernels and ROM..........
I'm having the exact same problem. Would you check out my thread?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1889274
I wrote it before I found out there was the production date issue. You're from Canada so you're probably dealing with a Pro from Fido I'm guessing? Which is exactly mine. MK16a 12W21
I can sort of see why people are worried about losing the ability to officially update. But typically a developer uploads official builds within a day or two of the release. In fact because different regions and carriers release at different times you often get an update sooner via the forum. Similarly Sony are rolling out a tool for unlocked boot loaders to allow official builds to be installed. I think you have to try really hard to damage your phones hardware the official unlock method carries few risks if you're reasonably careful.

it's a 2011 model - before Sony introduced new security to defeat testpoints. So it's not helpful for those whose handsets were produced after February 2012.

Hi people

I have a small question, my phone got sim locked last week. And i gave it to a phone shop to unlock. They coulndt unlock the phone. Instead they rooted it. And i read here on xda sammy Q&A and found the voodo unlock app. This works now although i think i cant reboot because then it will lock again. My question is, can i (through kies) update my phone to JB without destroying my phone ? And will the root get unrooted??
Ty for response.
Ps im fairly new to the xda community and the world of rooting. Ds

Good question! Ask 3 UK Customer Service.. I think it is last in England who lock the phone :crying:
Hi.
Well the phone was unlocked the i9300 model. But I bought it abroad and traveled back to Sweden. I used the galaxy sim unlock software and gladly paid 17 sek for it. Now the phone works like a charm.
Ty for all replies.
Cheers

Unlocking bootloader

I've just been doing some reading/research regarding the bootloader. I found this page on Sony website: http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/instructions
I followed these instructions:
First, you should confirm that it is possible to unlock the boot loader of your device by checking the service menu. In your device, open the dialler and enter *#*#7378423#*#* to access the service menu. If you have a tablet, click here to learn how access the service menu.
In your device, tap Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status. If Bootloader unlock allowed says Yes, then you can continue with the next step. If it says No, or if the status is missing, your device cannot be unlocked.

Mine says it cannot be unlocked. Why is this? Will it ever be able to unlock it?

These instructions are for the Xperia Z1, but they should also work on the Z2.
Is it a phone from a carrier, or direct from Sony?
Does it have a sim lock?

From my experience with HTC, I would S-Off and super CID it. Is there something similar with Sony?

Does unlocking the bootloader this official sony way still erases DRM keys? My Z2 is lock-free, but I don't wanna lose the TA partition, even though I'm dying to root it.

Apparently it still does, yes. Although it remains unclear if you loose additional functionality as well. Look at this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2702001

ERROR - Error parsing settingsprefs.js

Hello there,
I'm trying to remove ROOT.
My device is BootLoader UnLocked.
My device is rooted.
My device is running the 14.4.A.0.108 FirmWare.
Searching for help doesn't help me at all http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/help/flashtool-error-parsing-settingsprefs-js-t2805196
My issue is this one:
When I am opening FlashTool64.exe, I get this error:
{

My computer is running Windows 8.1 Pro (updated) on an MSI Z77A-GD65 with a 840 EVO SSD (everything is up-to-date).
I used the disable driver signature enforcement.
I installed a lot of drivers for the Z Ultra in the Flashtool-drivers.exe.
And... I get this error...
What can I do to remove this red text ?
Or... Can I unroot with this error ?
(Because I give up by installing a custom rom, I'm reading, searching everything on the internet, and nobody offers me a link where everything is well explained, I remember how that was easy with the first galaxy note, now it's very uncomprehensible)...
I have the same issues
nevermind...
I'm gonna remove the unlocking, I have restored the DRM KEYS & I will try to update my device with Sony Companion and unroot
*#*#7378423#*#*
I'm unrooted...
But my bootloader is still able to be unlocked when I type *#*#7378423#*#* Configuration

If it say "allowed" that should be correct.
Yes, if it says "Allowed" then it's locked, but you're allowed to unlock it (again). If it says "Unlocked: Yes", then it's unlocked.
What exactly are you trying to achieve here? No recovery/No root/Locked BL? For what purpose?

I guess that is just an error in firefox's prefs file (flashtool looking for web proxy) so is nothing to worry about - just a guess though

so this error is just for a proxy issue ? :highfive:
blueether is right. Just install Firefox and open it, which creates the missing file. The error is gone. :good:
