I have the AT&T Galaxy Mega i527 I got the phone a little over a month ago and had it unlocked and running on T Mobile perfectly well a few days ago it stopped working so after calling Samsung and making a few more calls I'm being told im Blacklisted, so after paying The Unlock Pro's to fix this im getting full Data at over 10MBPS at all time and as far as I can tell my Text work but Calling Out/Receiving Calls has major issues! when it does(rarely does) call out it will take forever to start ringing and most of the time it will drop the call..please help!!

If your getting full data you can use various apps to make and receive calls and text like mo+ or grooveip to name a few. I believe you need a google number to use the aforementioned. There are some that provide a number for you like talkatone.

Those will all stop working as of mid-May. Google will be disabling external VoIP functions then.
Another alternative is skype. I pay 2.99 a month for unlimited calling in the US, you can also receive calls from landlines through skype. I think that service is like $7 a month. Hopefully this will help with your problem.

Google for checkesnfree, can verify if phones are blacklisted there.
Possible 1)
Dial *#0011# with your sim card inside. Look for something called "IMEI CERT". If it says "Fail" (or not listed at all) then the problem is "The Unlock Pro's" have buggered your NVM. And without a proper backup of your original NVM, nothing to do.
Possible 2)
Flash the stock modem for your Mega (newest version only) and kernel only. Wipe data/factory reset, then reapply your APN settings. Make sure to do a manual select on the network.
Possible 3)
Dial *#06#, write down your IMEI, then pull your battery out and look at the sticker on back and see if the IMEI on the sticker matches. If it doesn't then they have altered your IMEI (which is illegal by the way), and put your IMEI to one that is in use by another phone.
thanks for all the reply's!!! do you guys kno where I could download the modem for this phone?? I had to download an re-install the modem on my Unlocked AT&T S3 I747 I had on Metro
just to give a update im still having the calling out/receiving calls problem , the company I paid 60 to fix the IMEI refuses to even respond to my e-mails.. I jus find it weird im still getting full data at all times and the phone has the 4G LTE sign at the top right of the screen until I go to make a call then it jus goes to a regular 4G sign with no LTE. also I've noticed the calling out/receiving calls feature works fine depending where im at like for instance I went to the hash bash in Ann Arbor the other day and everything was working fine.. im thinking im going to just send the phone to Joe The Android Rooter and see if he has luck getting it figured out. I'm jus sick of this thing being a money pitt..

I flashed this device to verizon and it worked fine until i ran a program called wifi kill. Idk what the program did but it reverted all of my flash information back to sprint. So i had the flash redone again and now Im having issues.
I can make calls and send texts but i cannot receive the calls. The calling phone gets the ringing tone but the HTC does not ring at all. also I cannot receive texts. I text myself and the texts only come in when I make an outgoing call on the device or when i first torn on the device, the texts come in but after 10 seconds, no more texts enter the phone.
Can anyone help or have any clue to why this has happened?
And my data is working fine. 3G
Do you have the Verizon prl installed? Other than that it might be screwy bc you're not supposed to be on that network. Verizon doesnt recognize your number?
I'm sure you have heard it all before, but sprint can terminate your account for doing what you're doing.
i got it all sorted out. No i dont have an account with sprint. I specifically bought this phone to flash it. I bought it with a bad esn.

What did it end up being?
Recently bought a second hand S3 on the UK three network and used a unlock code as on t-mobile/orange. It was working fine but recently it stopped sending and receiving calls and texts. Data usage is fine. Not sure when this happened as mainly use it for data as have a works phone. Can remember doing a software update (think to jelly bean) recently but couldn't say whether its started after that. Have used my cut down sim in the wifes S3 and it works okay and put her sim in miner and that has same issue. When I try to call it immediately ends call and texts just fail. Have tried setting to network manually both 2g and 3g and auto, sometimes it say cant register and other times it does but when call ends it then seems to change to another available network. Started to think the imei may have been blocked but wouldn't expect data to work. Anyway rang t-mobile and they said everything looks okay their end and the imei is not black listed but not sure how they could tell that. Said the issue must be with my phone. Have emailed samsung to see what they say but not to hopeful with it being a second hand phone. The bars on the signal seem okay too.
Anybody got any idea's on what to try or do as its currently an expensive data only device. :crying:
Have already tried a factory reset.

Didn't have a backup of anything, why? One thing I have noticed is that the sim card doesn't click into the slot. compared it against the wife s3 and the sim card doesn't go as far down as if something is blocking it. Tried my sim in the wifes s3 only putting it in the same distance and it worked fine. Anyway just in case I took some of the plastic off the bottom right up to the metal chip so it would sit in the right place not being all the way down but it still does not work. Whilst having the sim in the wifes phone I diverted all calls to my works mobile and when back in my s3 its shows as calls being diverted so it must be working up to a point. Not sure whats wrong with the sim card slot, the mechanism which you push to insert and release seems to be broken so not sure if this is the cause or just a knock on effect from taking the sim card in and out alot
.
Can the sim card slot/mechanism be replaced/fixed easily?
My ATT HOX+ is not receiving incoming calls.
I am not sure when it started.
I rooted with Hasson's tool several days ago and I have no other problem that I know of. Not sure if rooting is responsible or not.
I can receive calls from my GF's ATT iPhone, but I get no image of her for some reason.
I do not get calls from my ATT landline (not U-verse VOIP).
I do not get calls from my mothers landline, she does have VOIP from something other than ATT.
Data, wifi, sms, mms, all seem to be fine,
Any advice is greatly welcome

You could run the RUU and see if that clears up the issue. If not, then you know it is a phone or network issue.
Tried everything that seemed safe to try.
Called ATT, the nice person took me off network and back on again while I had the sim card out.
Fixed the problem with my landline not being able to call, but not my mother not being able to call.
The tech is sending my to get a new sim card on the off-chance it is the culprit, but believes that it is a network problem.
I will check back with an update later incase anyone else has a similar problem.

I'm having the same problem as are others. Found this fix which might help.
http://www.andromods.com/fix-troubleshoot/fixing-htc-one-x-plus-cant-receive-calls-voicemail-problem.html
I'm experiencing this problem as well. It doesn't matter who tries to call me from what, but calls only make it through about 5% of the time, which is completely unacceptable. The calls that don't make it through won't go to voicemail. Half the time it rings endlessly, the other half it will give some message saying the call cant be completed.
When I first got the phone, I didn't switch my data plan to an LTE plan right away (Best Buy didn't require me to do so, and AT&T insisted that I had to switch to their $30/mo plan so I kept my $25/mo plan for the first few weeks). During the time I did not have an LTE data plan I experienced no issues with the phone. A few weeks back I noticed that AT&T was now giving me an option for a $25/mo LTE plan, so I switched to that. That exact day is when I started not being able to receive phone calls.
Other things I've noticed since switching to the LTE data plan:
When I make calls, I often have to try 2-3 times before I can get the call to go through. Sometimes as soon as I try to make the call, the phone beeps at me. Sometimes it will hang for a good 10 seconds before it starts to ring.
Occasionally my phone will stop recognizing the SIM card, requires reboot.
Occasionally I'll lose my data connection, requires reboot.
Text messages some times take over an hour to send/receive, sometimes this is solved by a reboot, other times not.
I went to an AT&T store, they tried switching out my SIM card, but did not help me any further because I bought the phone at Best Buy. (I wanted to argue with the rep, because I had bought my Atrix from Amazon, and the same AT&T store helped me with the problems I had with that phone). The rep fed me some garbage saying that some phone numbers just don't work with HTC phones. Fed up, I left the store.
Ok so I (foolishly) bought a galaxy s4 with verizon even though I was moving overseas to Israel in two months. I made sure that the phone was world capable (like it can do cdma and gsm) and the guy at the store said it would handle foreign sims no problem. Once I arrived here I got a new sim. I figured out that it needed to be in gsm. From then on it had the service bar and confirmed it was connected to Orange. Since then I have been able to receive calls and texts, but not make them, every time I try to make a call before one ring I get a prerecorded message saying that my number cant be completed as dialed. I have tried several things already to fix this: to a cell phone repair person, to the local sim carrier where a lady tried using the sim of her own phone, customer service at verizon and samsung (who both told me to go see the other). I also did a factory reset which didnt do anything.
my phone is not rooted and is schi545 ME7. I will root if I have to, but if I dont I would prefer not to for the time being
Anyway I suspect the problem has something to do with the fact that I got the phone from verizon. Every time I start the phone I get the Verizon logo and after a minute I get a notification from the verizon set up wizard saying that I have a non verizon sim and that the sims source is unknown. I also tried disabling the verizon security and was able to make the notification go away but the problem persists.
Can someone with experience with this kind of stuff help me please? Thank you so very much:good:
Are you sim unlocked? I don't think the phone is unlocked. Talk to verizon to see if they'll unlock it.
According to verizon I am. I spoke with multiple representives from verizon and they said the phone was unlocked

Has any one told you if you have to change any apn, access point name? That may be the problem too. They can be specific to the carrier.
No, how do you configure that

all LTE Verizon phones after Galaxy Note 2 are factory unlocked it must be a APN issue. Try maybe to do a factory reset and as previous poster suggested do the steps he told you to change the APN or look into I think it's called HiApn in Play Store.
Also try to put it in global mode or GSM? play with the settings.
still having problems
Thanks for all the input everyone but my problem still persists
I downloaded HiApn and followed its instructions to which told me to set up 3 Apns. I noticed that only one of them can be active at the time. I tried with each one active and I still can not make phone calls. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Go to Setting, call setting, disable the prefix international. I have done the same for using Verizon S4 in Indonesia.
Mine was not unlocked either, although I knew this before buying. This is a guide I tried (without success) to unlock it on my own.
Like the last poster, I reside in Indonesia, but I was never with Verizon. I rooted mine and have had no problems since.
Ok so I went to call settings and the closest I found was assisted dialing for international calls and the option to turn it on or off. I played with that for a bit and it didnt work.
I also tried the code and it said connection problem or invalid code
during my fiddling I came upon an app that showed promise of fixing my problem if I had adb shell. Does anyone have a good place to get that? I tried a few that didnt work out for me. There was another that showed promise but it wouldnt send a package no matter what I try
Thanks
If you want ADB, you need to download Android SDK and have Java Runtime Environment also installed. Then, it is just a matter of typing in "adb" into the command prompt of Windows.
Is there a serious conflict for you not rooting the device? The true benefit of doing this is to get SIM cards from anywhere to work, and to allow certain apps to work. Rooting is simply a matter of bypassing security parameters. As long as you follow instructions strictly, you won't have an issue using the phone as it should be used.
yea I suppose I could try to root it. Im just not great at that stuff and am worried about messing up my phone permanately

You don't need to root. You need to sim unlock. Get a hold of att international chat and adj them for an unlock code.
Hey guys thanks for all the help but I figured out that it was just a bad sim all along and that the first school screwed me over
But everything works now
Anyone get their call forwarding to work? If so what did you do.
I keep getting this same error: Failed to forward incoming call from your mobile device to your Gear. Tap OK to try again.
I got that too from time to time. But that is because my phone has a poor reception at home. Gear S need to ask your phone to setup the forwarding via special dialer code. If your phone can't get signal for dialing code, it will fail even though it may be connected to Internet via wifi.

Yea I think I'm screwed. At least I know it is possible on AT&T tho.
FIXED IT!
I was able to get this issue fixed. This was bugging me for a month. Here are the steps I took to resolve this issue.
Uninstalled Gear Manager from the Note 4.
When I reinstalled Gear Manager it forced me to do a factory reset on the Gear S. This did not fix the issue however.
Did a factory reset on both the phone and the Gear S. This also did not fix the issue.
Got a new sim card for the Gear S. This did not fix the issue.
Got a new nano sim card for the Note 4. The Note 4 takes a micro sim but I had an adapter I bought off Amazon that takes a nano sim and makes it fit into micro slots. This also did not fix the issue.
Upgraded to Lollipop. This did not fix the issue.
Finally I found this thread.
https://forums.att.com/t5/Samsung-D...y-Phone-Settings/td-p/4170378/highlight/false
Someone said it was the settings on my account. I called AT&T on my Gear S number and pressed some buttons till I got their Technical Support team. I somehow got transferred to their Advanced Technical Support team right away. I talked to a guy named Robert. He was super helpful and listened as I told him what my issue was. I didn't even mention the Gear S call forwarding problem as that confuses a lot of reps. I just told him that I couldn't access the call forwarding setting in my Android Note 4 because I was getting a sim card or network error. Which I was. I told him to check deep in my account setting as I researched this online and it appears to be an account settings issue. He worked on his end and told me to turn my phone off. Then he told me to turn it back on. I did and went into the settings and did not get the error message. I was soooo happy. I thanked Robert and told him I was just going to mess with the settings a bit more and I didn't want to keep him. He said thank you for being a valued customer and we hung up.
My real reason for going thru this was to get the call forwarding set up between my Gear S and my Note 4. I made a sign of the cross and kissed the feet of my Roman statue before trying to initiate the call forwarding through a remote connection between my Gear S and Note 4. This time it worked.
So in my opinion it appears to be an account settings issue because it works for me now.
The Problem Came Back Again
Ok so the problem came back again. AT&T said that it is a known issue where you can't set up your device for call forwarding. To fix it, all you have to do is call AT&T and they reregister your device to the network. Then, you turn your phone off and on again and everything works.

All i did was downgrade back to kitkat then tried call forwarding and it worked perfect then let the note 4 re update to lollipop and call forwarding still works and has ever since no more sim or network error this was the only way i found to fix it cause AT&T couldn't tell me why it wouldn't work.
You know I think you're right. Because in my case I took my Note 4 to the Samsung Experience in Best Buy and they flashed lollipop thinking that would fix it but it didn't. I had to call AT&T support each time it didn't work. Then the OTA update of lollipop came thru to my phone and I let it install. So basically I reinstalled lollipop even tho I already had. There must have been some AT&T updates in there because ever since the OTA it has been working flawlessly.
I still get the network or sim card error from time to time. Call forwarding works after a reboot of both the phone and the watch. It's dumb that I have to do that tho.

This is for at&t/takes a few minutes to get to the point but maybe it will help. This guy also does a pretty comical review of a durability test too. I heard at&t auto call forwarding is finicky.
How To Setup Call Forwarding for the Samsung Gear…: http://youtu.be/-pAeLZxOuqk
Yea that guy is awesome. I've seen his videos before.
Samsung locked the forwarding option off the note 4 at least for Att. Once you call them and have them set it up server side everything works perfect

Yea mine has been working recently so I'm good. My problem appeared to be AT&T. I went to the AT&T store and they told me to contact Samsung. I went to Samsung and they told me to contact AT&T. Made me wish I had an iPhone at that point.
Forwarding is an account feature. Samsung can't lock it. It is AT&T that locked it. It depends where your original AT&T account came from and how it was setup. They used to charge customers for this feature. That's why not everyone has it turned on.
Hope my experience will help someone. I followed all the tutorials I could find and could not get it to work. I finally gave in and called AT&T support. I didn't get the brightest person but this woman would not give up. On a last ditch effort it ended up being 2 things. I am behind a Microcell and forgot to enter the Gears S number. Second was she noticed that the profile for my line still had a Blackberry Passport on it from when I was messing around with one. She entered the IMEI for the Samsung device I am using and had me reboot. Wham, the Gear went into Call Forwarding mode. Tested all day today and just left my device at home. It worked like a charm.
I Still Love AT&T Tho
You got lucky. Whenever I call AT&T and mention the Gear S, they're like "uh" and don't even know what the device is. Same with the store. I went in there and they were like "man the Samsung guy was just here." I went to Samsung and they told me it was AT&T's fault and to contact them. I felt like Samsung was blowing me off but it really was AT&T's fault. If you ever have a problem with your call forwarding, don't even mention the Gear S when talking to AT&T. Just tell them you can't get your Samsung phone to set up call forwarding. Tell them every time you go into the call settings, then more settings you get a network and sim card error. When they fix this, they also fix your Gear S forwarding error without even knowing it.
